FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GODLESS PREMIERE NEW VIDEO “ARCHITECT OF TORMENT” WITH DECIBEL MAGAZINE
Indian death metal force Godless have unleashed their brand new video for “Architect of Torment,” premiering through Decibel Magazine. The track marks a darker and more oppressive evolution in the band’s already devastating sound, pushing deeper into sinister territory while maintaining the precision and brutality fans have come to expect.
Decibel Magazine praised the single for its “tightly controlled aggression, jagged rhythmic turns, and suffocating atmosphere,” describing the song as “violent, focused, and mean enough to leave a mark.”
The accompanying video captures Godless performing “Architect of Torment” live for the very first time during their co-headlining appearance at the Wacken Open Air Pre-Party in Bangalore. Rather than relying on overproduced visuals or cinematic gimmicks, the band chose to present the track in its rawest form: live, loud, and completely unfiltered.
Speaking on the new release, Godless commented:
“‘Architect of Torment’ feels like a progression for us, leaning into a darker, more sinister atmosphere without losing the core of what Godless is. After over a decade of locking into a sound, it felt right to push things further and see where it goes.”
With more than a decade behind them, Godless continue proving why they remain one of India’s most relentless extreme metal exports. “Architect of Torment” showcases a band tightening the screws on their sound while continuing to evolve without compromise.

METAL DEVASTATION PR CLIENTS IATT AND EMPIRE OF NONE FEATURED IN LATEST ISSUE OF SWEDEN ROCK MAGAZINE ALONGSIDE IRON MAIDEN COVER STORY - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
METAL DEVASTATION PR CLIENTS IATT AND EMPIRE OF NONE FEATURED IN LATEST ISSUE OF SWEDEN ROCK MAGAZINE ALONGSIDE IRON MAIDEN COVER STORY
The latest issue of Sweden Rock Magazine has landed, and two recent Metal Devastation PR clients are making noise in its pages alongside a cover feature celebrating none other than Iron Maiden .
Both Empire Of None and IATT received detailed reviews highlighting the ambition, musicianship, and creative vision behind their latest releases.
Sweden Rock Magazine praised Empire Of None’s debut album Keepsake for fully realizing the band’s artistic goals, drawing comparisons to major modern acts such as Linkin Park , Bring Me The Horizon , and Dead By April . The review recognized the album’s polished production, emotionally driven songwriting, and strong connection to the modern metalcore and alternative metal scene.
Meanwhile, IATT’s Etheric Realms of the Night earned recognition for its fearless experimentation and genre-defying approach. Sweden Rock Magazine noted the Philadelphia band’s ability to blend progressive black metal with elements of jazz, folk, piano passages, saxophone, and atmospheric soundscapes, placing them in the company of boundary-pushing artists like Cynic , Ihsahn , and Devin Townsend .
The review also highlighted the album’s ambitious thematic focus on dreams and human consciousness, calling it a “fascinating musical journey” packed with creative ideas and adventurous songwriting.
Getting coverage in one of Europe’s most respected rock and metal publications is a major accomplishment for both bands, and sharing pages with an issue fronted by Iron Maiden makes the moment even more legendary. Old-school metalheads know Sweden Rock Magazine has been a cornerstone of the underground and mainstream heavy music scene for decades. Landing coverage there is no small feat.
Congratulations to Empire Of None and IATT on the international recognition. The underground keeps pushing forward, one riff at a time.

Ola Englund, Bernth, Charles Berthoud, and Mike Dawes Announce Escape The Internet II European Tour For 2027 - @thebeast
Four of the most technically insane musicians to ever melt the internet are packing it up and taking it back to the stage in 2027. Ola Englund , Bernth , Charles Berthoud , and Mike Dawes are joining forces again for the “Escape The Internet II” tour hitting Europe in February and March 2027.
And yeah, the name fits. These are four players who basically built careers out of doing the unthinkable online, then proved they could pull it off live without a safety net.
Following the success of their first European run, the crew is leveling up everything. Bigger lineup energy, new material, more collaborative moments, and the kind of live show that makes gear nerds stare at the stage like they just saw a UFO land on a bar gig.
Ola Englund summed it up pretty straight:
“After the incredible response to the first European tour, we’re coming back in 2027 with a bigger lineup, new music, more collabs and an even crazier live show.”
He added that fans can expect something built around both individual showcases and full group chaos, where every musician gets space to flex while also locking into moments you only get if you are in the room that night.
That is really the heart of this thing. Not just shredding for the sake of shredding, but four distinct styles crashing into each other in real time. Guitar, bass, acoustic, technique on top of technique, all of it colliding in a way that never quite repeats itself.
Here is the routing for “Escape The Internet II”:
2/5 Warsaw, PL Proxima
2/6 Prague, CZ Meet Factory
2/7 Nuremberg, DE Hirsch
2/9 Antwerp, BE Zappa
2/16 Paris, FR La Maroquinerie
2/18 Copenhagen, DK Pumpehuset
2/19 Stockholm, SE Debaser Strand
2/20 Gothenburg, SE Pustervik
2/21 Oslo, NO John Dee
2/23 Berlin, DE Columbia Theater
2/24 Frankfurt, DE Batschkapp
2/26 Cologne, DE Kantine
2/27 Hamburg, DE Gruenspan
2/28 Utrecht, NL Tivoli Vredenburg (Ronda)
3/2 Stuttgart, DE Im Wizemann Club
3/3 Esch-sur-Alzette, LU Rockhal
3/4 Solothurn, CH Kulturfabrik Kofmehl
3/5 Munich, DE Technikum
3/6 Vienna, AT Arena
Tickets & VIP upgrades are available now:
https://linktr.ee/escapetheinternet
Bottom line, this is not a nostalgia run and it is not background music for your phone scrolling habit. It is a full throttle display of modern musicianship from four players who helped define what internet-era virtuosity looks like, then decided to drag it into the real world and turn it up loud.
If you care about guitar, bass, or just watching people do things with their hands that should probably require a permit, this is one to circle on the calendar.

