CBD has gradually found its way to people's consciousness as a compound that is beneficial to the health, while THC, on the other hand, was always famous as a psychoactive compound; this was the most apparent reason whoever used Cannabis in the past consumed it.  Although some states in America now allow for legal use of Cannabis with THC content, such as Alaska, California, Colorado, Oregon, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Washington, and the District of Columbia. Before you go on ahead to use weed, you should know these eight facts we are about to share with you. Eight Facts You Didn't Know About Cannabis: Fact #1: The story behind the origin of Cannabis The plant's true origin is still a bit mysterious, but it wasn't the hippie generation that found weed. The Drug Enforcement Administration Museum in Arlington, Virginia, found that the oldest written mention of Cannabis goes back to 2727 BC . The Chinese emperor at that time, Shen Nung (2700 BCE), was said to have supposedly discovered the healing properties of Cannabis; it was used to cure ailments such as rheumatism, menstrual problems, gout, malaria, and absent-mindedness. Shen Nung was also known as the father of Chinese medicine and the author of The Great Herbal aka Pen T'sao, a book modified but still in use today by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners.  Although the story is still a bit shaky because it is believed that there was another emperor, Shen Nung was probably not an emperor. In 2018 a 2700-year-old weed was found in a Chinese tomb, confirming that the Chinese found weed first in history.  Fact #2: Did you know the first item sold over the internet was Cannabis in 1971?
