LESS THAN PERFECT Unleash Powerful New Singles "Casting Stones" and "Never Surrender" as They Begin Their Next Evolution - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LESS THAN PERFECT Unleash Powerful New Singles "Casting Stones" and "Never Surrender" as They Begin Their Next Evolution

Colorado Alternative Metal Band Continues Momentum Following TENET While Preparing for Their Next Full-Length Album in 2027

Colorado-based alternative metal band Less Than Perfect (LTP) is stepping into a powerful new era with the release of their latest singles "Casting Stones" and "Never Surrender." These emotionally charged tracks serve as the first glimpse into the band's next chapter as they continue building momentum following their acclaimed album TENET .

Following their signing with DI Records , Less Than Perfect is expanding their reach while writing and recording their third full-length album, scheduled for release in early 2027.

More music. More stories. More stages. It’s never too late... our journey has just begun.

Built around the dynamic father-daughter partnership of guitarist Andrew Matson and vocalist Kyra Matson , the explosive rhythms of drummer Chris Van Meter , and the rock-solid foundation of bassist Denny Underwood , Less Than Perfect blends crushing alternative metal riffs, soaring melodies, and deeply personal lyrics into a sound that delivers both intensity and inspiration.

The band’s music is centered around a message of hope, resilience, and redemption. Rather than dwelling on the struggles of the past, Less Than Perfect focuses on what comes next: finding strength through adversity, choosing hope over fear, and proving that every person has the power to rewrite their story.

Since forming in 2022, Less Than Perfect has shared the stage with national acts including TRAPT, Smile Empty Soul, HED PE, Faster Pussycat, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, and Crashing Wayward , earning a reputation for energetic live performances and authentic connections with audiences.

Their latest album TENET introduced fans to standout tracks including "Man in the Mask," "Own Worst Enemy," "Habitual," and "Take It All," showcasing the band's ability to combine heavy instrumentation with honest, relatable storytelling.

Now, with "Casting Stones" and "Never Surrender," Less Than Perfect delivers two anthems written for anyone who has ever been judged, underestimated, knocked down, or told they were not enough.

According to the band:

"Casting Stones and Never Surrender represent everything Less Than Perfect stands for. They're for anyone who's ever been judged, knocked down, or told they weren't enough. Our message is simple: your past doesn't define you, your scars don't determine your future, and giving up is never the answer. We hope our songs remind people to lift each other up, keep fighting, and never stop believing that their best chapter is still ahead. If our music reminds even one person that their story isn't over and gives them the strength to keep moving forward, then we've succeeded."

With new music on the horizon and their sights set on bigger stages, Less Than Perfect continues to prove that setbacks can become the foundation for something stronger.

The next chapter has begun.

MORTALIS Unleash Reimagined Thrash Metal Attack With New Single “Split (2026)” August 28 - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MORTALIS Unleash Reimagined Thrash Metal Attack With New Single “Split (2026)” August 28

California Thrash Metal Outfit Enters a Ferocious New Era With New Frontwoman PatienceLa Puente,

California, August, 2026 — California thrash metal outfit Mortalis are stepping into a new chapter with the release of “Split (2026)” , arriving August 28, 2026 at midnight. A newly recorded and reimagined version of one of the band's original songs, the track marks a significant turning point for Mortalis as the first release featuring their new frontwoman, Patience .

Forged in the backyard metal scene of La Puente, California in 2014 , Mortalis have built their identity around the raw power and precision of classic thrash and heavy metal while refusing to remain trapped in the past. With razor-sharp riffs, harmonized guitars, fierce vocals, technical musicianship, and an explosive live presence, the band carries the spirit of the genre's legendary pioneers into a new generation.

Now, with Patience stepping behind the microphone, Mortalis are ready to push that sound even further.

“ Split (2026) ” is more than a re-recording. It is a statement of transformation.

The song was originally featured on Mortalis' Earthworks EP and was handpicked by Patience as her favorite track from the band's earlier material. The new version captures the song with a renewed sense of aggression, power, and intensity, showcasing the band's evolving identity while retaining the foundation that made the original track stand out.

“Split (2026) by Mortalis is the seething battle cry of an internal war,” the band explains. “An anthem for those who once fiercely and loudly opposed the injustices of the world no matter the consequences, but now wither as they fall into line, a cowardly carcass of the renegade they once were.”

At its core, “Split (2026)” explores the conflict between rebellion and conformity, confronting the uncomfortable reality of watching people who once stood firmly against injustice slowly surrender the convictions they once fought for. It is aggressive, confrontational, and unapologetically metal.

For listeners drawn to the technical precision and controlled chaos of Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Metal Church , “Split (2026)” delivers a familiar foundation with a distinctly modern attack.

The release also represents an important milestone in Mortalis' history.

As the first song recorded and released with Patience, “Split (2026)” officially ushers in the band's next era while also marking a transition following the departure of two longtime members. Rather than looking backward, Mortalis are using the moment to sharpen their identity and move forward with renewed purpose.

The band's evolution has also opened the door to contemporary influences including Drain, Gojira, and Power Trip , creating a sound that respects metal's roots while embracing the intensity of the modern underground.

“ We are incredibly excited to share this brand new re-recording showcasing a new ferocity, aggression, and power thanks to Riff Audio! ”

The track was mixed and mastered by Raul Cueller of Riff Audio , bringing additional weight and clarity to Mortalis' newly revitalized sound.

Since their formation in 2014, Mortalis have remained committed to one simple mission: keep metal alive .

That philosophy extends beyond the studio. Their live performances combine technical precision with raw energy, creating the kind of shows where harmonized guitars, crushing riffs, commanding vocals, and relentless momentum collide. Mortalis aren't interested in simply playing a set. They want audiences leaving with sore necks, ringing ears, and the feeling that they witnessed something unforgettable.

With “Split (2026),” that mission enters a new phase.

The past may have forged Mortalis, but the future is where they're headed.