VOIDMAKER ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM “A COLD, UNYIELDING UNIVERSE” OUT MAY 25, 2026 VIA WITCHES BREW RECORDS - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VOIDMAKER ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM “A COLD, UNYIELDING UNIVERSE” OUT MAY 25, 2026 VIA WITCHES BREW RECORDS
Boston, MA / Washington, D.C. based sci-fi thrash death metal project VOIDMAKER is set to unleash their full-length debut, A Cold, Unyielding Universe , arriving May 25, 2026 via Witches Brew Records.
Built by veteran musicians Joe McAnaney (guitars, drums, bass) and Tom McRann (vocals), VOIDMAKER delivers a sharp-edged fusion of blackened thrash, death metal precision, and progressive scale. The result is a high-intensity concept record that doesn’t just hit hard, it tells a story while doing it.
A Cold, Unyielding Universe explores humanity’s future under siege from rogue AIs, unstable Jovian scientists, and ancient extraterrestrial entities lurking beyond known space. It’s a cold run through the cosmos where survival is never guaranteed and evolution comes at a cost. Think expansion, extinction, and everything in between.
This is not background music. This is a full-on transmission from a collapsing future.
Across ten tightly constructed tracks, VOIDMAKER build a cinematic arc of cosmic warfare and human fragility, wrapped in razor riffing, brutal vocal delivery, and atmosphere that feels like deep space with the oxygen cut off.
The album features striking cover art by Adam Burke of Nightjar Illustrations, with additional narrative layout design reinforcing the concept-driven experience. Mixing and mastering were handled by Rob Kukla at Obsidian Studios, with the instrumental piece “Starfall” contributed by Sarah McAnaney-Knight.

VOIDMAKER are not here to soften the edges. They are here to sharpen them. This is extreme metal engineered for listeners who still want their music to feel dangerous, intelligent, and built for something bigger than Earth.

Swiss-based thrash metal wrecking crew Algebra are set to release their crushing new live album Live at RKC on May 30th, 2026 via Metalworld Records on digisleeve CD and Oss Da Mord Records on cassette, alongside a worldwide digital release across all streaming platforms.
Captured at The Rocking Chair (RKC) in Vevey, Switzerland on January 20th, 2024, Live at RKC documents the final performance of the band’s acclaimed Chiroptera cycle. The album delivers a fierce and uncompromising set featuring the majority of the Chiroptera material alongside selections from the band’s back catalogue. Raw, aggressive, and completely unfiltered, the recording showcases the band in their natural habitat: loud stages, blinding lights, and total chaos.
Fans of Sepultura, Slayer, Death, Biohazard, Power Trip, Exodus, Pantera, and Forbidden will find plenty to sink their teeth into as Algebra continue to sharpen their blend of razor-wire thrash riffs, punishing grooves, and relentless energy.
The band states:
“‘Live at RKC’ captures the final show of our Chiroptera cycle. It’s a raw and unfiltered document of that night.
This release marks an important milestone for us, and we’re proud to present it in both audio and full video form on May 30th, 2026. Special thanks to Jon, our bassist, whose precision and dedication shaped the entire video production — his work is an integral part of this release.
Turn it up and experience it as it was meant to be heard: loud, intense, and alive.”
Production credits for Live at RKC include FOH and recording by Jan Saunier, mixing and mastering by Raphaël Bovey at MyRoom Studio, cover art design by Mike Cotton-Russell based on an original artwork by Adam Burke, videography by Jonas Lacôte, video editing by Jon Emery, lighting engineering by Sébastien Baudin, and photography by Alain Jordan and Julien Waroux.

Wayne Static Guitar Tech Voices Support for Matt Zane Documentary and Shares Personal Perspective on Wayne Static’s Legacy - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wayne Static Guitar Tech Voices Support for Matt Zane Documentary and Shares Personal Perspective on Wayne Static’s Legacy
Erik Fincher, who worked as a guitar and bass technician for Static-X from the 2001 Machine tour through the 2009 Cult of Static tour and maintained a longtime professional relationship with the late Wayne Static , has publicly expressed support for filmmaker Matt Zane ’s unauthorized documentary centered on Wayne Static and Tera Wray .
According to Fincher, his experiences working closely with Wayne over the years shaped his views regarding who should help preserve and present Wayne’s personal and creative legacy.
Fincher also disputed public characterizations suggesting a close friendship between Wayne Static and Edsel Dope , who currently performs as Xer0 in the modern incarnation of Static-X.
“From my personal experience working alongside Wayne for many years, I did not witness the kind of close friendship that has been publicly described,” Fincher stated.
Fincher further expressed his belief that individuals who worked directly with Wayne during his solo years and later career are in a stronger position to help document that chapter of his life and artistic vision.
During his time with Wayne Static, Fincher handled stage equipment, instruments, and in-ear monitor systems while accompanying the band throughout multiple touring cycles. He also pointed to Matt Zane’s documented involvement with Wayne’s post-Static-X creative projects, including Pighammer . Zane has previously stated that Wayne and Tera encouraged him to document aspects of their lives and careers beginning in the late 2000s.
“The fans deserve the opportunity to experience Wayne’s work and creative history,” Fincher said. “I believe preserving that legacy matters.”
Fincher additionally stated that he respects the rights of the surviving and former members of Static-X to continue performing the band’s music, while emphasizing the importance of distinguishing personal recollections and opinions from official historical narratives.
About Erik Fincher
Erik Fincher served as a guitar and bass technician and member of the touring support crew for Static-X for more than a decade. He worked closely with Wayne Static during multiple album and touring cycles and was present throughout significant periods of the band’s career.

