Atlanta Progressive Metal Outfit Sight of Theia Announce Cosmic Horror Debut Album "The Great Dreamer" Out September 4, 2026

Atlanta, Georgia based progressive metal band Sight of Theia are set to unleash their highly anticipated debut full-length album, The Great Dreamer , on September 4, 2026 . Self-released and packed with crushing riffs, intricate musicianship, and an immersive science fiction narrative, the album delivers a cinematic journey through the depths of space where humanity encounters an ancient nightmare beyond comprehension.
Originally founded by guitarist and primary songwriter Alex Buhlig , Sight of Theia evolved through several lineup changes before solidifying its current roster with drummer Ricky Shenkman , guitarist Charles Von Kanel , and bassist Bill Pritchard . Together, the band recorded and released the Lighthouse EP, building a strong reputation across the Atlanta metal scene through energetic live performances.
Following that chapter, the band embarked on an ambitious new project, composing and recording an instrumental concept album that would eventually become The Great Dreamer . During the recording process, vocalist Haden Rider approached the band about joining the project. His audition immediately proved he was the missing piece, and after seamlessly integrating into the lineup, Rider completed the album with a commanding vocal performance that brought the record's story fully to life.
The result is a progressive metal experience that balances technical precision with emotional intensity while drawing listeners into a chilling tale inspired by cosmic horror.
