Silent Pendulum Records proudly presents Sepulchral , the latest devastating chapter from tech groove deathcore juggernauts LEYLINES. Out September 12th, this new release sees the four-piece push their already razor-sharp sound into darker, denser territory — combining surgical precision with raw, unrelenting chaos.
LEYLINES is a technical metal powerhouse formed by veterans of the extreme underground:
Jonathan Carpenter (ex–The Contortionist, Notochord, Foreign Waves) – vocals
Michael Ranne (Through The Eyes of the Dead, ex–My Bitter End) – drums
Bill Hobson (Falling Through The Center of The Earth, Circuit of Suns) – bass
Jesse Blanchette (Conforza, Graveborn) – guitar
On Sepulchral , the band explores a refined sonic assault — mixing crushing grooves, dissonant textures, off-kilter time signatures, and an emotional depth rarely heard in the genre. Vocalist Carpenter unleashes a full dynamic arsenal, from jagged screams to haunting clean passages, while the instrumentation shifts from mechanical ferocity to moments of eerie calm.
This EP follows their critically acclaimed self-titled debut in 2024 and showcases a band evolving quickly and with purpose. Engineered to rupture expectations, Sepulchral was mixed and mastered by Mikhail Marinas , with additional production by Leylines themselves, resulting in a sound that’s as crisp as it is catastrophic.
“LEYLINES sounds like a controlled demolition of the senses. This isn’t just music — it’s a collapsing architecture of rhythm and atmosphere,” says Silent Pendulum founder Eddie Brnabic.