SWEETLAND REIGNITE ATTENTION ON PARIAH EP — OUT NOW PSYCHEDELIC DOOM RELEASE RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SWEETLAND REIGNITE ATTENTION ON PARIAH EP — OUT NOW PSYCHEDELIC DOOM RELEASE RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT
Sweetland are circling back to the underground with renewed focus on their 2025 release Pariah EP , a dense slab of Psychedelic Doom Metal that continues to earn attention well beyond its initial drop.
Originally released November 4, 2025, Pariah EP is not a comeback or a reinvention. It’s a reminder. Heavy, slow, and deliberately unpolished, the record sits in that thick space between collapse and clarity, pulling influence from the crushing dynamics of Melvins , the hypnotic weight of Monolord , and the expansive, genre bending scope often associated with Devin Townsend .
Now, with fresh promotion and renewed push through the underground circuit, Sweetland are giving the EP a second life, aiming it at new listeners who may have missed it the first time around.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Zach Thomas, the production stays intentionally raw and immersive, letting the riffs breathe, drag, and collapse exactly how they were meant to.
Band Statement
“We never saw Pariah as something that had an expiration date. Doom doesn’t age out. It just waits. This is us pulling it back into the light for the people who weren’t there the first time.”

MEPHISTO ODYSSEY RELEASES 2026 REMASTER OF THE ICONIC “CRUCIFIED DUB” MIX OF STATIC-X’S “PUSH IT” — WAYNE STATIC’S FIRST CREATIVE COLLABORATION WITH MIKAEL JOHNSTON — IN CELEBRATION OF THE TRACK’S RIAA GOLD CERTIFICATION - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEPHISTO ODYSSEY RELEASES 2026 REMASTER OF THE ICONIC “CRUCIFIED DUB” MIX OF STATIC-X’S “PUSH IT” — WAYNE STATIC’S FIRST CREATIVE COLLABORATION WITH MIKAEL JOHNSTON — IN CELEBRATION OF THE TRACK’S RIAA GOLD CERTIFICATION
Dark, driving rework of the original 1999 maxi-single returns with renewed sonic force and brand-new visuals as Static-X’s industrial-dance anthem officially reaches Gold status
San Francisco Bay Area / Los Angeles, CA — May 19, 2026 — In celebration of Static-X’s groundbreaking 1999 single “Push It” from the platinum-certified album Wisconsin Death Trip receiving its first-ever RIAA Gold certification on April 21, 2026, Mephisto Odyssey founder Mikael Johnston has released a powerful 2026 remaster of the legendary “Crucified Dub” mix.
Originally featured on the official Push It maxi-single, the dark, hypnotic reinterpretation now returns with fully updated mastering from Johnston’s Pop Twist Studios, alongside a new visual presentation directed by Matt Zane.
This release carries significant artistic and historical weight. The original 1999 “Crucified Dub” marked the first collaboration between Mikael Johnston and late Static-X frontman Wayne Static. At the time, Wayne actively participated in the creative process and expressed strong enthusiasm for the final version. That initial connection sparked a long-running creative partnership that went on to include the co-written track “CRASH,” featured on the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker soundtrack with a Len Wiseman-directed music video starring both Wayne and Mikael, as well as Mephisto Odyssey’s official remix of Static-X’s “Cold,” among additional collaborations.
“This was the first thing Wayne Static and I ever worked on together,” says Johnston. “He gave input during its creation and really loved the final result. That moment set everything in motion for our later collaborations, including ‘CRASH,’ my remix of ‘Cold,’ and more.”
The 2026 remaster preserves the raw industrial energy and dance-floor pulse of the original while enhancing clarity, depth, and impact for modern systems and audiences. It arrives as part of Mephisto Odyssey’s ongoing 2026 catalog revival, reintroducing pioneering San Francisco industrial-electronic works to a new generation.

Stream / Info: Available now on YouTube with new visuals by Matt Zane. Additional catalog re-releases and new Mephisto Odyssey vault material will continue rolling out throughout 2026.
Mephisto Odyssey, led by Mikael Johnston, has been a defining force in West Coast electronic and industrial music since 1993. With official remixes for Static-X, Jane’s Addiction, and others, along with soundtrack placements including Hostel and releases on Warner Bros., the project’s deep connection to Wayne Static and the nu-metal/industrial era makes this remaster both a historical milestone and a heartfelt tribute.

