Metal Devastation PR is thrilled to congratulate BURIAL OATH on signing with Redefining Darkness Records for the release of their highly anticipated third full-length album, The Cycles of Suffering, set for release on November 15, 2024. Rising from the depths of Cleveland, Ohio, BURIAL OATH continues to push the boundaries of black metal, presenting their darkest, most dynamic work to date.

The band’s haunting journey began with their 2017 debut Beyond the Vale of Shadowlands, released via Vendetta Records. With a unique, brooding sound, the album quickly garnered acclaim, described by No Clean Singing as “sulfurous and savage” with “dark melodies and dynamic rhythms” that have since become BURIAL OATH's trademark. Their 2018 follow-up, Subjugation of the Bastard Son, further cemented their reputation with Angry Metal Guy calling it “black metal at its most unencumbered, effortless and simple.”

After a five-year hiatus, BURIAL OATH returns with a revitalized lineup, adding MOR GRISH and R to original members JV and D. With The Cycles of Suffering, they deliver an unrelenting collection of tracks that push the edges of black metal, drawing comparisons to genre stalwarts Gorgoroth, Spectral Wound, and MGLA. The album’s leading single, “Pagan Fires,” premiered on Decibel Magazine, who praised it for its “catchy, blackened, groovy metal” sound.

BURIAL OATH will be supporting The Cycles of Suffering with their Territorial Damnation Tour this October and November, with a U.S. tour set for Spring 2025. For fans and newcomers alike, The Cycles of Suffering promises an uncompromising journey through BURIAL OATH’s relentless vision of black metal.
