Lost Circus Unleashes Haunting Hard Rock Cover of Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited” — Featuring Stunning Visuals Directed by Calico Cooper
Nashville, TN – April 11, 2025 — Hard rock band Lost Circus has reimagined Alanis Morissette’s 1998 Grammy-winning hit “ Uninvited ” with a thunderous, emotionally-charged rendition, available now on all major streaming platforms. The track, produced and mixed by Saul Zonana (Ace Frehley, Crash Test Dummies) at Studio Z , is accompanied by a visually arresting music video directed by Calico Cooper (Alice Cooper, Beasto Blanco).
Blending modern intensity with a classic hard rock edge, Lost Circus transforms the haunting elegance of the original into a cinematic, riff-driven powerhouse. The band— Steve Libby (vocals), Bryan Blumer (guitars), Kenny Knight (guitars), Chad Grant (bass), and Tom Gregory (drums) —channels influences from Queensryche , Judas Priest , and Disturbed to breathe new life into the song.
The official video, shot at Skyway Studios and on location in Nashville, TN, builds upon the song’s ethereal nature, layering in powerful storytelling and dramatic visuals. Cooper’s direction adds a surreal, dystopian tone—highlighted by her portrayal of a dancing violinist bringing to life the song’s arabesque string passages, performed by acclaimed violinist Cassandra “Cat” Sotos (Arijit Singh, The Wildflowers, ABA).
At the heart of the video is a modern allegory: the struggle between humanity and artificial intelligence. Actor Rodman Rodman (Dark Harvest 3: Scarecrow) portrays a synthetic being grappling with his creators’ intentions to weaponize him. As the lines blur between creator and creation, the video asks a chilling question: Will humanity endure, or be left behind—Uninvited?
