FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SHINY NEW TOYZ, DEVIL IN DISGUISE, CREEPER, BLACK REUSS, BRIAN MOODY, VICK LECAR FEATURED IN LATEST POWERPLAY ROCK AND METAL MAGAZINE ISSUE WITH SAMANTHA FISH ON THE COVER
Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that multiple MDPR roster artists have been reviewed in the latest issue of Powerplay Rock and Metal Magazine , featuring blues powerhouse Samantha Fish on the cover.
This issue continues Powerplay’s long standing tradition of showcasing both underground and established artists with detailed reviews spanning the full spectrum of rock and metal.
SHINY NEW TOYZ – “LORE”
Shiny New Toyz’ three track EP Lore is highlighted for its experimental alt metal direction and unpredictable songwriting. The review praises chunky riff work, shifting time signatures, and vocals that move between punk attitude, harsh screams, and ethereal chant-like passages. The band is described as unique and uncompromising, offering a challenging but rewarding listen that stands apart from the mainstream.
DEVIL IN DISGUISE – “NEVER MEANT”
Devil In Disguise return after a lengthy hiatus with Never Meant , tied to their earlier single Purge . The review focuses on their comeback narrative and solid hard rock foundation, drawing comparisons to Bullet For My Valentine style influence. While the musicianship is strong and the title track stands out, the critique notes a lack of distinct identity and vocal edge, resulting in an enjoyable but somewhat forgettable release overall.
CREEPER – “CRUSHING”
Creeper deliver a crushing blend of thrash and groove metal on Crushing . The review highlights Slayer inspired aggression, Pantera flavored groove sections, and consistent high impact heaviness throughout. Tracks are praised for their tight execution, crushing riffs, and old school intensity, making this a strong recommendation for fans of classic groove and thrash metal.
BLACK REUSS – “DEATH”
Black Reuss continue their conceptual gothic metal journey with Death . The review praises its atmospheric density, orchestral layering, and emotional weight, balancing haunting melodic passages with oppressive heaviness. The album is described as immersive and powerful, standing as a strong example of modern gothic doom done with vision and depth.
BRIAN MOODY – “BRIAN’S BRAIN”
Brian Moody’s Brian’s Brain earns top marks for its ambitious and expansive songwriting. Drawing comparisons to Devin Townsend styled sonic complexity, the album is praised for its riff driven structure, emotional scope, and standout tracks like Driftwood and Dead West . The review calls it a fully realized and highly rewarding listen with strong replay value.
VICK LECAR – “THE GOLD RECORD”
Vick LeCar delivers a diverse blues rock record rooted in classic influences and raw performance energy. Featuring Paul Manzi on early standout tracks, the album blends Deep Purple funk grooves, Zeppelin inspired grit, Santana flavored guitar work, and classic rock ballad elements. While slightly long, the release is praised for its authenticity, musicianship, and live feel.
Metal Devastation PR congratulates all featured artists on securing international print coverage in one of rock and metal’s most respected publications.

EATEN BY SHARKS UNLEASH NEW LYRIC VIDEO “IN TIDAL CHAOS” PREMIERING EXCLUSIVELY VIA SLAM WORLDWIDE . FULL LENGTH ALBUM THE UNDERTOW OF HATE ARRIVES JULY 17 VIA CDN RECORDS - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EATEN BY SHARKS UNLEASH NEW LYRIC VIDEO “IN TIDAL CHAOS” PREMIERING EXCLUSIVELY VIA SLAM WORLDWIDE . FULL LENGTH ALBUM THE UNDERTOW OF HATE ARRIVES JULY 17 VIA CDN RECORDS
Canada’s rising extreme metal force Eaten By Sharks have dropped their brand new lyric video for “IN TIDAL CHAOS”, now premiering exclusively through Slam Worldwide . The release marks the latest strike from the band’s upcoming full length album The Undertow Of Hate, set to arrive July 17, 2026 via CDN Records .
Known for their relentless fusion of technical death metal, progressive structure, and crushing groove, Eaten By Sharks continue to push deeper into a more cinematic and concept driven sound. “IN TIDAL CHAOS” captures the exact moment of collapse, where structure dissolves and everything is pulled under by force and fear.
The lyric video expands the album’s nautical horror narrative, diving further into the psychological descent hinted at in earlier material. It is heavy, fast, and tightly constructed, but still carries that unsettling sense of movement and flow the band has become known for.
“The Undertow Of Hate is us fully stepping into who we are as a band,” the group explains. “Everything is more focused, more intentional, and more connected. This record tells one continuous story from calm waters to total destruction and back again, but nothing comes out the same on the other side. IN TIDAL CHAOS is one of the key turning points in that journey.”
Produced by Eaten By Sharks alongside producer Christian Donaldson, who also handled engineering, mixing, and mastering, the album delivers a sharp balance of precision and brutality. Every track feeds the larger concept while still standing strong on its own, making this one of the band’s most unified and aggressive releases to date.
For fans of Fit For An Autopsy, Gojira, and Cattle Decapitation, The Undertow Of Hate is shaping up to be a standout extreme metal release for 2026.