Miami, Florida death/thrash metal trio INSCRIBED are set to unleash their highly anticipated debut full-length album, Upon the Twisted Throne , on June 19, 2026 via Awakening Records. The album marks a major step forward for the band, expanding their razor sharp, progressive death/thrash attack into even more ambitious and extreme territory.
Drawing influence from legendary acts such as Atheist, Hellwitch, Sadus, Cynic, and Nocturnus, INSCRIBED deliver a blistering fusion of technical precision, chaotic riffing, and progressive songwriting rooted firmly in the spirit of early 90s Florida death metal. Despite the members’ young ages, the band continues to push a sound that feels both classic in spirit and ferociously forward-looking in execution.
Formed in 2021 by bassist Evie Austin and drummer/vocalist Lucas Moore, INSCRIBED quickly carved out a name in the South Florida underground with their 2022 demo and 2024 debut EP In Silent Oblivion . After recruiting guitarist Mario Alvarez, the trio tightened into a relentless live force across Florida, sharpening the material that would become Upon the Twisted Throne .
The new album pushes their progressive death/thrash formula into deeper extremes, balancing intricate musicianship with raw aggression and strong, memorable songwriting. A bass-driven compositional approach gives the record a distinct identity, with Evie Austin’s lightning-fast runs and fingerstyle precision cutting through Mario Alvarez’s razor-edged guitar work and Lucas Moore’s punishing drumming and vocal delivery.
“ Upon the Twisted Throne acts as a bold step forward for Inscribed, continuing the progressive death-thrash style the band debuted with In Silent Oblivion into an even more intense direction,” says the band. “The album sees us expanding our range of influences while pushing technical ability and melodic dynamics further than before.”
The album’s lead single and video, “Machinery of War,” is out now. A longtime live staple, the track opens with a chaotic technical bassline before erupting into a high-velocity assault of progressive death and thrash metal precision. Written collaboratively by all three members, the song explores the disturbing fate of a mecha pilot trapped inside a dying war machine, drawing on themes of war, mortality, and human suffering.
Other standout tracks include “On the Stage of Death,” an ambitious multi-section piece inspired by Kentaro Miura’s Berserk , which examines religious extremism through shifting emotional and sonic landscapes, and “Still Time Passes,” a haunting, mid-paced composition exploring the psychological horror of perceived eternal isolation and the fragility of consciousness.
Upon the Twisted Throne features:
Evie Austin — Bass Guitar
Lucas Moore — Drums & Vocals
Mario Alvarez — Guitar
Additional lead guitar by Fernando Calero.
The album was engineered and mixed by Ferny Coipel at The Shack North, with guitar and bass tracking by John Sample at Sathanas Studios. Mastering was handled by Chris Barcia. Artwork was created by Stephanie D-Sorensen, with additional design contributions from Raphael Sanchez, Deborah Moore, Beatriz Freire, Gabriel Caggiano, and Arioch.
Upon the Twisted Throne will be released June 19, 2026 via Awakening Records.
For fans of Atheist, Hellwitch, Sadus, Cynic, Nocturnus.

MY DARK FATE, NOCTURNAL CEREMONY, HELLRAZOR, KUF, SUGAR VIRUS, EVERYPERSON, MACHINE CULT RITUAL & SELIAS FEATURED IN NEW ISSUE OF ROCK HARD MAGAZINE - @thebeast
METAL DEVASTATION PR CLIENTS DOMINATE NEW ISSUE OF ROCK HARD MAGAZINE
Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that several of our clients have been featured, interviewed, and reviewed in the latest issue of legendary European publication Rock Hard Magazine, with journalist Michele Martini shining a spotlight on a wide range of underground heavy music from groove metal and death metal to industrial darkness and horror punk madness.
This latest wave of coverage showcases the strength and diversity of the Metal Devastation PR roster, proving once again that underground metal is alive, evolving, and louder than ever.
MY DARK FATE FEATURED IN “SYMPHONY IN BLACK”
Austrian groove metal force My Dark Fate opened up about rebuilding after tragedy, lineup changes, and finding renewed artistic freedom following the loss of their studio and rehearsal space in a devastating fire.
“2024 was a tough year. Our studio and rehearsal space were lost in a fire, and some long-time members left for personal reasons,” said Andreas. “Christian and I restarted the project with Stefan and Marina, focusing on rebuilding My Dark Fate.”
Discussing their recent cover of the Rolling Stones classic Paint It, Black, Andreas explained:
“We wanted to reinterpret the song while keeping its essence intact, adding modern elements and our own dark, groovy touch.”
The band also discussed themes behind recent singles Frightened to the Core and Whiteout, tackling media-driven fear, isolation, and emotional numbness while pushing into new sonic territory without abandoning their groove-metal roots.
NOCTURNAL CEREMONY RETURN FROM THE SHADOWS
Norwegian death metal act Nocturnal Ceremony were featured in a deep interview surrounding their return album Obsidian after decades of silence.
Thomas Madsen reflected on the band’s resurrection:
“We started writing new music in 2022, rebuilding from scratch, logo, graphics, and songs, as if beginning anew.”
On the evolution of the songwriting process, Madsen revealed:
“Now we compose with a clear purpose, structuring tracks almost like complete pieces. We aim for music that leaves a lasting impression.”
Their lyrical themes now focus less on fantasy horror and more on real psychological darkness:
“Back then we wrote about imaginary demons and devils. Now we write about real ones, the darkness and shadows that dwell in everyone’s mind.”
HELLRAZOR DISCUSS THEATRICS, TRANSFORMATION, AND WINGS OF DELIVERANCE
Canadian heavy metal duo Hellrazor discussed the philosophical concepts and cinematic inspiration behind their latest album Wings of Deliverance.
Kasey Haze explained the band’s masked identity:
“The masks help us focus attention on the music and message rather than our faces.”
The album itself was inspired by disturbing real-world events:
“I was watching a documentary about Jim Jones and wrote the album inspired by that tragedy. It’s about manipulation and loss of identity.”
Darrin Evil added:
“We’ve always mixed theatrical elements with metal. Our live shows are immersive, and we draw inspiration from cinema and literature.”
KUF RETURN WITH CHAPTER I
American hard rock and doom-influenced band KUF discussed their rebirth and creative evolution surrounding the release of Chapter I.
Todd Leclaire reflected on the band’s return:
“At one point, external pressures made us lose control of the project. I moved to Virginia and rediscovered a sense of freedom.”
Discussing vocalist Twilly’s role in the band’s rebirth, Todd added:
“Her voice was perfect from the start. She brought emotional intensity and a theatrical dimension that fit our sound naturally.”
Twilly summarized the emotional mission of the band perfectly:
“The goal is to create a space where listeners can connect deeply, not just with melodies but with the feelings behind them.”
ROCK HARD REVIEWS AND SCORES
Sugar Virus – Kill the Messenger
Score: 7.5/10
Rock Hard praised Sugar Virus for delivering a powerful blend of horror punk, doom influence, and dark cinematic atmosphere.
“The result is effective, coherent, and exaggerated, a work rooted in a glorious tradition yet still modern and relevant.”
The review highlighted the band’s “thunderous, twilight-toned sonorities” and compared the spirit of the record to classic Misfits-inspired horror punk infused with heavier doom textures.
Everyperson – Fathoms
Score: 7.5/10
The mysterious solo project Everyperson earned praise for originality and emotional depth.
“Fathoms consists of eight varied tracks blending melodic modern metal tension with rougher, groove-driven elements and a distinct electronic edge.”
Rock Hard called the album “a solid, imaginative work that distinguishes itself from the crowd.”
Machine Cult Ritual – Occult Mechanics
Score: 7/10
Industrial doom project Machine Cult Ritual received recognition for crafting a uniquely oppressive and immersive debut album.
“The album’s layered structure feels original, defining a unique artistic vision.”
The magazine praised the record’s industrial textures, doom rhythms, death metal vocals, and avant-garde atmosphere that “draw the listener into a strange yet captivating sonic universe.”
Selias – Headshot
Score: 5/10
While the review for Selias was more critical, Rock Hard acknowledged the band’s ambition in blending death metal and groove influences, though the publication felt the songwriting needed stronger structure and direction moving forward.