“Split (2026)” arrives August 28, 2026 at midnight.

HELLRIPPER Announces Autumn U.S. Tour in Support of HAVOK - @thebeast

Scottish Blackened Speed Metal Maniacs To Lay Waste To North America From October 21 Through November 20, 2026

Scottish blackened speed metal force HELLRIPPER will return to North America this fall for an extensive U.S. tour in support of HAVOK .

The "Goat Kvlt" will embark on the 22-date trek beginning October 21 at Metro Music Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will tear across the country before bringing the run to a close November 20 at the Gothic Theatre in Denver, Colorado.

The tour comes in support of HELLRIPPER's critically acclaimed latest album, Coronach , which was released worldwide on March 27, 2026, through Century Media Records . The album marks HELLRIPPER's debut release for the label.

Known for its ferocious collision of black metal, speed metal, thrash and rock 'n' roll, HELLRIPPER has built a reputation for delivering unrelenting old-school metal with a distinctly modern bite. Coronach continues that tradition while expanding the project's sonic and atmospheric palette.

The critical response has been equally savage.

No Clean Singing praised HELLRIPPER's distinctive blend of black metal, speed, thrash, punk and rock 'n' roll, while Angry Metal Guy described Coronach as an album that builds upon the project's earlier work while injecting it with "a lethal dose of vitality."

Heavy Metal Philosophy noted that the record manages to remain true to the spirit of heavy metal while still sounding "fresh and hungry," while KNAC highlighted the album's atmospheric and thematic elements as giving it an identity beyond simply being another high-speed metal record.

Other outlets have also delivered high marks, with Kerrang! awarding Coronach a 4/5 rating and calling it "45 minutes of scything magnificence both ancient and timeless." Distorted Sound went even further with a 10/10 review, while Metal Hammer gave the album an 8/10 and proclaimed HELLRIPPER "the new Celtic king of thrash."

The upcoming U.S. run will give American metalheads their chance to experience the chaos of Coronach in the live setting, with HELLRIPPER joining HAVOK for what promises to be a particularly violent stretch of the autumn touring calendar.

Tårfödd Announces New Album En känsla av hopplöshet, Arriving September 28, 2026 - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tårfödd Announces New Album En känsla av hopplöshet, Arriving September 28, 2026

Swedish One-Man Black/Progressive Metal Project Delivers a More Modern and Progressive Sound on a Deeply Personal New Album

Northern Sweden’s one-man black/progressive metal project Tårfödd is set to release its new full-length album, En känsla av hopplöshet , on September 28, 2026 through Purity Through Fire .

Created by Swedish multi-instrumentalist Simon Lindgren , Tårfödd is a solitary musical endeavor in which Lindgren handles songwriting, lyrics, guitars, bass, synths, and drums/drum programming. The project channels the bleak atmosphere of black metal while reaching into more progressive and modern territory, creating a sound that is both dark and expansive.

With En känsla av hopplöshet , Tårfödd takes a somewhat different musical direction than on previous material. The album embraces a more modern and progressive metal approach while retaining elements of black metal, resulting in a release that expands the project's sonic palette without abandoning its darker roots.

Written and recorded in late 2025, the album is driven by a deeply personal theme: the loss of someone close to Lindgren . That sense of grief, absence, and hopelessness forms the emotional foundation of En känsla av hopplöshet , giving the music a weight that goes beyond its instrumentation.

“It differs a bit from what I normally sound like. It’s more modern and more progressive metal with some black metal infused. It was written and recorded late 2025, but not released until now, and the theme of this album is the loss of someone close to me.”

The album was mastered by Simon Lundin , while the cover artwork was created by Vindur of Mörkvind , known for the artwork Drömskogen .

En känsla av hopplöshet offers a compelling meeting point between black metal’s emotional intensity and progressive metal’s broader sonic landscape, reflecting Tårfödd’s exploration of a more modern and progressive sound.

The Sweden Rock Magazine feature finds Englund discussing his approach to guitar, tone, creativity, influences, and the continuing evolution of metal guitar. Among the topics discussed is his longtime love of Flying V guitars , as well as the balance between technical ability and musical expression when creating guitar parts and solos.

NoCleanSinging Premieres Necrocene’s Crushing New Track “Scumocracy” - @thebeast

NECROCENE Unleash Crushing Title Track “Scumocracy” Ahead of Debut Album

Italian death metal outfit Necrocene have unleashed the title track from their highly anticipated debut album, Scumocracy , premiering the song exclusively through NoCleanSinging .com . The album is set for international release on September 18, 2026 , via Personal Records .

“Scumocracy” is the second track to emerge from the album, following the previously released “Ordinary Enemy,” and serves as a fitting introduction to Necrocene's bleak, uncompromising vision of death metal.

There is a crushing weight bearing down on the world, an unrestrained cycle of destruction that increasingly breeds indifference. Necrocene take that bleak reality and transform it into something brutally physical. Their very name and the concept behind Scumocracy twist geological terminology into a grim political statement about the unstoppable, death-driven momentum of modern capitalism.

Musically, that philosophy translates into death metal stripped of unnecessary ornamentation. Necrocene reject the polished, hyper-technical approach that has become common within modern extreme metal, instead embracing a deliberately primitive, abrasive sound firmly rooted in the genre's foundational years.

Following their well-received 2024 Detrimental Paratomy EP , Scumocracy digs deep into the late-'80s and early-'90s Florida death metal tradition, evoking the raw atmosphere and crushing character associated with the legendary Morrisound Studios era. Sharp, vicious riffs collide with uncalculated drumming and harsh, primitive vocals, creating a sound that recalls the early work of Obituary, Death, and Cancer without simply attempting to recreate the past.

The members of Necrocene bring years of experience from Italy's underground punk and metal scenes, and those counter-cultural roots are all over the album. Rather than chasing trends, the band focuses on heaviness, atmosphere, and attitude.