Metal Devastation PR Artists Hellrazor, Divisions of Grandeur, LLOTH, and Nocturnal Ceremony Featured in Latest Issue of Metalized Magazine Featuring Venom on the Cover - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Metal Devastation PR Artists Spotlighted in Latest Issue of Metalized Magazine Featuring Venom on the Cover
Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that multiple artists from its roster have been featured in the latest issue of Metalized Magazine , which hits hard this month with none other than black metal pioneers Venom gracing the cover.
This latest edition showcases a strong cross section of underground and international metal, including reviews and editorial coverage of Metal Devastation PR artists spanning traditional heavy metal, funeral doom, blackened death metal, and long-awaited reunions from the underground’s past.
Hellrazor deliver classic heavy metal firepower
Canadian heavy metal act Hellrazor made a strong impression with their fourth album Wings of Deliverance (self released), earning a 9/10 review.
The feature highlights the band’s blend of ’80s inspired heavy metal energy with modern polish, drawing comparisons to Ghost, Dokken, Skid Row, and Judas Priest. With catchy songwriting, big harmonies, and strong production, the album was described as a standout release built on memorable choruses and a fresh retro edge.
Divisions of Grandeur embrace slow burning suffering
Funeral doom project Divisions of Grandeur was featured with their debut album The Prevalence of Suffering (Metal Devastation), rated 7/10.
The review emphasizes the band’s patient, immersive approach to songwriting, where atmosphere and weight take priority over speed. Spanning eight expansive tracks, the album was noted for its symphonic undertones, heavy mood, and thematic focus on human decay and existential despair.
LLOTH bring ancient weight and atmosphere
Greek blackened death metal duo LLOTH received coverage for Archees Legeones (Ancient Legions) (Theogonia Records), also rated 7/10.
The album was praised for its massive riffs, ceremonial pacing, and strong atmospheric identity. While the review noted a consistent mid tempo structure throughout, it also highlighted the band’s commanding presence and commitment to a dark, traditional sound rooted in ancient themes and disciplined execution.
Nocturnal Ceremony return after three decades
The issue also features an in depth interview and review coverage of reunited death metal veterans Nocturnal Ceremony , who return after 30 years with their album Obsidian (self released), also rated 7/10.
The interview explores the band’s rebirth after decades apart, sparked by a chance reconnection between original members. Their new material is described as raw, organic, and rooted in early Scandinavian death metal tradition, while incorporating modern production and darker atmospheric elements.
The accompanying review describes Obsidian as a brutal, uncompromising release that channels the spirit of the early 90s underground while pushing into more modern sonic territory.
Metal Devastation PR continues to push underground and international metal into the spotlight, connecting artists with global media coverage and keeping the old school spirit alive in today’s evolving heavy music landscape.
More features, interviews, and releases are on the way. Stay tuned, stay loud, and keep it underground.