Canada’s rising extreme metal force Eaten By Sharks are preparing to unleash their most ambitious and punishing material to date with the release of their new single “Capsized” on May 30, 2026. The track serves as the first glimpse into the band’s upcoming full-length album The Undertow Of Hate, arriving July 17, 2026 via CDN Records.
Blending progressive death metal, technical precision, crushing groove, and deathcore aggression, Eaten By Sharks continue evolving beyond the sound established on their 2022 release Eradication. With The Undertow Of Hate, the band embraces a more composition-focused and cinematic approach, building a dark conceptual journey rooted in nautical horror and psychological collapse.
“Capsized” marks the beginning of that descent.
The single captures the exact moment where calm waters give way to total chaos, setting the tone for an album built around transformation, destruction, and irreversible change at sea. Musically, the track showcases the band’s signature blend of polyrhythmic riffing, odd time signatures, relentless groove, and controlled aggression, all tied together with a strong sense of flow and atmosphere.
The band comments:
“Eaten By Sharks follow up their 2022 release, Eradication, with a more refined and fully realized record in The Undertow Of Hate. This album reflects a deeper understanding of who we are as artists. We took time to fully immerse ourselves in the writing process and build a cohesive concept rooted in a single cinematic moment of horror.
The record follows a journey that begins in calm, descends into chaos at sea, and ultimately returns to where it started, transformed into something darker and irreversible.
Throughout the album, subtle thematic details and visual elements tie directly into the overarching concept, creating a unified experience between the music and the artwork. Musically, we push further into the sound we’ve become known for, blending polyrhythms, odd time signatures, and crushing grooves while always prioritizing flow and momentum between ideas.
Working again with producer Christian Donaldson helped tighten the performances and bring out the best in the material. The Undertow Of Hate represents some of our most focused and punishing work to date. It is heavy, groovy, and constantly evolving without losing coherence.”
Produced by Eaten By Sharks and Christian Donaldson, and engineered, mixed, and mastered by Donaldson, The Undertow Of Hate delivers a calculated balance of technical brutality and memorable songwriting. Every track feeds into the album’s overarching narrative while pushing the band further into new territory without sacrificing heaviness.
For fans of Fit For An Autopsy, Gojira, and Cattle Decapitation, The Undertow Of Hate is shaping up to be one of 2026’s must-hear extreme metal releases.

