GENTLE SAVAGE - "Sometimes Gentle and Sometimes Wild and Raw" - Welcome to the Savage Nest! - @thebeast

Finnish Rockers GENTLE SAVAGE, formed in 2013, talk about their band name and its meaning, welcoming you to the Savage nest! Tornado, the band's songwriter and vocalist: "What do you get when you combine ancient Karelian spells and the buzz and chaos of mega European cities? You get a magic potion with crazy opposites and a bold energy! When we were looking for a name to go by, these opposing forces were the bottom line behind finding the right name." Lead vocalist Tornado came up with the name ’Gentle Savage’ by combining the two opposing concepts that describe their music: sometimes gentle and sometimes wild and raw. GENTLE SAVAGE's songs typically have a wide range of dynamic changes. With a musical DNA twirling back to the earliest days of rock music, GENTLE SAVAGE purrs and roars with their unique style. Lyrics cover things from love to hate and pain to partying, without shame or apology. "You can find these same streaks in every member of the band; one is more gentle whilst another is more savage. All living creatures have the same built-in setup; something raw, something softer. Even the most cruel predator protects their own when danger strikes. Be nice and I’ll be gentle, attack me and I’ll show you who's boss. The message is clear: ’Treat yourself and let our magic in. We’ll take care of the rest’. Welcome to the Savage nest!" ---------- Currently, GENTLE SAVAGE are busy working in the studio on their debut album, coming out February 2021! The third single, entitled ’Run Run Poor Boy’, will be unleashed on October 9th. It could be an independent sequel to the band’s previous work, like a narrative of what could have happened to the characters in the songs today.  August 2020 – Seven years is a surprisingly short time – or can be considered a long time, depending on how you feel. The band has found a characteristic sound that they are honing more precisely, especially in live shows. The band is now in its final form – a five-member line-up. The first gigs are completed, a great performance at the Goat Hill Festival fresh in the memory. When the world returns to normal post-COVID-19, GENTLE SAVAGE will hit the stage more regularly.   "It is all about the songs. And their internal message. That's the basic philosophy behind Gentle Savage."  ------ GENTLE SAVAGE's first single ’Karelian Magic’, released in April 2019, turned out to be a fairly personal love song with a universal theme; every man that loves a woman knows what it feels like to be under her spell. ’Karelian Magic’ was released with a music video directed by Saku Petteri Perintö from Lumifilms. The video is a modern fast paced brain twister. It was widely appraised around the world and also on YouTube. ‘Karelian Magic’ became the song the band is known for, however there’s more to Gentle Savage.   ’Treat yourself and let our magic in. We’ll take care of the rest’. New ORPLID album "Deus Vult" out today - @thebeast

The new ORPLID album "Deus Vult" is hitting the stores today. The German neofolk masterpiece has been highly anticipated by the duos' many followers.  ORPLID are the lyrical and musical embodiment of the German neofolk scene. With their eyes firmly on the past, the duo consisting of poet and singer Uwe Nolte as well as composer and multi-instrumentalist Frank Machau joined forces in 1996 in the Eastern German town of Halle at the river Saale. ORPLID band pictures and other graphic materials are available at this link:  https://shwca.se/orplid Pre-sale link:  prophecy.lnk.to/Orplid-2020 Tracklist 01. Ouvertüre 02. Bald kommt der Krieg in dein Haus 14. Sommer ging verirrt, geheim 15. ... 16. Deutschland 2016 17. Das Abendland 18. Cortez "Deus Vult" (Latin: “As God wills”), the infamous motto of the Christian knights, sometimes used to justify ghastly massacres, originates from the First Crusade in 1096. ORPLID chose this motto deliberately as the title of their seventh full-length to illustrate a prominent motive running through their work: fighting and dying for a cause. Inspired by dramatic life stories throughout history regardless of origin or ideology, Uwe Nolte composed poems about Czech student Jan Palach, who torched himself in protest against the Soviet occupation, communist revolutionary Tamara Bunke as well as the Evangelical minister and physician Kurt Reuber, who painted the famous "Stalingrad Madonna" during World War II. Musically, ORPLID once again demonstrate their wide range of influences and modes of expression that go beyond the artistic shackles many Neofolk outfits are content to wear. As if to stress this point, the East Germans invited Katrin Lindner, an iconic rock singer in the former German Democratic Republic, to contribute her voice on the track 'Dunkle Stunde' and implemented neoclassical elements via pulsing electronics. Completed by an almost gothic reinterpretation of their own classic 'Das Abendland', the album also features a cover of Neil Young's 1975 masterpiece 'Cortez the Killer', another statement of intent: "The song is about greed and what happens if we forget what is inherent in us", Nolte points out. "The present time suffers from alienation – and we are the antidote!" Release date: September 25th Please use this pre-sale link in your coverage, if possible: prophecy.lnk.to/Orplid-2020 Line-up Frank Machau - music, composition, vocals Uwe Nolte - lyrics, vocals, concept Style: Neofolk ORPLID on Facebook: www.facebook.com/orplid.official Label: Auerbach Tonträger / Prophecy Productions Available formats Deus Vult is available as a hardcover CD book (18x18cm, 60 pages) and on vinyl - exclusively as part of the 12LP box set Legatum. From The Runs 'Into Chaos' E.P. Reviewed By Metal Gods TV! - @thebeast