Scumocracy moves between sudden tempo changes and agonizingly heavy, cadenced downtempo passages, giving the album a sense of constant forward momentum while maintaining its deliberately filthy old-school character. Its lyrical and conceptual themes explore social decay, technological obsolescence, and a civilization seemingly racing toward its own self-inflicted end.

In other words, this is death metal with something rotten at its core, and Necrocene aren't interested in putting a fresh coat of paint over it.

Listen to “Scumocracy”

The brand-new title track “Scumocracy” is streaming exclusively through NoCleanSinging.com , while the previously revealed “Ordinary Enemy” is available through Personal Records' Bandcamp.

Scumocracy arrives internationally on September 18, 2026 , via Personal Records.

THY SANATORIUM, FALSE MESSIAH, FIRST WORLD APPETITE, DAY40 AND BRIAN MOODY FEATURED IN METALIZED MAGAZINE’S LEX LEGION ISSUE - @thebeast

METAL DEVASTATION PR CLIENTS TAKE OVER METALIZED MAGAZINE’S LEX LEGION ISSUE

THY SANATORIUM, FALSE MESSIAH, FIRST WORLD APPETITE, DAY40 AND BRIAN MOODY FEATURED IN DENMARK’S LONGEST-RUNNING METAL MAGAZINE

Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that multiple MDPR clients have been featured in the latest Lex Legion issue of Metalized Magazine , Denmark’s longest-running and biggest metal magazine, which has been covering the world of heavy music since 1987 .

The issue delivers a strong showing for the Metal Devastation PR roster, with Thy Sanatorium, False Messiah, First World Appetite, Day40 and Brian Moody all receiving coverage, while Machine Cult Ritual was also showcased through a dedicated advertisement.

From crushing extreme metal and melodic death metal to industrial, groove, thrash and atmospheric sounds, the issue demonstrates the international reach and diversity of the artists working with Metal Devastation PR.

THY SANATORIUM – THY SANATORIUM

9/10

Thy Sanatorium receives one of the highest scores in the feature lineup, earning an impressive 9/10 for their self-released debut album.

Reviewer Mike Gehrcke praises the band's ability to balance heaviness with atmosphere, highlighting the album's dark yet inviting character, dynamic song structures, melodic passages, tempo changes and strong sense of identity.

Gehrcke describes Thy Sanatorium as a debut that demonstrates enormous potential and an album that rewards repeated listening.

“All in all, Thy Sanatorium is a debut that impresses and shows enormous potential.”

FALSE MESSIAH – SEVEN

8/10 | Cemetery Records

False Messiah earns an 8/10 for Seven , with reviewer Kim Vestergaard Nielsen praising the album's aggressive riffs, powerful production and dark atmosphere.

The review highlights the band's combination of melodic black metal and brutal death metal , resulting in a dynamic and captivating record that showcases the musicians' technical abilities while maintaining plenty of aggression.

FIRST WORLD APPETITE – ANGEL SHADES DEMISE

8/10 | Self-released

First World Appetite also receives an 8/10 , with reviewer Stephen Rocky highlighting the project's dark and atmospheric approach.

The review describes Angel Shades Demise as a deeply personal debut built around frustration and inner turmoil, combining heavy riffs with electronic elements to create a dystopian, cinematic atmosphere.

The record's ability to move between harshness and beauty is singled out as one of its strengths, resulting in a debut that leaves a lasting impression.

DAY40 – PHENOMENON

8/10 | Self-released

British-based, Bulgarian-founded melodic death metal outfit Day40 earns an 8/10 for Phenomenon .

Reviewer Nolder highlights guitarist Nikolay Atanasov's technical precision and the band's combination of melodic death metal with modern and atmospheric elements.

The album also features guest appearances from Andy LaRocque , guitarist for King Diamond, and Dencho Dimitor of Eufobia.

The review praises the album's energetic mix of fast riffs, melodic passages and variety, calling Phenomenon a well-produced and ambitious release worthy of attention from melodic death metal fans.

BRIAN MOODY – BRIAN'S BRAIN

8/10 | Metal Devastation

Brian Moody earns an 8/10 for the reissue of his debut album Brian's Brain , with reviewer Christoffer Kofoed examining both the music and Moody's distinctive one-man approach.

The reissue features real drums rather than drum sampling, along with mixing and mastering by Theodor Borovski , while retaining the character of the original recording.

Kofoed points to the album's strong '90s thrash influence , metallic one-man-band approach, grunge references, double-kick drumming and harmonized guitar work. While noting that the record can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the sheer number of ideas packed into it, the review recognizes the strongest tracks and Moody's intense combination of heavy riffs and depressive vocals.

The final verdict: 8/10 , with Kofoed describing the release as tight and solid.

FROM BASEMENT TO INTERNATIONAL PR CAMPAIGN

In addition to the album review, Brian Moody receives an in-depth feature from Christoffer Kofoed titled From Basement to International PR Campaign .

The article explores Moody's evolution from a completely independent one-man musician handling recording, production and promotion himself into an artist actively pursuing an international audience.

The feature examines the story behind the re-release of Brian's Brain , including the new mix and master by Theodor Borovski, Moody's creative process, his musical influences and the themes of chaos, personal struggle and emotional intensity that run through his work.

The article also looks at Moody's growing understanding of the business side of being an independent artist, including branding, networking and the role of professional promotion in helping his music reach listeners outside his home territory.

At its core, the feature presents Brian's Brain as more than simply a reissue. It represents another step in Moody's development as an artist and his efforts to build an international career without losing the independent spirit that shaped the project from the beginning.

Moody's philosophy is summed up by his desire to create an emotional reaction in the listener, with the ultimate goal being to make people feel something when they hear his music.

CHAOS, RIFFS, AND LOSS OF CONTROL

First World Appetite also receives an extensive feature from Kasper Kudsk , titled Chaos, Riffs, and Loss of Control .