Mephisto Odyssey on The Zach Moonshine Show: Industrial Chaos, Hollywood Horror, and the Art of Staying Real - @thebeast
Mephisto Odyssey on The Zach Moonshine Show: Industrial Chaos, Hollywood Horror, and the Art of Staying Real
The latest episode of The Zach Moonshine Show on Metal Devastation Radio went deep into the underground where electronics, metal, film, and pure chaos all collide. This wasn’t just an interview. It was a full-on time capsule from one of the most important crossover artists in underground music history: Mephisto Odyssey.
From early rave culture to Warner Bros releases and Hollywood horror soundtracks, the conversation with Mikael Johnston traced a career built on breaking rules, ignoring industry expectations, and chasing sound wherever it leads.
From Crash to Cult Status
The discussion opened around the evolution of “Crash,” a track that has lived multiple lives across decades. The artist reflected on revisiting the song years later, reshaping it alongside ideas originally discussed with the late Wayne Static.
The goal was never nostalgia. It was correction. A chance to realign the track with the original vision before label pressure and external forces shaped its first release.
That philosophy carried through the entire conversation: make what feels right, not what fits the machine.
Horror Films, Soundtracks, and a Wild Connection to Hostel
One of the most surprising revelations came from Mephisto Odyssey’s deep ties to film. The artist shared how their music ended up in Eli Roth’s cult horror film Hostel, specifically in the opening nightclub scene in Amsterdam.
The track placement wasn’t just background noise. It helped define the energy of the scene, blending underground club chaos with cinematic violence and tension.
The connection to horror didn’t stop there. The conversation drifted into current scoring work on a slasher film set to appear at the Frightmare convention in Dallas, reinforcing how deeply film and music have always been intertwined in this artist’s career.
Brad Gillis, Alameda Roots, and Rock History in Motion
A major highlight of the interview was the story behind legendary guitarist Brad Gillis joining the “Crash Reborn” project.
Both coming from Alameda, California, the connection between the two musicians goes back decades, long before the collaboration ever happened. A chance demo turned into a lightning-fast response from Gillis, who recorded guitar tracks almost immediately after hearing the material.
The result: a powerful fusion of industrial electronics and classic rock guitar energy delivered by a player who helped define the sound of Ozzy Osbourne’s early 80s era, namely with the iconic Speak of the Devil live recordings.
The story also revisited Gillis stepping into Ozzy Osbourne’s band after Randy Rhoads’ passing, a moment that reshaped rock history and cemented Gillis as one of the most respected guitarists of his generation.
The Philosophy: Make Art for Yourself First
A recurring theme throughout the conversation was creative independence.
The artist pointed to industry pressure across both film and music, comparing modern franchise filmmaking and formula-driven music production to earlier eras where innovation came first.
A reference to Rick Rubin’s philosophy summed it up clearly: if you’re making something for approval, you’ve already lost the point.
That mindset shaped both the original and reborn versions of “Crash,” as well as decades of Mephisto Odyssey’s work across electronic, industrial, and cinematic spaces.
From Raves to Record Deals
The interview also pulled back the curtain on the early rave scene of the 1990s, when underground events were built on word-of-mouth flyers, hidden locations, and warehouse chaos powered by generators and pure instinct.
That era led directly into early production experiments, MIDI setups, and DIY vinyl releases that eventually crossed the 10,000-copy mark independently, a number that immediately put industry attention on the project.
From there, the path led through City of Angels Records, alongside acts like The Crystal Method, and eventually into major label territory with Warner Bros.
Static-X, Ministry, and a Scene That Never Sat Still
The conversation expanded into the evolution of industrial and electronic rock, touching on Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, and Static-X.
Rather than strict genre lines, the era was defined by collision. Metal, electronics, punk energy, and club culture all bleeding into each other in real time.
Mephisto Odyssey existed right in that overlap, helping define a sound that didn’t fully belong to any one category.
Closing Moments: Still Moving Forward
Before signing off, Mikael Johnston confirmed new work is on the way, including remasters, unreleased material, and future rock-leaning projects that still retain the electronic edge fans expect.
He also acknowledged a long hiatus to focus on family life before returning to music with renewed energy and independence.
And of course, the show ended the only way it could on Metal Devastation Radio: loud, unfiltered, and absolutely unapologetic.

CYANIDE Releases New Single “Get Up and Dance” and Official Music Video Out Now - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CYANIDE Releases New Single “Get Up and Dance” and Official Music Video Out Now
Las Vegas, NV – Las Vegas hard rock band Cyanide has officially released their new single “Get Up and Dance,” now available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify. The track is also available on CD through Kivel Records alongside the newly released official music video, out now.
Built on a foundation of classic hard rock energy with a modern punch, “Get Up and Dance” captures Cyanide at full throttle. Driving rhythms, bold vocals, and a straight-ahead rock attitude define the track, delivering a sound made for loud speakers and bigger crowds.
At the center of the single is a lyric that sums up the band’s connection with their fans:
“The power we get from you, it’s electric, you know it’s true.”
That line reflects the push-and-pull energy Cyanide thrives on, where the audience is just as much a part of the sound as the band on stage.
Recorded with the intent to bring a live-wire feel into the studio, “Get Up and Dance” leans into raw performance energy rather than overproduction. It is built to move bodies, shake rooms, and remind listeners what real hard rock is supposed to feel like.
With the single and official music video now unleashed, Cyanide continues to carve their path in the modern rock world by keeping things simple, loud, and honest.

ANTIMOZDEBEAST AND SUM OF SEVEN FEATURED IN METAL INJECTION’S WEEKLY NEW RELEASE ROUNDUP - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANTIMOZDEBEAST AND SUM OF SEVEN FEATURED IN METAL INJECTION’S WEEKLY NEW RELEASE ROUNDUP
Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that two of its client releases have been featured in Metal Injection Weekly Injection of New Releases, placing them alongside major names in the global metal scene including Periphery , Jungle Rot , Crown Lands , Gozu , and Held .
This week’s feature highlights two distinct and powerful releases:
AntiMozdeBeast – “Unkempt Grave”
AntiMozdeBeast is the solo project of Gabriel Palacio, delivering a bold fusion of industrial and black metal that cuts deep both sonically and thematically.
Born in Queens, New York in 1985, Palacio’s creative vision was shaped by a life marked by adversity, including congenital heart disease requiring multiple open-heart surgeries, personal loss, and the pressures of an extremely religious upbringing. Rather than silence him, those experiences sharpened his artistic focus.
Founded in 2019, AntiMozdeBeast stands as a direct confrontation of religious, political, and societal corruption, while also pushing listeners toward introspection, awareness, and personal awakening. “Unkempt Grave” continues that mission with uncompromising intensity and purpose.