BALASHTOTH Releases Debut Full-Length Album Equation II: The Antithesis of Life and Free Will - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BALASHTOTH Releases Debut Full-Length Album Equation II: The Antithesis of Life and Free Will
Melodic Death/Thrash Metal Project Completes the Anti-Life Equation Saga With Its Most Ambitious Release Yet
June 12, 2026 marks the arrival of BalashToth's highly anticipated debut full-length album, Equation II: The Antithesis of Life and Free Will , a powerful and thought-provoking journey through melodic death metal, thrash, and existential reflection.
For fans of At the Gates, Dimension Zero, The Haunted, Carcass, and Dismember , Equation II: The Antithesis of Life and Free Will delivers a relentless blend of aggression, melody, atmosphere, and introspective lyricism while honoring the classic Swedish death metal sound that helped define the genre.
BalashToth is the solo project of Balazs Toth , former guitarist of the Hungarian melodic death metal band Casketgarden . After relocating to Ireland in 2012 and studying music production and mixing, Toth gradually transformed the BalashToth name from a YouTube channel dedicated to riff challenges, covers, song recreations, gear reviews, and mixing tutorials into a fully realized recording project.
Following the acclaimed 2023 EP Anti-Life , the 2024 EP =Equation= , and the =Anti-Life/Equation= compilation CD, BalashToth now arrives at its first full-length release. The previous EPs were met with strong underground recognition, with Anti-Life being named among the top Irish-based metal EPs of 2023 and the 2024 compilation appearing on several Hungarian year-end lists. The album also follows the 2025 Paradise Lost cover single, Mortals Watch the Day .
"Equation II - The Antithesis of Life and Free Will completes the Anti-Life Equation thread introduced on the earlier releases. Across eight full tracks and an atmospheric intermission built entirely around viola, the album explores different shades of melodic death metal, from the 280 BPM attack of '+Fear + Despair' to the old-school death metal feel of 'Self = Dark Side' and the doomy closing track 'x Judgement,' which features Adam Toth (Kajgün, ex-The Dethroners, Art of Dethronement) on viola. Lyrically, the record continues the themes of the previous EPs, but from a more personal and close-up perspective rather than the broader, catastrophic view of earlier material."
The album showcases a wide range of influences and moods while maintaining a cohesive vision. Blistering speed, crushing grooves, melodic leads, and haunting atmosphere combine to create a record that feels both familiar and uniquely personal.
The first single, "÷ Misunderstanding," embraces a traditional melodic death metal approach, blending uneasy timing shifts, bleak atmospheres, and emotionally charged vocal performances from Deathmetalvoicer . The collaboration emerged through previous full-band cover projects on the BalashToth YouTube channel, where the duo tackled material from The Haunted, Dimension Zero, Gates of Ishtar, Entombed, and Iron Maiden.
The second single, "Self = Dark Side," takes a more groove-oriented, old-school approach while delivering a memorable melodic death metal chorus. Lyrically, the song explores the collapse of identity through endless desire, portraying a cycle of consumption, illusion, and decay where satisfaction only deepens the void.

WICKED ONE Unleash Debut Single "Kneel Before Lucifer" In Metal Injection Premiere - @thebeast
WICKED ONE Unleash Debut Single "Kneel Before Lucifer" In Metal Injection Premiere
A new force has emerged from the shadows of the extreme metal underground. WICKED ONE, a black metal project formed by a collective of acclaimed death metal veterans, has officially unveiled its debut single and music video, "Kneel Before Lucifer," which premiered via Metal Injection on June 6, 2026.
Check it out here:
https://metalinjection.net/av/video-premiere/premiere-new-black-metal-band-wicked-one-release-menacing-single-kneel-before-lucifer
Drawing from decades of experience across some of metal's most respected acts, WICKED ONE unites musicians whose histories include work with Nile, The Black Dahlia Murder, Deeds of Flesh, Vital Remains, Arsis, Nevalra, Serpent of Gnosis, and more. The lineup features Scott Eames, known as "Wicked One," on guitars, vocals, and songwriting, alongside drummer Darren Cesca ("Agares") and bassist Maxwell Lavelle ("Malvernis").
The band's first offering, "Kneel Before Lucifer," serves as the opening chapter of their forthcoming debut album, Burn Thy Offering . Released symbolically on 6/6/26, the track introduces listeners to WICKED ONE's vision of uncompromising black metal, blending relentless aggression, sinister atmosphere, and anti-religious themes into a fierce sonic assault.
Metal Injection described the track as embracing "all things satanic," featuring an ominous chorus alongside obliterating blast beats, crushing gutturals, and feral screams. The premiere also highlighted the band's mission to bring a fresh yet authentic approach to extreme metal while remaining firmly rooted in black metal's darkest traditions.
According to founder and songwriter Scott Eames, the project has been years in the making.
"I used to play the Wicked One character in a previous band. After having a blast playing the character for years and many tours, it felt like Wicked One deserved its own voice. WICKED ONE isn't about reinventing the wheel. It's about stripping everything down to something direct and unapologetic: scathing black metal that simply drips with hatred."
Eames further explained why "Kneel Before Lucifer" was chosen as the band's debut statement.
"'Kneel Before Lucifer' was chosen as the first single because it captures the core DNA of Wicked One. The atmosphere, the aggression, and the themes that define the entity. It simply drips with hatred. It serves as the first chapter and the gateway into this world."
To bring the visual side of the project to life, WICKED ONE partnered with renowned production team Aimed & Framed, whose impressive portfolio includes work with Kerry King, Deicide, Suffocation, and Exodus. The resulting visual presentation delivers a dark and gothic aesthetic that complements the track's menacing atmosphere.
The project's visual identity extends beyond the music video. WICKED ONE's logo was crafted by legendary Belgian illustrator Christophe Szpajdel, widely known throughout the metal community as the "Lord of the Logos" for his iconic work with bands such as Emperor, Old Man's Child, Enthroned, and Borknagar.
While WICKED ONE is only now making its public debut, Eames revealed that the concept has existed in his creative world for years.
"What began as a persona slowly took on a life of its own, appearing in different artwork, concepts, and projects. Over time, it became clear that Wicked One was never meant to remain just a character. It demanded its own world, its own voice, and ultimately its own music."
The debut release has already generated strong interest among fans, with teaser footage accumulating more than 44,000 views prior to the video's official premiere. Additional singles and music videos have already been completed and are scheduled for release in the coming months as WICKED ONE builds momentum toward the full unveiling of Burn Thy Offering .
With future albums already in development and plans for worldwide live performances, WICKED ONE is positioning itself as a long-term creative endeavor rather than a one-off side project. For Eames, "Kneel Before Lucifer" represents a defining moment.
"For me, 'Kneel Before Lucifer' is more than simply the first song release. It's the moment Wicked One crosses the threshold, and the world gets to hear Wicked One in full form, staring back."