The article dives into the project's industrial and groove metal foundations and the creative vision of Dutch musician Ronald de Groot .

De Groot discusses the project's origins, including his inspiration from guitarist Tim Skold , as well as the evolution of his songwriting and production approach.

The feature explores the contrast between chaos and control within the recording process, along with the expanded use of acoustic passages, melody and atmosphere.

Kudsk also examines the themes behind First World Appetite, including human greed, destruction, overconsumption and the consequences of humanity's desire for more.

Influences including Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails, Black Sabbath and Tom Waits are discussed, giving readers additional insight into the musical landscape surrounding the project.

The article ultimately presents Angel Shades Demise as both a deeply personal musical statement and the closing of an important chapter for de Groot, while exploring the darker themes that inspired the project in the first place.

MACHINE CULT RITUAL FEATURED IN METALIZED

Adding even more Metal Devastation PR representation to the issue, Machine Cult Ritual was showcased through a dedicated advertisement.

The inclusion gives another MDPR artist visibility within the pages of one of Europe's longest-running metal publications, putting the project directly in front of Metalized's established readership.

ANOTHER BIG INTERNATIONAL WIN FOR METAL DEVASTATION PR ARTISTS

With five MDPR clients receiving editorial coverage, multiple strong review scores, two in-depth features and an additional advertising showcase , the Lex Legion issue of Metalized Magazine represents another significant piece of international exposure for the Metal Devastation PR roster.

Coverage like this is exactly why getting independent metal artists in front of legitimate music media still matters. Social media comes and goes, algorithms change, and everybody's fighting for attention in the same damn feed. A respected metal publication with decades of history gives artists something different: editorial credibility, lasting coverage and another piece of press that can be used to build their international story.

AEGROR Release Atmospheric Cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Road to Nowhere” on All Major Streaming Platforms - @thebeast

AEGROR Release Atmospheric Cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Road to Nowhere” on All Major Streaming Platforms

German extreme metal band AEGROR have unveiled their haunting interpretation of Ozzy Osbourne’s classic track “Road to Nowhere,” with the new version now available worldwide across all major digital streaming platforms.

Originally recorded exclusively for ANTICHRIST Magazine’s international compilation A Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne , AEGROR’s rendition first surfaced on Bandcamp and YouTube alongside contributions from artists around the world paying tribute to one of heavy metal’s most influential and enduring figures. Following the track’s initial release, the band have now made their interpretation available as a standalone digital single.

Rather than attempting a note-for-note recreation, AEGROR have approached “Road to Nowhere” through the dark and atmospheric lens of their own musical identity. Crushing riffs, shadowy textures, and an intense emotional weight reshape the familiar composition while preserving the heart of the original.

The result is a version that clearly honors Ozzy’s legacy while sounding unmistakably like AEGROR.

Adding further weight to the production, the single was mastered by Nikita Kamprad of Der Weg Einer Freiheit , whose work brings additional depth, clarity, and power to the finished track.

Speaking about the release, AEGROR explain:

“Ozzy Osbourne has inspired generations of musicians, ourselves included. Being invited to contribute to this tribute was both an honour and a responsibility. We wanted to preserve the emotional core of ‘Road to Nowhere’ while translating it into our own musical language. This release is our way of expressing gratitude to one of metal’s most influential voices.”

The release arrives following AEGROR’s worldwide signing with EMG , marking another significant step in the band’s continuing evolution.

While “Road to Nowhere” is first and foremost a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, AEGROR have also incorporated the song into the mythology surrounding their own Plaguebreeder Universe . In the band’s hands, the familiar story becomes another dark fragment within that expanding world, a recognizable shadow recast through AEGROR’s own narrative and musical vision.

For fans of atmospheric and extreme metal, the new single offers a fresh way to experience a classic Ozzy composition while highlighting the increasingly distinctive identity AEGROR have built for themselves.

“Road to Nowhere” by AEGROR is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, and all major digital streaming platforms.

B.F. Raid Unleashes New Album Combat Zone And Spotlights Crushing Single “Punchdrunk” - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

B.F. Raid Unleashes New Album Combat Zone And Spotlights Crushing Single “Punchdrunk”

Massachusetts metal outfit turns the streets, memories, and overlooked stories of Greater Boston into a ten-track musical documentary

BOSTON, Massachusetts — Massachusetts heavy metal band B.F. Raid has released its second full-length album, Combat Zone , aand is currently spotlighting the hard-hitting track “Punchdrunk” as the album's featured single.

Released July 30, 2026, Combat Zone is far more than a conventional heavy metal record. Recorded at The Record Co. in Boston with engineer Jamie Rowe , the album serves as an audio documentary about growing up and living in and around Boston, combining the band's distinctly heavy sound with stories rooted in real places, people, memories, and experiences.

At the center of the current campaign is “Punchdrunk,” one of the album's ten tracks and a strong representation of B.F. Raid's ability to balance traditional heavy metal power with the progressive structures, unconventional harmony, punk directness, and melodic foundations that define the band's sound.

The track sits within an album inspired by Boston's former Combat Zone and the present-day area surrounding Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. Across Combat Zone , B.F. Raid explores addiction, isolation, memory, desire, difficult relationships, survival, and the people whose stories are often overlooked.

"Combat Zone is more than a collection of songs—it’s an audio documentary about growing up and living in Boston. Every track is rooted in a real place, person, memory or hard-earned experience, delivered through the heaviest and most diverse music B.F. Raid has ever recorded."

B.F. Raid features Bill Kotowski on vocals, Bruce Owens on guitar and keyboards, Matt "Moose" Howard on bass, and Jamie Forbes on drums. Kotowski, Owens, and Forbes are originally from Malden, Massachusetts, while Howard hails from Dallas, Texas.