/>
Sum of Seven – Echoes of the Hypermind
Sum of Seven return with their most ambitious release to date, the concept album Echoes of the Hypermind , out May 15, 2026 via Inverse Records.
Blending intricate musicianship with emotional weight, the album expands their signature sound into new territory, combining soaring melodies, razor sharp riffs, and layered storytelling. Fans of Haken, Threshold, and Vola will find plenty to connect with, while the band continues carving its own distinct identity.
Originally formed in Turku under the name Sonus Corona, Sum of Seven began as a passion project between friends before evolving into a serious creative force. Their 2019 release Time Is Not On Your Side earned recognition from Prog Magazine and strong reviews from Finland’s Inferno.
Their momentum was later challenged by the pandemic, lineup changes, and a serious accident involving guitarist and primary composer Ari Lempinen during the final stages of the new album’s creation in 2024.
Most bands would have folded under that pressure.
Sum of Seven didn’t.
With vocalist Marko Loukamaa now leading the charge, the band returned stronger than ever, culminating in a packed hometown comeback show in Turku in September 2025. That same resilience and forward drive pulses through every moment of Echoes of the Hypermind .

Metal Devastation PR extends a massive thank you to Metal Injection for continuing to support underground and independent heavy music, and for helping amplify these releases to a global audience.

Matt Zane Featured Across Major Outlets Following Explosive Interview on Wayne Static Documentary Dispute - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Matt Zane Featured Across Major Outlets Following Explosive Interview on Wayne Static Documentary Dispute
Los Angeles, CA – Filmmaker and Society 1 frontman Matt Zane is once again at the center of widespread media attention following a series of new features and commentary from The PRP , Blunt Magazine , and the Moshpit Network regarding his recent appearance on We Were Loud Once Pod .
In the interview, Zane addressed ongoing controversy surrounding his unauthorized documentary project focused on the final years of Wayne Static and his relationship with Tera Wray. The project has been met with legal resistance from parties connected to the Static-X camp and associated estates.
Zane stated that he was initially brought into the production process of the official Evil Disco documentary and claims there was an understanding that he would later be permitted to pursue a separate project centered on Wayne Static’s personal story during his final years. According to Zane, that understanding later changed as production circumstances and external funding evolved.
He further claims that as the band’s reunion activity expanded, creative direction shifted, leading to disagreements over narrative control, representation of Wayne Static’s legacy, and the direction of the band’s visual identity and live presentation.
Zane also alleges that compensation arrangements changed during the course of production, including claims regarding revoked equipment and legal pressure connected to his independent documentary efforts and crowdfunding attempts.
Despite ongoing legal disputes, Zane maintains that his project remains in development and that he intends to continue pursuing its completion through independent funding channels.
At the heart of the controversy is a larger debate over legacy ownership, creative control, and who has the right to tell the final chapters of a public figure’s life.
The discussion continues to gain traction across the metal media landscape, with no resolution currently in sight.

EAST OV EDEN UNLEASH DEBUT FULL LENGTH “BOUNDLESS” OUT NOW - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EAST OV EDEN UNLEASH DEBUT FULL LENGTH “BOUNDLESS” OUT NOW
A crushing yet cinematic fusion of deathcore, death metal, and orchestral intensity
Memphis, Tennessee heavyweights East Ov Eden have officially released their debut album BOUNDLESS , available now across all major streaming platforms. The record marks a bold and unrestrained first full length statement from a band rapidly carving out its own lane in the modern extreme metal landscape.
Blending deathcore brutality with death metal precision, cinematic orchestration, soaring choruses, and unpredictable technical shifts, BOUNDLESS lives up to its name in every sense. The album moves between blistering speed, groove-heavy punishment, and atmospheric melody, all while refusing to sit still long enough to be boxed in.
For fans of All Shall Perish , Signs of the Swarm , and Cattle Decapitation , East Ov Eden delivers a familiar level of intensity while pushing into more cinematic and experimental territory.
A DEBUT BUILT FROM CHAOS, REFINEMENT, AND EVOLUTION
Originally forming in late 2022 with roots in brutal technical death metal, East Ov Eden underwent rapid lineup shifts and a creative redirection that ultimately shaped their current identity. Rather than force a narrow approach, the band leaned into what felt most natural, resulting in a debut that is both aggressive and expansive.
Their 2023 single “MEPHISTOPHELES” laid the groundwork for what would become the sonic blueprint of BOUNDLESS , recorded, mixed, and mastered by Seger Rauls at Phoenix Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, with additional engineering by Hans Hasenwinkel.
A WIDE RANGE OF SOUND AND INFLUENCE
From orchestral swells and atmospheric synth layers to relentless riffing and breakdown-driven chaos, BOUNDLESS showcases the band’s full range. Tracks such as “…TO A MOONLIT GARDEN” and “PERPETUAL HORROR” highlight the album’s diversity, while deeper cuts like “SOULWEAVER” and “IT ENDS IN FEAR” lean heavily into the band’s deathcore and metalcore roots.
The result is a debut that doesn’t just introduce East Ov Eden, it announces them.
LIVE MOMENTUM AND SCENE PRESENCE
Throughout 2024 and 2025, East Ov Eden built serious momentum in the underground and regional metal circuit, sharing stages with Larcenia Roe, Filth, Vended, Frayle, Inferi, Hunt the Dinosaur, Æther Realm, Ov Ruin, In Gloom , and more. The band also appeared at major events including ShuttleMania and the 2025 Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Festival.
QUOTE FROM THE BAND
“ BOUNDLESS is exactly what it sounds like. We didn’t want limits on pace, style, or emotion. It’s heavy, it’s cinematic, it’s chaotic, and it’s honest. Every track hits a different nerve, but it all comes from the same place.”

