Grave Next Door Unleashes Highly Anticipated Album Sorry No Candy Today via Black Doomba Records!

Michigan-based doom and stoner metal band Grave Next Door has officially released their much-anticipated second full-length album, Sorry No Candy, today, November 1, 2024. This powerful collection is now available for streaming, delivering a heavy and mesmerizing sonic experience that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

Following the release of their latest single, “Blood Moon Hymn,” Grave Next Door has kept the momentum going, providing listeners with a gripping exploration of dark themes like mortality, addiction, and war. The band has been releasing audio and video content leading up to the album launch, engaging their fanbase with a steady stream of new material.

Sorry No Candy showcases Grave Next Door's signature sound, combining the doom-laden grooves reminiscent of bands like Cream, Weedeater, and Melvins. Formed in 2018 by brothers Patrick and Anthony Salerno, the band draws from their rich life experiences—Patrick’s background as a bounty hunter and deep-sea diver enhances the emotional depth of their music, while Anthony’s foreboding guitar riffs and haunting vocals contribute to the band’s distinctive style. Their palpable chemistry shines through in every track, creating an intense listening experience.

The band gained an online following with their 2019 single “As Heavy as Texas,” which was later remastered and re-released by Black Doomba Records in 2023. Since then, they have established themselves as a prominent fixture in the underground doom scene, performing at notable festivals such as Maryland Doom Fest, Tennessee Metal Devastation Festival, and Kraken Doom Fest.

Recorded at Black Doomba Studio in Atlanta and produced by Tommy Stewart (known for his work with Hallows Eve and as the owner of Black Doomba Records), Sorry No Candy promises to solidify Grave Next Door’s place in the doom and stoner metal pantheon. The album title is inspired by a humorous sign outside the studio that directed trick-or-treaters during Halloween week 2023, stating, "Sorry No Candy."
