The Keating Contingency Unleashes Debut EP “Scream Into the Void”
Chicago, IL – May 8, 2026 – Rising from the heart of Chicago’s metal scene, The Keating Contingency is proud to announce the release of their debut EP, Scream into the Void . A melodic death metal powerhouse, this solo studio project showcases the talents of Shea Keating alongside contributions from members of Chimaira, Daath, The Dresden Dolls , and other esteemed musicians from around the globe.
Over the past two and a half years, Keating collaborated with an eclectic roster of artists to create a project that fuses individual creativity with a cohesive sonic identity. Each track is a testament to the dynamic interplay between Keating’s central writing style and the unique interpretations of his collaborators, producing a record that is at once intense, melodic, and unforgettable.

Scream into the Void was mixed by Pete Grossman at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, ensuring a crushingly polished yet raw sound that fans of Chimaira, Trivium, and Machine Head will immediately connect with.