Decibel Premieres Full Pre-Release Stream Of Nuclear Tomb's Epoch Inhumane Ahead Of June 12 Release - @thebeast
Decibel Premieres Full Pre-Release Stream Of Nuclear Tomb's Epoch Inhumane Ahead Of June 12 Release
Baltimore's mind-bending thrash extremists Nuclear Tomb are giving fans an early glimpse into one of the year's most anticipated underground metal releases.
In partnership with Decibel Magazine , Nuclear Tomb have officially launched a full album stream of their forthcoming sophomore full-length, Epoch Inhumane , allowing fans to experience the entire record before its official release on June 12 via Rotted Life Records.
Check it out here:
https://www.decibelmagazine.com/2026/06/10/album-premiere-nuclear-tomb-epoch-inhumane/.
The advance stream arrives amid a wave of praise from critics across the underground metal landscape, with reviewers hailing the album as one of the most inventive, aggressive, and compelling thrash releases of 2026.
Drawing inspiration from legendary boundary-pushers such as Voivod, Pestilence, Coroner, and Atheist, Nuclear Tomb continue to carve their own warped path through the metal underground. Their sound combines razor-sharp thrash riffing, chaotic punk energy, progressive experimentation, and classic heavy metal grandeur into a sonic assault that feels both familiar and completely alien.
Decibel Magazine described the album as:
"Unabashedly pulling from weirdos of the past like Voivod and Atheist, though never giving in to straight up tribute or worship. Endlessly fascinating."
The acclaim doesn't stop there. Publications across the globe have showered Epoch Inhumane with praise, including Metal Temple's 9/10 review, Mystification Zine's 9/10 score, Broken Tomb Magazine's 9.5/10 rating, and countless endorsements calling the album a potential year-end standout.
After spending the past two years refining new material both in the studio and on stages stretching from Texas to Quebec, Nuclear Tomb return with a record that pushes every aspect of their sound further into the unknown. Faster tempos, sharper hooks, and increasingly unpredictable songwriting fuel an album that explores themes of societal collapse, existential dread, and humanity's self-inflicted downfall.
The band's description of the record says it all:
"Mind Thrashing Sonic Nightmares."
For fans seeking metal that challenges convention while maintaining crushing intensity, Epoch Inhumane appears poised to become a mandatory listen.