The band's sound draws from the classic heavy metal tradition while refusing to remain confined by it. Progressive arrangements, punk attitude, unconventional harmonic ideas, dissonance, atmospheric textures, and strong melodic writing all play a role in B.F. Raid's music, making Combat Zone a natural fit for fans of Motörhead, Iron Maiden, and Pantera .

The songwriting process is equally collaborative. While an individual member may introduce the initial idea for a song, every composition is developed collectively, with all four musicians contributing to the final arrangement.

Guitarist and keyboardist Bruce Owens frequently incorporates atonal ideas, unexpected intervals, dissonance, and unresolved movement into his compositions. Bassist Matt "Moose" Howard often establishes the tonal center of a song while stepping forward as a featured or solo instrument. Vocalist Bill Kotowski provides the emotional and narrative direction, while drummer Jamie Forbes drives the movement, dynamics, and structure.

That collective approach is particularly important to Combat Zone .

"No song reached the finish line exactly the way it started," the band explains. "Once all four of us began working on it, the structure, mood, and direction could change completely. Every member helped shape what the listener ultimately hears."

“Punchdrunk” now serves as the band's featured single from the album, giving listeners a direct entry point into the world of Combat Zone while highlighting the chemistry of the current lineup.

The album follows B.F. Raid's 2024 full-length Raided Again , which introduced the current lineup to a wider audience. Tracks including "Becky," "Hollywood With Snakes," and "Angel" received independent radio airplay and helped establish the band with listeners and broadcasters in the United States and abroad.

With Combat Zone , B.F. Raid takes that foundation considerably further.

While the title Combat Zone may suggest violence, the album contains no violent themes. Its heaviness comes from emotional tension, personal struggle, difficult circumstances, and the realities of the environments described throughout the record.

B.F. Raid does not attempt to romanticize Boston's past, pass judgment on its present, or offer easy answers to complicated problems. Instead, the band documents what it has seen, experienced, remembered, and lived through.

The result is an album that is unmistakably heavy metal and unmistakably connected to Greater Boston.

B.F. Raid's Combat Zone is out now, with “Punchdrunk” serving as the album's featured single.

RAZORFLOWER Announces Debut Self-Titled Album Out September 18, 2026 - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RAZORFLOWER Announces Debut Self-Titled Album Out September 18, 2026

UK-based blackgaze and experimental black metal project Razorflower will release its debut self-titled album on September 18, 2026.

Created by Benedikt Willnecker, formerly of Ära Krâ , Razorflower pushes beyond the traditional boundaries of black metal, combining blistering intensity with elements of folk, ambient music, orchestral composition, and electronic sound design inspired by techno and modern experimental music.

For fans of Deafheaven , Oathbreaker , and Mogwai , the album presents an immersive and emotionally charged listening experience that unfolds as one continuous composition rather than a collection of disconnected songs.

Flowing seamlessly between aggressive black metal passages and expansive atmospheric sections, Razorflower embraces contrast and movement, creating a cinematic journey through sound, emotion, and tension.

Lyrically, the album draws inspiration from early 20th-century poetry and the emotional and political instability that preceded both World Wars. These themes are explored through a contemporary lens, reflecting cycles of fear, alienation, social unrest, and emotional detachment in modern society. At its core, the album also represents a desire for distance and resistance against the overwhelming pressures of modern life.

The release features contributions from several guest musicians, including drummer Filip Gäddnäs, harsh vocals from Thomas Blanc of Astral Lore , and clean vocals from Diego García Araujo. Additional elements include Spanish vocal melodies and lyrics by García Araujo, as well as western-style guitar work performed by Johan Emanuel Jørgensen in the album’s final section.

The album was mixed and mastered by Johan Emanuel Jørgensen, known for his work with Sunken , helping shape the record’s dynamic blend of atmosphere, aggression, and sonic depth.

Production Credits

Vocals performed and recorded by Thomas Blanc (harsh vocals) and Diego García Araujo (clean vocals)
Drums performed, recorded, and edited by Filip Gäddnäs
Mixed and mastered by Johan Emanuel Jørgensen

Mutation Unleash Primal Death Metal Fury on Debut Album Esoteric Order of Debauchery - @thebeast

Mutation Unleash Primal Death Metal Fury on Debut Album Esoteric Order of Debauchery

Swedish Death Metal Destroyers Set October 9 International Release Through Hells Headbangers

Stockholm, Sweden's Mutation are preparing to unleash their long-awaited debut full-length, Esoteric Order of Debauchery , with Hells Headbangers announcing October 9 as the album's international release date. The record will be available on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape.

Formed around 2019 by drummer S.N and guitarist K.L , Mutation began as a mutual obsession with the earliest and most savage forms of raw death metal. The pair eventually expanded the lineup in 2022 with vocalist N.S , guitarist S.Q , and bassist S.B , finally giving the band the firepower needed to record their first demo.

Released in 2023, Demo '23 arrived like a punch to the throat, delivering utterly unhinged intensity alongside an authentically ancient atmosphere. The demo caught the attention of Perdition Temple 's Gene Palubicki, who helped bring Mutation to the attention of Hells Headbangers . The label soon signed the band, setting the stage for what would become their first full-length assault.

Now, that assault has arrived.

Esoteric Order of Debauchery

Forged in the spirit of death metal's most feral beginnings, Esoteric Order of Debauchery is raw, primitive, violent, and completely uninterested in modern polish.

Mutation don't attempt to clean up the chaos. Instead, they embrace everything that made early death metal feel dangerous in the first place. Relentless blastbeats, savage riffs, filthy feedback, cavernous vocals, and an atmosphere soaked in menace come together in a sound that feels ripped straight from the genre's darkest underground origins.

Every track is short, sharp, and savage, built around instinct rather than perfection. The songs hit fast and hard, with riffs that slash through the noise while the drums threaten to completely lose control. There's an unmistakable sense of danger running through the entire record, as though every note carries its own death sentence.

This isn't death metal designed to be polished, progressive, or accessible.