From The Runs 'Into Chaos' E.P. Reviewed By Metal Gods TV! Check it out at this link: https://metalgodstv.com/from-the-ruins-e-p-review-into-chaos/ From The Ruins are a thrash metal band from the USA formed in 2015, releasing their debut E.P ‘Into Chaos’ in 2020. A blunt bludgeoning barrage of thrash awaits anyone who listens to the debut offering from thrash metal newcomers From The Ruins. The six song slaying of the senses, begins with the brutal ‘No Honor’, swinging savage Slayer like blows as it ferociously thunders on. What an immediate and explosive opening… …quickly followed by ‘Contract Killer’ – a mellow intro belying it’s thrash metal roots. As soon as ‘Contract Killer’ gets into it stride, the pummelling it dishes out is savage, causing trauma wherever it is played. A&E departments all around the world are gonna be busy. From The Ruins are an American band, echoing traits of legends Slayer, but also incorporating the devastating brutal-ness that Germans Kreator brought to the thrash metal sound. ‘We Fight’ is a more mid tempo stomp, bringing a more traditional heavy metal feel to the E.P. with the guitar buzz so synonymous with the iconic NWOBHM evolution hugely evident. And for four words during ‘We Fight’, From The Ruins produce an identical comparison to Slayer, when their singer hollers “die by the sword”…what a magical moment! Increasing the pace to a ferocious velocity, ‘Chaos’ is a head bangers dream. For the first time on the E.P. vigorous head banging will take over metal heads, with mosh pits becoming aggressively maniacal. At almost seven minutes in length, ‘Divided’ is by far and away the longest song on offer, and is an epic rollercoaster ride to every corner of the thrash metal genre. Swinging from fast to mid paced, from brutal to savage to ferocious, ‘Divided’ will appeal not only to thrash fans, but fans of the traditional style of heavy metal too. The final song ‘Eye For An Eye’ is the shortest on offer, but is also the most explosive, hurling hand grenades with the utmost menace. ‘Eye For An Eye’ is a raucous, fast paced thrash metal romp, bringing the curtain down on a very impressive debut release. Overall, a savage barrage of thrash to get heads banging, From The Ruins have impressed with their fiery debut offering. - Metal Gods TV NoLifeTilMetal Records is proud to be releasing the new album by FROM THE RUINS titled Into Chaos For fans of Death Angel, Kreator, Metal Church   From the Ruins is an unadulterated and unapologetic thrash metal band! Formed in Reno, Nevada , USA in 2016, the band quickly exploded onto the scene and began obliterating clubs across the West Coast. The bands sound is built around the machine gun riffing of Chuck Reyome and Scott Schlingheyde, as well as the powerhouse vocals of Isaac Wilson and the lethal rhythm section of Jim Wilson (bass) and Robert Landers (drums).   "Into Chaos" is six songs of razor-sharp thrash metal with influences from Death Angel, Kreator and Slayer as well as some of the melody and progressive tendencies of early Savatage and Metal Church . Fans of heavy metal and thrash can rejoice in yet another band flying their metal freak flag proudly. From the Ruins are metal through and through.   Release date: July 24, 2020 https://roxxrecords.com/collections/nltm-2019-releases/products/from-the-ruins-into-chaos-2020 Links https://www.facebook.com/FromtheruinsNV/ https://www.reverbnation.com/FromtheRuins https://www.instagram.com/from_the_ruins_reno/

Lucid Conformity - “Architects Of Madness” Reviewed By WOM! - @thebeast

Lucid Conformity - “Architects Of Madness” Reviewed By WOM! Check it out here by going to this link: https://worldofmetalmag.com/wom-reviews-vampire-deathcraeft-devastation-inc-exiled-on-earth-sintax-callamity-callamity-lucid-conformity/ Apparently, we are facing a British duo that likes to express themselves through death / thrash metal in a non-linear way - that is, things are not always what is expected, with some surprises such as the melody in “Man Made Messiah ”. The band says that this is really their identity, the mixture of different genres that come together in “Architects Of Madness”. Thankfully, it doesn't always work - not all materialized ideas prove to be good. The proof is exactly on the cover whose idea is good, materialization, not really. Interesting, despite its limitations. 6.5 / 10 Fernando Ferreira After a couple of years in the making, Nottinghams newly formed Crushing Metal machine, Lucid Conformity unleash their debut full-length album 'Architects of Madness' which is available to download/stream as of 1st MAY! "We have been writing this album on an off over the last couple of years and now we have decided to finally bring this machine off of the ground and get the gears rolling. It is a perfect mixture of our many influences in the metal genre with lots of mechanical tight riffage, a brutal barrage of aggressive vocals, sweeping solos and melodic singing too! The full package is there and it is a taster of what's to come in the future for the band as we have already begun the writing process for album no.2" - Says Frontman Dale. ARCHITECTS OF MADNESS WILL BE RELEASED VIA RECHARGER RECORDS MAY 1st 2020! Guitarist Tom states - "The Album 'Architects of Madness' is a love child of all things mechanically brutal in metal music! Merging styles of many influences such as Chunky tight riffage in the vein of Fear Factory/Divine Heresy/Decapitated, with melodic sweeps and of course a generous helping of that classic Death metal battery that we love! We're of course happy with the result and we can't wait to get cracking on with further releases, and finally hitting the stage with our live line up in hopefully the near future! " Lucid Conformity will be hitting the stages worldwide in 2021 to promote the Release of Architects of Madness soon before entering the studio again.
