KATAVASIA: new promo materials from IRON BONEHEAD - @thebeast

FYI: IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present a special EP from KATAVASIA, Invoking the Spirit of Doom, on 7" vinyl format. KATAVASIA is a Greek black metal band formed in 2014 by members of well-known Greek metal acts such as Varathron, Hail Spirit Noir, Aenaon, Melan Selas, and Agnes Vein. The goal of the alliance was to compose and perform Greek black metal at its finest. In 2015, KATAVASIA released their debut album, Sacrilegious Testament, which was highly praised by both media and fans for its dedication to the original Greek BM sound but at the same time offering originality. A 7" EP titled Daemonic Offering followed in 2017 to prove, once again, the band's aptitude and hunger for more devilish riffs and engrossing atmosphere. Their long-awaited second album, Magnus Venator, followed in 2020, proving that KATAVASIA's sound is as enduring and eternal as ever And they prove that yet again with a quick-hitting EP under the banner of longtime fans IRON BONEHEAD. Aptly titled Invoking the Spirit of Doom, KATAVASIA's new two-song offering presents the band's majestic-yet-malevolent sound in its rawest form yet, but rich and robust like never before. Like a time-warp to the early '90s but imbued with the wisdom of the ages, these two tracks are quintessential Hellenic black metal given a demonic twist...straight into the abyss, where it all began! Begin Invoking the Spirit of Doom posthaste - hail Hellas, and hail KATAVASIA! SACRIFIXION: new promo materials from HELLS HEADBANGERS - @thebeast

HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present SACRIFIXION's striking debut EP, Shower Me in Death, on 7" vinyl format. Although brand-new in name, SACRIFIXION feature veterans of the German metal underground - among them, ex-Cruel Force vocalist Carnivore and the ever-prolific Avenger (Nocturnal, Front Beast, Szarlem et. al.). As expected, the power-trio's first recording is a vicious, uncompromising nuclear warhead of ancient deathrash energies. Bearing the all-too-fitting title Shower Me in Death, SACRIFIXION's attack bristles with the billowing violence of '80s South America and Germany alike and even earliest Exodus, Death, and Dark Angel. Still, the four songs comprising Shower Me in Death show their own unique shades of exquisite Metal of Death, raw and nearly out of control and somehow supremely haunting. It's a sound that's lurking in the dungeons of the mid-'80s and the present simultaneously, for SACRIFIXION are very much here and NOW - and this is but the start, for a full-length is already in the works. IXTLAHUAC: new promo materials from NUCLEAR WAR NOW! - @thebeast

Ixtlahuac emerged in 2018 from San Leandro, California and Medellin, Colombia. After two exceptionally refined demos, Teyacanilitztli Nahualli is the most recent offering from this grim alliance. Drawing on influences of classic black and death metal, Ixtlahuac establishes their own unique handle of the genre with grandiose and sweeping song structures, unorthodox instrumentation, and forlorn guitar meditations that all serve to brace the overwhelming power of this full-length offering. Tension runs deep here, with each track offering a tightly composed series of movements that suggest a dramaturgical vision from their creators. A suffocating atmosphere sets the tone, with raw analog recording that brings to mind the best of the LLN hordes. Lyrically, Teyacanilitztli Nahualli (which translates to “Sorcerer Guide”) draws on obscure Mesoamerican codices known as Amoxtli. These codices, written in the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries, detail the histories of indigenous pre-colonial life in Mesoamerica. With a focus on the cosmogenic worship of deities such as Huitzilopochtli, the star-bound patron of war, an occult current breathes beneath the surface of Ixtlahuac’s cryptic poetry. War, sacrifice, and ritual operate in equal measure, from a time where the power of the Tlamacazqui (the ritual priest) held violent sway. A modern mind occludes the mysteries of this ancient society of ritual war. Ixtlahuac guides us through its arcane labyrinth. A truly stand-out expression of high-altitude meditation and pure, rotten evil, Teyacanilitztli Nahualli will certainly be regarded as a classic in the tradition of black metal art. An ode to the ritual power of war for those willing to take the risk. FULL TRACKLISTING 1. Huehuecoyotl 2. Ixlthaucán de los Brujos 3. Guía Mistico:Xoloitzcuintle 4. Nahuallotl (Magia) Negra 5. Ritual de Fuego Nuevo 6. Xolotl:4 Puntos Cardinales (Outro) 7. Rito Ceremonial en la Zona Negativa (Engendro Malévolo Cover Bonus Track) 8. Coatlicue Nunca Muere (Bonus track) Teyacanilitztli Nahualli by Ixtlahuac MORE INFO: www.nwnprod.com www.facebook.com/pages/Nuclear-War-Now-Productions/114864651994141

Check out the interview on Spotify: Check out the interview on YouTube: Check out the interview on Apple iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-zach-moonshine-show/id1533618474 In 1994, four friends got together and decided they wanted to entertain the world. They decided to name their band ' State Of Mind' ( SOM ) because that is what music is to them, a State of Mind . Their influences are old school metal gods such as, Ronnie James Dio , Judas Priest , Black Sabbath , Queensryche , Iron Maiden , Pantera , Led Zeppelin etc.  The music is hard hitting and described as New Classic Metal . With the flavor of their influences guiding their way. The lyrics are written to describe ones State of Mind in any given situation, and to give those feelings an outlet other than addiction or suicide. They have lost two band members to addiction that resulted in death. RIP Scott and Brett. They put out their first studio recording in 1995. A six song, self titled cassette recorded on the only ADAT machine in their area at that time. The latest CD was released in 2019 along with a music video released in Dec 2019. They are now composing new music for their second CD which will be titled “ Shattered ”, and working on another music video. Add them to your playlists on Spotify! Check them out on YouTube!