Mutation aren't here to evolve death metal. They're here to drag it back to its most primal form and make it bleed again.

Join the Esoteric Order of Debauchery or fall before their ritual blade.

Hear "Necromantical Holocaust"

In anticipation of the album's release, Mutation have unleashed the brand-new track "Necromantical Holocaust" , available now through the official Hells Headbangers YouTube channel.

Fans can also hear the previously released track "Pestilent Whore" , offering another vicious preview of what Esoteric Order of Debauchery has in store.

International Release Date: October 9, 2026
Label: Hells Headbangers
Formats: CD, Vinyl LP, Cassette
Band: Mutation
Album: Esoteric Order of Debauchery
Origin: Stockholm, Sweden
Genre: Raw Death Metal

Mutation's Esoteric Order of Debauchery arrives October 9 through Hells Headbangers. If you're craving death metal stripped down to its ugliest, most primitive, and most dangerous form, this one belongs on your radar.

Listen to "Necromantical Holocaust," hear "Pestilent Whore," and find preorder information through Hells Headbangers.

The End of Melancholy Return With Powerful New Single "Halo" Out Now | Gothic Alternative Metal Rising From Adversity - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The End of Melancholy Return With Powerful New Single "Halo" Out Now | Gothic Alternative Metal Rising From Adversity

For Fans Of: Lacuna Coil, Infected Rain, Spiritbox

After years of international touring, major support slots, and overcoming extraordinary challenges, Georgia-based gothic alternative metal outfit The End of Melancholy have unleashed their emotionally charged new single "Halo," marking a powerful new chapter for the band.

Fronted by haunting female vocals and backed by crushing modern metal instrumentation, The End of Melancholy have spent years carving out their place in the international metal scene. The band has shared stages with artists including Motionless in White, Theatres des Vampires, and Hanzel und Gretyl , while touring extensively across Europe with performances in Poland, Lithuania, France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Switzerland, Estonia, and beyond.

One of the band's defining career moments came in 2019 when Chris Motionless personally selected The End of Melancholy as the support act for Motionless in White's show in St. Petersburg. Their momentum continued in 2020 when they signed with renowned European booking agency Massive Music , home to artists including Infected Rain, Nile, Gorgoroth, and Vader.

The band has also earned praise from Chris "The Lord" Harms of Lord of the Lost, who publicly shared and complimented their cover of one of his band's songs across social media.

Following the release of their acclaimed sophomore album Nature Unleashed in 2021, supported by multiple music videos and an international PR campaign with Maria Ferrero of Adrenaline PR, The End of Melancholy signed with DI Records in the United States before releasing the single "No Karma" in 2023.

Now operating independently once again, the band is preparing for the release of their next full-length album while actively seeking the right label and industry partners to help propel the project to the next level.

Leading the charge is "Halo," a deeply personal and significant release for the band.

"'Halo' is the band's most significant release since being forced to leave Russia. It is only our second release since relocating and marks another important step toward our new full-length album. The song was professionally recorded in the studio and accompanied by a full-scale music video filmed in Georgia. The entire process, from writing and recording the track to producing the video, took approximately one year."

Produced by Andrew Petroff , who handled the songwriting, production, studio recording, mixing, mastering, and music video production, with all lyrics written and vocals recorded by Olly Lex , "Halo" showcases the band's continued artistic evolution while delivering the cinematic atmosphere, emotional intensity, and modern heaviness fans have come to expect.

With a renewed sense of purpose and years of international experience behind them, The End of Melancholy continue proving that adversity can fuel creativity. "Halo" stands as both a statement of resilience and an exciting preview of what's to come from one of gothic alternative metal's most determined independent acts.

MURSKAUS Emerges From the Finnish Forests With Crushing, Doom-Tinged Heavy Metal on Self-Titled EP - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MURSKAUS Emerges From the Finnish Forests With Crushing, Doom-Tinged Heavy Metal on Self-Titled EP

Atmospheric Heavy Metal Project Announces November 13, 2026 Release While Looking Ahead to Future Full-Length Album

Straight from the dark forests of Ylöjärvi, Finland, MURSKAUS is stepping into the metal underground with a sound built on crushing riffs, oppressive atmospheres, dark lyrical themes, and a powerful balance between heaviness and melody.

Formed in late 2025, MURSKAUS is the solo project of Markus Vähäaho , who takes the unusual DIY approach of handling the project's songwriting, all instruments, vocals, and recording himself. The result is a deeply personal strain of atmospheric heavy metal infused with doom tones and an uncompromising sense of weight.

MURSKAUS will officially unleash its self-titled EP, Murskaus , on November 13, 2026 .

While the project carries the crushing force that fans of Conan and Pantera may appreciate alongside the dark atmosphere associated with Type O Negative , MURSKAUS isn't interested in simply recreating the sound of its influences. Instead, the project allows its wide-ranging musical inspirations to breathe freely, creating something that stands on its own.

“MURSKAUS offers a unique musical approach that balances heaviness and melody. The heavy sections really need to sound heavy and menacing, while the melodic sections should feel heart-wrenchingly desolate. The band hasn't set out to follow the path of any specific genre; instead, they've allowed their diverse influences to breathe freely and create a sound that's uniquely their own.”

The self-titled EP was recorded by MURSKAUS, with Oskari Hakala-Rahko handling the mixing and MURSKAUS taking care of mastering. The EP's cover artwork and logo were created by Matti Haapala .

Tracklist

Murskaus
Tuomion Kellot
Varjoissa Kuolleet Elävät

With the self-titled EP serving as the project's introduction, MURSKAUS is already looking toward its next chapter. The project plans to begin recording its first full-length album in early 2027 and is currently seeking a record label interested in working with the project on its upcoming debut full-length.

At the same time, MURSKAUS is preparing to make the transition from the studio to the stage. While currently operating as a one-person project, the band intends to become an active live act with a full lineup in the near future.