HEXJAKT AND DOOMHERRE FEATURED ON UPCOMING NORDIC DOOM SPLIT "FOUR ALTARS OF SIN" - @thebeast
HEXJAKT AND DOOMHERRE FEATURED ON UPCOMING NORDIC DOOM SPLIT "FOUR ALTARS OF SIN"
The Nordic doom underground continues to thrive, and two standout acts from the Metal Devastation PR roster are set to make their mark on an ambitious new release arriving later this month.
Swedish doom metal forces Hexjakt and Doomherre will both appear on Four Altars of Sin , a four-way split album being released June 26, 2026, through Majestic Mountain Records. The release brings together four respected names from the Nordic doom and stoner metal scene, including Finland's Kaiser alongside Sweden's Hexjakt, Ordos, and Doomherre.
The project showcases a diverse range of heavy sounds rooted in doom, stoner rock, and classic metal traditions while highlighting some of the strongest emerging and established acts currently carrying the torch for the genre across Scandinavia.
Hexjakt continue their rapid ascent following the release of their acclaimed debut album Blessing of the Damned in late 2025. Earning a remarkable 9/10 review from Sweden Rock Magazine, the Västmanland-based band quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in modern doom metal. Their contribution to the split, "Svartkonst," promises to deliver the band's signature blend of crushing riffs, haunting atmosphere, and emotionally charged songwriting.
Meanwhile, Stockholm doom trio Doomherre contribute the brand-new track "Blood Relics of Old." Drawing inspiration from classic doom legends such as Candlemass, Trouble, and Saint Vitus, the song expands upon the dark mythology established across the band's previous releases Bonegoat (2023) and Plaguelords (2025). The track serves as both a continuation of their growing legacy and a powerful standalone statement of traditional doom metal.
Joining them on the release are Finnish stoner powerhouse Kaiser with "Sonic Satan" and Swedish doom veterans Ordos with the epic "Inferno." Together, the four bands create a collection that celebrates the depth, diversity, and enduring strength of Nordic doom and stoner metal.
Four Altars of Sin Track Listing:
• Doomherre – Blood Relics of Old
• Ordos – Inferno
• Hexjakt – Svartkonst
• Kaiser – Sonic Satan
Four Altars of Sin will be available on limited-edition vinyl and across all major digital platforms beginning June 26, 2026, through Majestic Mountain Records.
For fans of heavy riffs, towering atmospheres, and the darker side of Scandinavian metal, this is one release that deserves a place on your radar.

Mephisto Odyssey’s Mikael Johnston Receives RIAA Gold Certification for His “Crucified Dub” of Static-X’s “Push It” - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mephisto Odyssey’s Mikael Johnston Receives RIAA Gold Certification for His “Crucified Dub” of Static-X’s “Push It”
Alternate version developed with Wayne Static during the band’s early Warner Bros. era earns Gold status, highlighting one of Static’s most notable creative collaborations outside Static-X
April 21, 2026 — The RIAA has officially certified Static-X’s iconic single “Push It” as Gold. Among the versions featured on the original 1999 maxi-single was the “Crucified Dub,” an alternate version created by Mikael Johnston of Mephisto Odyssey with creative input from Wayne Static.
Johnston recently completed a 2026 remaster of the track at Pop Twist Studios. The updated version is now streaming here:
The accompanying video was edited by filmmaker Matt Zane.
Wayne Static did not just approve of the “Crucified Dub” — he embraced it, recognizing the creative chemistry he shared with Johnston as something distinct from the core Static-X sound. That connection became the foundation for an ongoing creative partnership.
Static later contributed vocals and writing to Mephisto Odyssey’s “Crash” from the album The Deep Red Connection . The track was featured on the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker soundtrack, received significant alternative rock radio play and MTV2/MTVX rotation, and was supported by a music video directed by Len Wiseman, featuring Koichi Fukuda on guitar.
Over the following years, Wayne Static continued to work with Johnston whenever he wanted to explore material outside the traditional Static-X framework. Johnston and Mephisto Odyssey contributed remixes and alternate versions for several key tracks, including:
“Love Dump” (Mephisto Odyssey Voodoo Mix) — featured on the 2001 film Valentine soundtrack
“Cold” (Mephisto Odyssey Remix) — released on German promotional singles tied to the Queen of the Damned soundtrack and distributed to winners of a Static-X fan contest
Additional remixes for Static-X tracks including “This Is Not” and “Black & White”
Johnston and Wayne Static remained close collaborators and friends until Static’s passing in October 2014.
In addition to his own work, Johnston has become a visible supporter of filmmaker Matt Zane’s upcoming unauthorized documentary on Wayne Static and Tera Wray, a project that has faced resistance in some circles. Johnston has granted Zane permission to use his 2025–2026 reimagining of “CRASH: Reborn” in the film.
“Wayne was genuinely happy with how the ‘Crucified Dub’ turned out, and that trust led to us working together on several projects over the years,” Johnston said. “I’m proud of the music we created together, and I’m happy to support Matt’s documentary. Wayne’s story deserves to be told honestly, not filtered or controlled by people with their own agendas.”
As interest in Wayne Static’s unreleased recordings and unfinished projects continues to grow, Johnston’s long and well-documented history with Static has placed him at the center of ongoing discussions about how the singer’s legacy should be preserved and presented moving forward.
Mikael Johnston continues to work at Pop Twist Studios in Texas.

