Metal Devastation PR is proud to be featured in this month’s issue of Metalized Magazine (Denmark), showcasing the latest in extreme metal. The issue includes reviews and interviews of MDPR bands Wrath Of Belial (CDN Records), Infest (Violent Creek Records), WTM , and Dii Minores .

Infest – Ambassadors of Aggression (Violent Creek) – 8/10
The Serbian band Infest has been around for 100 years and is all about fast death/thrash metal. Their music is so hard that you need a heavy-duty base (for the low end) and a high-end sound to even grasp the attack, which is all they have to offer. The sound of the new album has also subtly changed compared to their previous work. In "Ambassadors of Aggression," they show a more mature side. The album is a fine blend of harsh, grinding industrial sounds, and they're also doing an amazing job on their touring schedule, as I have the privilege of seeing them at Metal Fest, just a couple of years after their first performance. This new collaboration with the old masters of the genre is also a highlight. This is an album filled with guitars, drums, and even more drums. We're talking about a mixture of Vader, Carcass, and even Sepultura. It even includes some parts with an almost-spiritual feel to it with the title track and especially with the songs "Are You With Me?" "Songs of Violence," and "Seeds of Corruption." They have a clear focus on the songs' structures and their titles. You can find "Screaming Your Name" and the guitar harmonies in "Bolje Da Umrem," which proves that brutal and catchy can be a beautiful thing and that sometimes, it's not enough to say you're a metal band. The title track, "Requiem for the Balkans," is a great representation of this. Wrath Of Belial – Embers of Dead Empires (CDN) – 5/10
After almost a year of silence, the Aarhusian band Wrath of Belial has returned to the Danish metal scene. With their new full-length album, "Embers of Dead Empires," they are spreading washed-out melo-death into the air. This is a genre where bands with bad intentions, like Ill-disposed and Dawn of Demise, are already well-represented. Wrath of Belial makes a sincere attempt to deliver softer tones that can compete for the listener's favor. It's safe to say there's no doubt that the album is completely their own.

"Embers of Dead Empires" comes across as well-played and extremely technically well-founded, and there's nothing to criticize in terms of composition or production. So far, so good. However, there's a certain something that "Embers of Dead Empires" never quite achieves. Artistically, it's a very cautious contribution without much originality, and it feels a bit strange. It lacks a certain boldness and emotional impact that would give the album a distinct artistic identity and set Wrath of Belial apart from their Danish genre-mates, which convinces me that I'd rather listen to something else. In other words, I miss an artistic drive that could have elevated the album.

Dii Minores – March of the Fallen (Self-Release) – 7/10
With March of the Fallen, Dii Minores takes a huge step forward and delivers a rock-solid, dark, and atmospheric metal album that is both melodic, heavy, and deeply reflective. The band moves within a hybrid of progressive metal and doom-influenced melodic death metal, but with a sound that feels personal and well-crafted.

From the first note, you can feel a dark presence, where the vocals in particular carry an emotional weight that draws the listener into a sound universe filled with desperation, struggle, and contemplation. The production is sharp and organic—the heavy riffs have room to breathe, and the more subdued, almost cinematic passages create a strong contrast and dynamic.

The lyrics revolve around falling, rising, and humanity's struggle with itself and the world, without falling into clichés. It's clear that Dii Minores has put their heart into this. "March of the Fallen" is not just a great metal album—it's an emotional journey that testifies to a band with both integrity and artistic ambition. It's a strong release that deserves attention far beyond the underground.

On the other side of the spectrum, Wisconsin’s Casket Robbery are no strangers to TMDMF — 2025 will mark their third strike at the fest, and they’re only getting heavier.

Known for their ferocious stage presence and horror-driven death metal, the band has built a rabid following in Jackson.