For listeners looking for heavy metal that isn't afraid to slow down, get dark, and let the riffs carry some serious weight, MURSKAUS is a name worth keeping on the radar.

Murskaus arrives November 13, 2026 via DIY/self-release.

MURSKAUS is currently seeking label interest for its upcoming full-length album planned for recording in early 2027.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SUM OF SEVEN, GREG C. BROWN, ARCHFIEND, DRAGONBORN, DAY 40 & FALSE MESSIAH FEATURED IN LATEST ROCK HARD MAGAZINE

Six Metal Devastation PR Clients Earn Reviews and Feature Coverage Alongside Moonspell, Judas Priest, Acid Bath, Left to Die, and More

Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that six artists and projects represented by the agency are featured in the latest issue of Rock Hard Magazine , one of Europe's longstanding and respected heavy music publications.

The issue features Moonspell on the cover and includes coverage of major names including Judas Priest, Acid Bath, Left to Die , and many more. Among that impressive lineup, six Metal Devastation PR clients have secured their own space throughout the issue, with coverage ranging from album reviews and ratings to an extensive interview.

Featured artists include Sum of Seven, Greg C. Brown, Archfiend, Dragonborn, Day 40, and False Messiah , showcasing an impressive cross-section of progressive, traditional, epic, death, thrash, and symphonic metal.

SUM OF SEVEN

The Seventh Element

Finnish metal band Sum of Seven are featured with coverage of their new album The Seventh Element , a record built around seven different personalities coming together to express a shared musical vision.

Rock Hard describes the project as a combination of progressive metal with melodic and cinematic influences , with the album exploring human emotions and the constant search for balance between light and darkness.

The review characterizes The Seventh Element as an immersive listening experience , with each track representing a different facet of human existence. The band's emphasis on authenticity and emotional depth is also highlighted, as the group seeks to create a personal connection with listeners.

The feature additionally spotlights the band's collaboration with photographer Oliver Weber , whose visual work reinforces the album's themes of introspection and transformation.

GREG C. BROWN

Solar Winds

Rating: 7.5/10

Acclaimed guitarist Greg C. Brown receives a 7.5/10 rating for Solar Winds .

Rock Hard praises Brown as an extremely eclectic guitarist with superb technique, noting the variety of his solo discography and his ability to combine virtuoso technique with emotional depth .

The review specifically points to the transition between Phobos and Deimos , highlighting guitar work worthy of the great guitar heroes, before moving into the cosmic and contemplative atmosphere of Theia .

Tracks including Solar Winds and Mist at Dawn reveal another side of Brown's musical personality, with Rock Hard praising the delicate and dreamy sensitivity found within the record.

The result, according to the review, is an engaging record where quality and quantity coexist in balance , once again demonstrating Brown's compositional and interpretive abilities.

ARCHFIEND

Lost Forever

Rating: 7/10

The solo project of singer and multi-instrumentalist Brian LaFave , Archfiend earns a 7/10 rating for Lost Forever .

Rock Hard describes Archfiend as rooted in solid, traditional heavy metal , while emphasizing the project's dramatic tension and emotional weight.

At the center of Lost Forever is the story of Jenna Lee , a teenager attempting to leave behind a troubled environment and build a better future, only to encounter another series of difficult and painful circumstances.

The review praises the record's dark, decadent melancholy , noting how effectively the music reflects Jenna's increasingly troubled emotional state.

With arrangements recalling the atmosphere of the 1980s, combined with LaFave's anguished vocals and straightforward but effective songwriting, Lost Forever delivers a strong nostalgic quality while maintaining its own emotional identity.

DRAGONBORN

No Mercy

Rating: 8/10

Turkish metal band Dragonborn deliver one of the strongest scores among the MDPR clients featured in the issue, earning an impressive 8/10 for No Mercy .

The release opens with an extended instrumental introduction filled with symphonic elements, immediately establishing the band's cinematic direction.

Rock Hard highlights Warhorns for Liars , where the band's grand and theatrical approach reinforces its preference for gripping narratives and medieval-inspired settings .

That cinematic and narrative quality continues throughout the four-track EP, which also features an instrumental interlude serving as a clear homage to fantasy literature and the battle imagery deeply associated with epic heavy metal.

Tracks such as Revenge of Pagan Storms and Execution allow Dragonborn to explore their passion for myths and legends through arrangements combining grandeur and majesty .

Rock Hard ultimately describes No Mercy as a true musical soundtrack , making the 8/10 rating a significant achievement for the Turkish quintet.

DAY 40

Phenomenon

London-based Day 40 , led by vocalist and guitarist Den Dimitrov , are featured in Rock Hard with coverage surrounding their latest album Phenomenon .

The article explores the long road behind the album, which began taking shape years ago before ultimately being reshaped following major lineup changes.

Dimitrov discusses the importance of the band's current lineup and the chemistry that comes from four musicians sharing the same passion. As he puts it, when that combination comes together, "magic happens."

Rock Hard also digs into one of Phenomenon 's most important strengths: its lyrical depth and substance .

Rather than relying solely on familiar metal subjects, Day 40 tackle ancient mysteries, conspiracies, philosophical questions, freedom of speech, and access to knowledge.

Musically, the band brings together death and thrash metal in their rawest and most traditional forms , with Dimitrov drawing equally from the classic 1980s thrash movement and the early 1990s death metal scene.

That combination of influences has helped Day 40 create a sound that bridges two important eras of extreme metal while maintaining its own identity.

FALSE MESSIAH

Seven

The mysterious international project False Messiah receives one of the issue's most extensive pieces of coverage with an in-depth interview surrounding its debut concept album Seven .

The identities of the project's members remain deliberately concealed. Instead, False Messiah describes itself as a "controlled creative entity" , placing the story and music ahead of individual personalities.

The project was created around a musical universe exploring themes including technology, artificial intelligence, social division, and the concentration of power , while deliberately approaching those subjects through speculative storytelling rather than political messaging.