CEMETERY ROT UNCLOG THE SEWERS WITH NEW SELF-TITLED TRACK FROM UPCOMING ALBUM “DECOMPOSING BODIES UPON THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE” - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CEMETERY ROT UNCLOG THE SEWERS WITH NEW SELF-TITLED TRACK FROM UPCOMING ALBUM “DECOMPOSING BODIES UPON THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE”
From the filth-soaked underground of Kern County, California comes a new slab of pure death metal rot. Cemetery Rot return with a self-titled track lifted from their forthcoming full-length, Decomposing Bodies Upon the Altar of Sacrifice , arriving via CDN Records .
This is not polished. Not cleaned up. Not watered down for comfort. This is death metal dragged straight through the sewer line and left to ferment.
Cemetery Rot have always operated like they crawled out of the pipes rather than a practice space. Formed in 2022 by guitarist and vocalist Gar, the band quickly carved out a name with their debut EP Euphoric Consumption of Human Flesh , establishing a sound rooted in early 90s demo-era death metal brutality. No gloss. No compromise. Just decay, despair, and distortion.
Now they push deeper into the rot with a new self-titled track that sets the tone for their upcoming record Decomposing Bodies Upon the Altar of Sacrifice . The song leans hard into what the band has always represented, suffocating atmosphere, low end punishment, and that cold reminder of what death metal is supposed to feel like when it is done right.
Cemetery Rot describe themselves as coming “from the sewers,” and honestly, it tracks. This is music that sounds like it was unearthed, not recorded. A direct transmission from the slumber of decay, where everything is collapsing in slow motion and loving every second of it.
For anyone still loyal to the raw spirit of early tape-trading era death metal, this is aimed right at you.

RADIANT BLACK’S “THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DECAY” OUT NOW - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RADIANT BLACK’S “THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DECAY” OUT NOW
Stream and purchase:
https://radiantblack.bandcamp.com/album/through-the-valley-of-decay
Progressive / Melodic Death Metal duo Radiant Black unleash their most immersive and structured release to date with “Through the Valley of Decay,” out now, June 8th, 2026. The new full-length marks a clear step forward in their evolution, pushing deeper into atmosphere, contrast, and tightly constructed songwriting, anchored by expressive lead guitar work and intricate melodic soloing that continues to define their sound.
Built as a continuous emotional descent, the album moves through shifting layers of melody, intensity, and dynamic guitar interplay. Opening track Ascent sets the tone before diving into the evolving textures of Viridian and First Light , expanding the band’s sonic palette into more experimental and progressive territory while showcasing detailed phrasing and lead passages. Tracks such as Elegy for the Condemned , Between the Faces , and The Witness drive into darker, more aggressive ground, while the closing piece Hall of Voices delivers a reflective and atmospheric finish.
A standout moment arrives with a guest saxophone performance by Hugo Lee on First Light , adding an unexpected layer that pushes the record further into progressive territory.
“Through the Valley of Decay” was produced and mixed independently by guitarist Raphael Meissonnier, with mastering by Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation, Fallujah, The Zenith Passage), delivering a sharp, powerful final sound.
Radiant Black, formed in 2022 by Raphael Meissonnier and vocalist Voiicide, continues to operate outside traditional label systems while steadily building momentum through releases including Epoqualypse (2022), Reborn (2023), and Rituals of Anarchy (2024). Their sound keeps evolving around melodic precision, progressive structure, detailed guitar work, and modern extreme metal intensity.

CDN Records Announces “The Forgotten” Red Vinyl LP Reissue from Canadian Death Metal Legends Rotting - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CDN Records Announces “The Forgotten” Red Vinyl LP Reissue from Canadian Death Metal Legends Rotting
Out Now • Limited Red Vinyl Edition Available for Order