Philojain’s “Duke at the Prom” – Peppy Djent Album Out Now - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Philojain’s “Duke at the Prom” – Peppy Djent Album Out Now
Release Date: August 10, 2025
India’s instrumental metal visionary Amit Jain, known as philojain , has officially dropped his latest full-length album, “Duke at the Prom” , now available worldwide.
https://ditto.fm/duke-at-the-prom
This record pushes forward his self-defined style, Peppy Djent , a high-energy fusion of djent, post-prog metal, and melodic experimentation. It’s tight, technical, and built with a groove-first mindset that still leaves room for unexpected turns and melodic lift-offs.
From crushing riff cycles to neon-bright lead work and sub-heavy low end, the album is designed for motion. Whether it’s gym sessions, long drives, gaming marathons, or just cranking speakers until the walls complain, this release hits with purpose.
Amit Jain on the release:
“Peppy Djent is a fresh attempt by me. I wanted an album that’s energetic, unpredictable, and melodic. Something that works for any moment where you want the music to hit hard and keep you locked in.”
About philojain
Based in Panchkula, India, Amit Jain has spent years building a deep catalog across rock, metal, and experimental music. With 18 albums released , his work is known for technical guitar precision, shifting rhythmic structures, and deep low-frequency design that gives his sound its weight and identity.
Everything on “Duke at the Prom” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Amit Jain himself, keeping the vision fully independent and uncompromised. The result is a record that feels controlled yet chaotic in all the right ways.
Playlist Feature
The album is also featured on a major Spotify playlist, helping push the release into wider rotation across the modern metal and djent community.

BITTER SIGN WITH CDN RECORDS AND RELEASE NEW SINGLE “MALEVOLENT” WITH OFFICIAL VIDEO - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BITTER SIGN WITH CDN RECORDS AND RELEASE NEW SINGLE “MALEVOLENT” WITH OFFICIAL VIDEO
Montreal, Quebec – May 12, 2026 – Quebec slamming beatdown deathcore outfit Bitter are kicking the door wide open with the announcement of their official signing to CDN Records, paired with the release of their brand new single “Malevolent” and its official music video.
No buildup, no warning, just impact.
“Malevolent” shows exactly where Bitter is headed. Heavy, ugly in all the right ways, and built on that sharp, chaotic energy the band has been carving out since forming in late 2024. This release also sets the tone for their upcoming EP Slamosaurus Rex, due later this year.

ABOUT THE BAND
Bitter is a slamming beatdown deathcore band formed in December 2024, bringing together members from Montreal, Lanaudière, and Gatineau, Quebec. The project was founded by father and son Yan Chatel and Kilian Langlois-Chatel, later expanding into a full lineup built on chemistry, trust, and shared aggression.
Current lineup:
Kilian Langlois-Chatel – Lead Vocals
Michael Lalancette – Guitar and electronics
Mathieu Parent – Guitar
Eric Cooper-Lefebvre – Drums
Yan Chatel – Bass and backing vocals
Their sound pulls influence from Xenotheory, Kanine, and The Acacia Strain, but filters it through a darker, more sarcastic edge. Bitter leans into violent imagery and exaggerated metaphor, delivered with intent and control rather than chaos for chaos’ sake.
PRODUCTION
“Malevolent” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Michael Lalancette, giving the track its tight, crushing punch while keeping every layer of brutality clear in the mix.
THE ROAD AHEAD
With Slamosaurus Rex on the way and CDN Records now in their corner, Bitter are lining up for a heavy push through 2026. More releases, more noise, and no signs of slowing down.
This is just the beginning.

NOMADIC NARWHAL CHART DEEPER WATERS WITH NEW SINGLE “CALL OF THE CURRENT” OUT NOW - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NOMADIC NARWHAL CHART DEEPER WATERS WITH NEW SINGLE “CALL OF THE CURRENT” OUT NOW
Cinematic Metal visionaries Nomadic Narwhal return with their most personal and stripped-down release to date, “Call of the Current,” out now via Seaborne Records. Blending Progressive Metal, Symphonic Metal, and Cinematic Rock textures, the new single marks a shift from oceanic mythology into raw emotional current.
Built for fans of Deftones, Max Cavalera, and Devin Townsend, Nomadic Narwhal continues to carve out its own lane in heavy music, a space where atmosphere, weight, and storytelling collide.
Following early breakout singles “Arrival” and “Monolith” in 2022, and the critically praised four-part release Fathoms, the project quickly gained attention from outlets like Loudwire and Decibel, earning recognition for shaping what many began calling Cinematic Metal. But “Call of the Current” pulls things inward.
Nomadic Narwhal founder Jesse Beisner explains the shift in tone plainly.
“I wrote how I wanted to feel. Sometimes you just need to write to get through some things.”
Unlike earlier releases built around vast oceanic themes and conceptual scale, “Call of the Current” leans into something more immediate and human. It is self-produced, emotionally direct, and intentionally unpolished in spirit. Even the name came from fans, and the artwork was hand painted, reinforcing the DIY ethos behind the project.
Beisner adds, “The one with the feelings.”
This is Nomadic Narwhal at its most exposed, trading mythic scale for something closer to the surface, where emotion hits harder and lingers longer.
