THY LEGACY Unleash Debut Album The Call Through Nameless Graves Records

Greek Heavy Metal Newcomers Draw From Manowar, Omen, Eternal Champion, Battleroar and the Ancient Spirit of True Metal

There is something about the Greek metal underground that continues to produce bands with a deep respect for the foundations of the genre. From epic heavy metal to traditional and extreme metal, Greece has developed a reputation for keeping the old flame burning while adding its own distinctive character.

Now, a new name has entered the ranks.

Hailing from Crete, Greece, THY LEGACY have officially unleashed their debut album, The Call , through independent label Nameless Graves Records . Released September 11, 2026, the eight-track album is a full-throttle celebration of traditional heavy metal, drawing heavily from the classic Greek and Italian epic metal traditions alongside the high-energy attack of US Power Metal.

For listeners who believe heavy metal should still sound like heavy metal, The Call arrives with plenty of ammunition.

The band's influences include legendary acts such as Manowar, Omen, Eternal Champion, Battleroar, Wrathblade and other champions of epic and traditional metal. Rather than chasing modern trends, THY LEGACY have devoted themselves to what they describe as the preservation of True Metal , building their sound around driving riffs, majestic guitar harmonies, powerful vocals and the kind of larger-than-life atmosphere that has defined epic heavy metal for generations.

From the opening attack of "Heavy Metal Rising" to the charging riffs of "Metal Legion," The Call is built around momentum. The songwriting favors strong melodies, commanding vocals and guitar work designed to sound equally at home on a battle standard or blasting through a pair of battered speakers in a metalhead's garage.

The album's title track, "The Call," serves as a brief atmospheric centerpiece before the band launches back into the heavy metal charge. Tracks such as "Holy Storm," "Chasing Glory" and "Seven Witches" continue the album's epic journey, while the closing "The Road to Helheim" brings the record to its conclusion with its longest track.

At just over 32 minutes, The Call doesn't overstay its welcome. Instead, THY LEGACY deliver a compact dose of steel that gets in, makes its presence known and leaves the listener ready to hit play again.

The album's visual identity also fits perfectly with its musical mission. The cover artwork was created by Mars Triumph , known for his work with the Greek epic metal band Triumpher , further connecting THY LEGACY's debut to the modern Greek traditional metal scene.

Behind the recording are Giannis Pratikakis , who handled recording of guitars, bass and drums, Nikos Trialonis , who recorded vocals and handled mixing, and Bart Gabriel , who handled mastering.

With The Call , THY LEGACY are planting their flag firmly in the territory of epic and traditional heavy metal. There are no shortage of bands looking backward for inspiration, but the real challenge is turning those influences into something that feels alive rather than simply nostalgic.

THY LEGACY clearly understand the assignment.

The result is an unapologetically metal debut built around riffs, melodies, soaring vocals and the timeless spirit of epic steel. For anyone who still believes in leather, denim, big riffs and songs that sound like they were written for battle rather than algorithms, The Call deserves a place on the listening list.

THY LEGACY's journey has only just begun.

The Call is available now through Nameless Graves Records and is streaming across major platforms.