">
https://cdnrecords.com/shop/rotting-the-forgotten-lp/
/>
CDN Records proudly announces the release of The Forgotten , a definitive archival compilation from Canadian brutal death metal pioneers Rotting , now available as a striking red vinyl LP. Remastered by acclaimed producer Dan Swäno, this release dropped May 29th, 2026 and is available now through CDN Records while supplies last.
This special edition stands as a raw and unfiltered document of one of Canada’s most important underground extreme metal acts. Before technical precision and modern production defined the genre, Rotting helped shape the foundation of brutal death metal through sheer weight, atmosphere, and uncompromising intensity. Emerging from Newmarket, Ontario in 1991, the band carved out a reputation built on devastating riffs, cavernous vocals, and a deliberately abrasive sonic identity that influenced a generation of underground musicians.
The Forgotten collects essential early recordings that trace Rotting’s evolution before their landmark album Crushed . The compilation features material from the infamous “Human Race Liquidation” demo alongside the more refined but equally punishing “Drown in Rotting Flesh” sessions. Together, these recordings capture a band operating at full creative force, refusing trends and leaning into a sound defined by analog heaviness and physical impact.
Guitar work from Jeff White and Rob Macaulay drives the record with dense, crushing riffs, while Keith Devry delivers relentless percussion that anchors the release in pure rhythmic violence. Korey Arnold’s subterranean vocal delivery completes the signature Rotting sound, a style that became instantly recognizable within global tape trading and underground zine culture.
In keeping with the band’s original ethos, this reissue preserves the integrity of the source material. No modern overproduction has been applied, and the recordings remain faithful to their original tape-era grit. The result is a release that prioritizes atmosphere, weight, and authenticity over digital refinement.
This edition of The Forgotten also includes two of Rotting’s final recorded tracks, “I Want You Dead” and “Bear Attack,” offering a rare glimpse into the closing chapter of their early era.
Released through CDN Records , the red vinyl edition of The Forgotten is available now for $30.00 CAD. International orders outside Canada and the United States are available upon request through the label.
This is not just a reissue. It is a restoration of a foundational era in Canadian extreme metal history.

Matt Zane Clarifies Use of Archival Wayne Static Footage in Recent Static-X Visual Releases - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Matt Zane Clarifies Use of Archival Wayne Static Footage in Recent Static-X Visual Releases
Los Angeles — Filmmaker Matt Zane has issued a statement regarding the use of archival footage featuring Wayne Static in recent Static-X video releases.
Zane states that the images and footage of Wayne Static appearing in the videos for “Bring You Down,” “Dead Souls,” “Terrible Lie,” “All These Years,” and “Stay Alive” were originally shot by him and sourced from his private archives.
According to Zane, the material was captured during his previous professional work with Wayne Static and later made available for use in connection with the band’s visual projects. Zane says the footage was shared under an informal understanding tied to ongoing documentary work he is producing centered on Wayne Static and Tera Wray.
“I made the footage available in good faith based on an understanding tied to a larger documentary project,” said Zane. “My intent has always been to preserve and present Wayne’s legacy in a respectful way.”
Zane notes that he does not believe a formal written agreement transferring full ownership or broad licensing rights for the footage was executed.
He also confirms that production continues on his independent documentary project focused on Wayne Static and Tera Wray.
No further comments have been issued at this time.

Severed Sun Announce New Studio Album Complexities of Conflict - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Severed Sun Announce New Studio Album Complexities of Conflict
Central Florida heavy hitters Severed Sun are set to return with their third full length studio album, Complexities of Conflict , a release that pushes deeper into their signature blend of groove, aggression, and melody while carving out new sonic territory. Release date is currently listed as TBD.
Rooted in the Orlando and Clermont music scenes, Severed Sun have built a reputation over more than a decade of relentless live shows, tight musicianship, and a sound that swings from bluesy hard rock swagger to down tuned sludge, speed driven metal, and atmospheric clean passages without losing its edge.
The band features Kevin (guitars), Ricky (guitars), Rod (vocals), Daryl (bass), and Gavin (drums). Together they continue to refine a sound built on hook driven riffs, strong vocal range, and blistering lead work that hits just as hard in a club as it does on record.
About the New Record
Complexities of Conflict marks the band’s third studio release and follows their earlier EPs Strength Judged By Power and Catacombs , the latter released worldwide through Metal Scrap Records .
A band statement on the record sums it up plainly:
“This will be the 3rd studio album release from Severed Sun, featuring explorations of new directions, familiar grooves, and even more brutal but memorable riffs.”
If the past releases were about proving impact, this new chapter is about expanding it. Expect heavier lows, sharper hooks, and a wider emotional range without losing the grit that defines the band.
Live Legacy
Severed Sun are no strangers to the road. Their touring history includes the Last Rites Tour in 2018 and the Call to Arms Tour in 2024, both stretching across the U.S. east coast and landing them on stages in 11 states, including legendary stops like Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ and The Rooster in Gastonia, NC.
Over the years, they have shared stages with acts such as Quiet Riot, Green Jellÿ, Madam Mayhem, The D.O.O.D., From Blue to Grey, Meka Nism, F.I.L.T.H., Murderfly, and SoulSwitch, proving their ability to hold their own alongside both legacy and rising names in heavy music.
Sound and Influences
Fans of classic and modern heavy music will find familiar ground here. Severed Sun draw from the raw weight of Black Sabbath , the groove aggression of Pantera , the melodic precision of Iron Maiden , and the modern punch and swagger of Black Label Society , blending it into something that sits comfortably in today’s heavy music landscape while still respecting the roots.
About Severed Sun
Severed Sun are an experienced metal and hard rock band based in Central Florida, known for high energy performances and a diverse but consistently heavy sound. Their catalog includes two EPs and a growing catalog of live experience that has made them a steady presence in the underground metal circuit.
With Complexities of Conflict , the band steps forward with intent, heavier, sharper, and more dialed in than ever.

