Waterbury, CT – Connecticut metal juggernaut DIABOLIS is ready to set the stage ablaze this summer as they announce their participation in a once-in-a-lifetime event: David Ellefson's Basstory – Performance, Stories, & Legacy , taking place Thursday, August 7 . Sharing the bill with thrash icon Chris Poland (ex-Megadeth), Dave Sharpe and Christian F. Lawrence of Dead By Wednesday , and guest vocalists Andre Vanchot and Ray Sylvestre , this night promises unfiltered road stories, unforgettable performances, and a thunderous celebration of bass legacy — made even more powerful with DIABOLIS’ newest addition.
After years of shaping their molten sound, DIABOLIS recently locked in their full lineup with the induction of David Alusik , now known as simply D , on bass. A veteran of the national and underground scenes, D’s monstrous tone and menacing presence are already sending shockwaves through the Northeast metal community. Known for his past role as touring bassist for California’s epic power metal outfit Kill Ritual (Massacre Records), D brings over 25 years of experience from bands such as URN , NIMBUS , and The Dark Theater . His return to his Connecticut roots comes just in time to bring extra fire to this rare live appearance.
DIABOLIS — formed by drummer John J-SINZ LeVasseur and guitarist Gary Joseph , both formerly of CT’s TromitizeD , and completed in 2021 with the arrival of frontman Tim "Voxx" Hayden — made an immediate impact with their crushing debut EP Watching the World Burn . Now, with the full force of D on bass, the band is sharpening their edge and preparing to dominate every stage they hit.