According to the project, False Messiah was born in Montréal and has an international identity spanning Canada, Finland, France, and the UK.

Rock Hard's interview explores the band's description of its sound as symphonic dark metal , combining symphonic and cinematic elements with influences that reach from the darkness of Black Sabbath to the adventurous spirit of Iron Maiden and the melancholy of Sisters of Mercy.

At the center of Seven is a dystopian future where humanity has surrendered control to automated systems, power structures, and artificial intelligence.

But the album is ultimately not about machines.

It is about resilience .

Each song represents another chapter in a journey through fear, loss, courage, and ultimately hope, with False Messiah maintaining that even in its darkest moments, Seven leaves room for redemption.

SIX MDPR CLIENTS. ONE ISSUE. A HELL OF A STATEMENT.

For Metal Devastation PR, seeing six represented artists appear throughout the same issue of Rock Hard Magazine is a significant accomplishment.

The coverage demonstrates not only the international reach of the artists working with MDPR, but also the diversity of music coming through the agency.

Progressive metal. Cinematic metal. Traditional heavy metal. Epic metal. Death metal. Thrash metal. Symphonic dark metal.

Six very different artists. Six very different stories.

And all six are now represented in the pages of the same issue alongside some of the biggest names in heavy music.

With Moonspell commanding the cover and major features involving Judas Priest, Acid Bath, Left to Die , and many others, this latest issue represents exactly the kind of environment where underground and independent artists deserve to be seen.

Zach Moonshine of Metal Devastation PR states:

"This is what it's all about. You don't want every band you work with sounding the same or telling the same story. You want great artists with something to say, and you want to get them in front of the right people. Seeing six of our clients in one issue of Rock Hard, alongside bands like Moonspell, Judas Priest, Acid Bath, and Left to Die, is fucking awesome. And the fact that we're looking at everything from an 8/10 for Dragonborn to a 7.5/10 for Greg C. Brown, a 7/10 for Archfiend, plus features on Sum of Seven, Day 40, and False Messiah, makes it even better. These artists earned this."

Metal Devastation PR congratulates Sum of Seven, Greg C. Brown, Archfiend, Dragonborn, Day 40, and False Messiah on their appearances in the latest issue of Rock Hard Magazine .

This is another reminder that independent metal is alive, kicking, and still finding its way onto the pages of major international publications.

Rock Hard Magazine. Six MDPR clients. One issue. No small achievement.

DETH PROVIDER GARNERS NEW COVERAGE FROM BRAVEWORDS - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DETH PROVIDER GARNERS NEW COVERAGE FROM BRAVEWORDS

Bay Area Death Metal Collective Featuring Members of Death Angel, Exhumed, Necrot, Ripped to Shreds, Insanity, Molten & Deathgrave Continues to Make Noise With Self-Titled Debut

San Francisco, California – August 2026 – The Bay Area death metal collective Deth Provider , featuring Will Carroll of Death Angel alongside an impressive roster of musicians from some of the region's most respected extreme metal bands, has picked up new media coverage from BraveWords for its crushing self-titled debut album.

Check it out here:
https://bravewords.com/news/deth-provider-feat-death-angel-exhumed-necrot-members-release-digital-edition-of-self-titled-debut-album/

Originally released on 12" vinyl in June 2026 through Hectic Records / Bleeding Priest Records , Deth Provider was recently re-launched digitally, bringing the project's nine-track assault of old-school death metal brutality to listeners worldwide.

Rather than functioning as a conventional band, Deth Provider was conceived as a gathering of Bay Area metal veterans and rising forces, with different musicians contributing vocals, guitars, solos and other elements throughout the album.

At the center of the project is rhythm guitarist and songwriter Kenneth Dutton , who began developing the material in 2024 from a collection of raw, phone-recorded ideas. What started as three songs eventually grew into a nine-track album after Dutton recruited Herman Bandala and Chris Corona of Molten and brought in Will Carroll to provide the album's powerful drumming.

The resulting lineup reads like a who's who of Bay Area extreme metal.

The album features:

Will Carroll (Death Angel) – Drums

Herman Bandala (Molten) – Bass

Chris Corona (Molten) – Guitar Solos, Production, Recording & Cover Art

Kenneth Dutton – Rhythm Guitar & Songwriting

Brandon Bristol (Molten) – Vocals

Dave Gorsuch (Insanity) – Vocals & Guitar Solos

Matt Harvey (Exhumed) – Vocals & Guitar Solos

Andre Cornejo (Deathgrave) – Vocals

Andrew Lee (Ripped to Shreds) – Guitar Solos

Sonny Reinhardt (Necrot) – Guitar Solos

The new BraveWords coverage adds another important piece of exposure for the project as Deth Provider continues reaching metal fans beyond the Bay Area scene.

Musically, the album draws heavily from the traditions of classic death metal, combining filthy riffs, crushing grooves, punishing drums and an unmistakably old-school atmosphere. For listeners who grew up on Entombed, Obituary and the foundational sounds of death metal , Deth Provider delivers a record that embraces those traditions while allowing each contributor to bring their own personality to the music.

The band's name itself has an unusual Bay Area connection. During an appearance on Zetro's Toxic Vault , Forbidden bassist Matt Camacho discussed his former occupation as a caretaker and jokingly referred to himself as a "death provider." Host Steve "Zetro" Sousa suggested it would make a great band name, and Kenneth Dutton immediately knew he had found the title for the project.

Deth Provider was produced by Chris Corona and Kenneth Dutton , recorded and mixed by Corona at Secret Studios in San Francisco, California , and mastered by Justin Weis at S.S.F. The album artwork was created by Corona, with insert design by Dave Gorsuch and jacket and label design by Hectic Records.

With the album now available digitally as well as on 12" vinyl, Deth Provider is continuing to bring the sound and spirit of Bay Area death metal to a wider audience.
