Knoxville, TN’s rising doom trio Sun Mantra delivers a crushing blow to the senses with their new double single release, Fertilizer / Wrath , available now as of April 4, 2025 . The latest offering builds on the momentum of their acclaimed debut single Cosmic Law and cements their place in the modern doom scene with a fierce blend of heavy psychedelia and soul-wrecking doom riffs.

Sun Mantra , formed in the summer of 2023 by drummer Leo Dyer (ex-Summoners Circle, Mountain King) and guitarist Josh Drinnen , found their full voice when Harrison Hammett joined on bass and vocals. Together, the trio became a sonic force of nature—delivering thunderous riffs, pounding drums, and vocals that cut like a ritual blade. Their sound is equal parts raw, hypnotic, and transcendental.

On Fertilizer / Wrath , the band traverses a chaotic spectrum of doom metal and psychedelic rock.

"Fertilizer" crashes forward with gritty distortion, snarling vocals, and a muscular rhythm section that drives into sludge-laden territories, culminating in a hypnotic yet pummeling wall of sound.

"Wrath" shifts gears into a more experimental space, weaving psychedelic textures with explosive bursts of aggression—highlighting the band’s knack for tension, contrast, and unrelenting heaviness.

Recorded and engineered by Danielle Fehr of The Wizard Productions , and co-produced with the band, all three of Sun Mantra's released tracks ( Cosmic Law , Fertilizer , and Wrath ) showcase the band’s meticulous attention to sonic density and raw, unfiltered emotion.
