FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TDW Releases “Bane of the Talebearer OST” Out Now
Progressive Symphonic Metal Multigenre Soundtrack Album Available Now via Layered Reality Productions
TDW, the creative outlet of composer and multi-artist Tom de Wit, has officially released the ambitious new soundtrack album Bane of the Talebearer OST . Available now through Layered Reality Productions, the release can be experienced as a triple CD, USB edition, and worldwide streaming album.
TDW delivers a massive, genre-defying soundtrack experience that blends progressive metal, symphonic orchestration, folk, ambient, jazz, and experimental sound design into one unified narrative world.
Born from the larger Bane of the Talebearer multimedia universe, the project expands across an ongoing YouTube audio drama, an upcoming artbook, and a videogame currently in development. The OST stands as its core musical pillar, featuring more than 70 tracks of primarily instrumental compositions built around leitmotifs and cinematic storytelling.
Creator Tom de Wit describes the project as a creative shift away from traditional album writing, choosing instead to build a fully immersive fantasy soundtrack inspired by classic adventure games and narrative-driven worlds.
All music was written, produced, mixed, and mastered by Tom de Wit at The Imagineering Suite in Amersfoort, with contributions from a wide range of international guest musicians spanning progressive, classical, folk, and metal scenes.
Bold in both scope and vision, Bane of the Talebearer OST prioritizes human-crafted composition and long-form storytelling over modern trends of short-form content and AI-assisted production.