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY Ignite Europe on “CHAOS ACROSS EUROPE/UK MMXXVI” Summer Run Cavalera Conspiracy - @thebeast
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY Ignite Europe on “CHAOS ACROSS EUROPE/UK MMXXVI” Summer Run
Cavalera Conspiracy are back on the road this summer, tearing through Europe with their “CHAOS ACROSS EUROPE/UK MMXXVI” tour. The setlist leans hard into the band’s legacy, built around the seismic impact of Chaos A.D. and its continued relevance more than three decades later.
From packed festival fields to a handful of tightly held club shows, this run blends massive stages with more intimate chaos. Those smaller headliner dates are already pushing toward sold-out status, proving the demand is still very real for the Cavalera brothers’ brand of controlled destruction.

The band’s live focus continues to orbit the Chaos A.D. era, a record still considered one of the defining heavy releases of the 90s. Tracks like Refuse/Resist , Territory , Slave New World , and Propaganda remain battle cries for a generation that never really stopped needing them.
The energy behind the revival has been fueled by the brothers’ recent re-recording work, including their renewed take on Schizophrenia . The official video for “Nightmares of Delirium” is available here:
About the CHAOS Legacy
Originally released over 30 years ago, Chaos A.D. still hits with the same weight it did in its first wave. The album’s themes of conflict, unrest, and survival continue to mirror a world that has not exactly gotten quieter.
The Cavalera brothers built a reputation on turning that tension into sound, and that mission has not changed. The live show reflects that same spirit, fast, loud, and unapologetically direct. No polish, no filter, just impact.
With European festivals locked in and U.S. dates following later in the year, Cavalera Conspiracy are treating 2026 like a full-scale takeover. The message is simple: the chaos never left, it just found a bigger stage.

Lindsay Schoolcraft’s “Vague” Delivers a Haunting, Cinematic Deep Dive Into Heartbreak and Clarity - @thebeast
Lindsay Schoolcraft keeps leveling up with “Vague,” and this one hits like a late-night confession you were not quite ready to sit with.
This track leans hard into atmosphere and emotion, less about flash and more about that slow emotional weight creeping in. It is stripped of any pretense, just raw feeling carried by haunting melodies and a vocal delivery that sounds like it has lived through every line. The string work from Spencer Creaghan is the secret weapon here, giving it this cinematic ache that hangs in the air long after it ends.
What stands out most is how controlled the vulnerability is. Nothing feels overdone. It is the sound of someone sitting in the wreckage of a relationship and choosing clarity over chaos, even when it hurts. That is not easy territory to pull off without slipping into melodrama, but she keeps it grounded.
If this is the direction of Harrowing , then we are looking at a record that is going to hit people where they actually live, not just where they listen. This is headphones-on, lights-low music with real weight behind it.

SÖNUS CRACK TOP 10 ON DOOM CHARTS WITH “PLANES OF TORMENT” - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SÖNUS CRACK TOP 10 ON DOOM CHARTS WITH “PLANES OF TORMENT”
San Francisco heavy outfit SÖNUS have landed at #7 on the Doom Charts with their latest release Planes of Torment , marking a major breakout moment for the self-released record.
The album, a raw and unfiltered seven-track statement of heavy intent, has been praised for its “live in the studio” energy, old-school songwriting spirit, and the tight chemistry of the band’s current power-trio lineup. Blending heavy metal, stoner, doom, and proto influences, Planes of Torment has been described as sounding like a collision of The Cult, Danzig, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience in full flight.
Critic Rich Piva highlighted the release as an “underdog Album of the Year candidate,” calling attention to its authenticity and heavyweight presence in today’s doom and heavy underground landscape.
This milestone placement on the Doom Charts positions SÖNUS as one of the most talked-about rising acts in the scene right now, with Planes of Torment continuing to gain momentum among fans, critics, and underground tastemakers alike.
More to come as the record continues its climb.
