The latest media coverage comes just days after Hoit's confirmation for the festival and follows the August 28 release of her second full-length album, When The Skies Fall , via SAOL, a division of CMM GmbH .
The growing attention surrounding Hoit's 70,000 Tons appearance adds another significant piece to an already strong run for the artist. Her new album has received international recognition, including an 8/10 review from Rock Hard Magazine , with the publication describing When The Skies Fall as “a work as powerful as it is fragile.”
Now, her music is heading to one of the most unique stages in heavy metal.
FROM NEW ALBUM TO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL EXPOSURE
Talia Hoit's appearance at 70,000 Tons of Metal 2027 represents a major milestone following the release of When The Skies Fall .
The album expands upon the intimate songwriting foundation established on her 2024 debut Oceans , bringing together piano, vocals, orchestration, powerful metal instrumentation, and emotionally charged performances.
Songs such as “All You Want” and “Again” showcase Hoit's ability to move between vulnerable, intimate songwriting and expansive symphonic metal arrangements.
At the heart of the project is what Hoit describes as her “piano confessional” , where personal experiences, poetry, melodies, grief, transformation, resilience, and emotional survival become the foundation for her music.
That deeply personal approach has now carried her onto an international festival lineup featuring some of the biggest names in metal.
70,000 TONS OF METAL 2027
The 2027 edition of 70,000 Tons of Metal will bring 60 metal bands and thousands of metal fans together for the world's largest heavy metal cruise, with every artist performing two sets during the voyage.
Hoit joins an increasingly stacked international lineup that includes legendary thrash metal veterans Exodus , Finnish melodic death metal powerhouse Wolfheart , Finnish melodic metal act Brymir , cinematic metal project Avaland , Famous Strangers , and many more.
With BraveWords now highlighting Hoit as part of the 2027 lineup, the announcement represents another important step in bringing When The Skies Fall to a wider international metal audience.
Talia Hoit is coming to 70,000 Tons of Metal.
And the world is starting to take notice.
