Finnish melodic punk rock band Revoltone has released a new single "Who Do We Think We Are". The song is about the state of the world in 2020 as inequality is still a matter that people face every day, and honest appreciation towards other human beings seems to be a bit too uncommon thing to face.

Revoltone backgrounds the release: "The song is about how the world suffering with racism, discrimination and unequality still in 2020. How can it be so hard to learn from history, listen and respect others regardless of their gender, culture, religion or sexuality?
Who Do We Think We Are - questions the issue that who is wrong or right? How has the right to decide that?"
Revoltone members have a colorful history with music and different bands. They have tons of experience with playing sweaty gigs, raw tours and recording songs for various albums. Revoltone is a four peace with current and ex-members from bands like Fumble, One Morning Left, Dashbone. All this has driven us to give birth to the message and the sound of Revoltone.
The sound and attitude we want to hear in this often too disharmonic world.

From the Ruins - Into Chaos - Reviewed By Metal Temple - @thebeast
From the Ruins - Into Chaos - Reviewed By Metal Temple! Check it out here at this link:
http://www.metal-temple.com/site/catalogues/entry/reviews/cd_3/f_2/from-the-ruins-into.htm
FROM THE RUINS is a Thrash Metal band from Reno, Nevada formed in 2015 when the two guitarists started jamming together. After adding the rest of the members over the next couple of years, they started honing their sound. Fast forward to 2020 and their debut EP is now on the streets, wreaking havoc. Independently released on June 19, 2020 in physical format, No Life ‘Til Metal Records is handling the digital realm. With six songs running an almost perfect 30 minutes, this is a quick listen that will stick with you.
Right off the bat, you know these guys like guitar driven metal. With a nice, slow, sludge/doom riff as an intro, they rocket into the song and smack you in the face with a brutal riff. “No Honor” is a song that is pissed off at killing, especially when it is someone claiming to be religious slaughtering civilians (except when hiding behind them) and fighting to impose ideals that are not shared by the general population. There is “no glory in taking innocent life”, nor killing women and children. Those persons are the scum of the Earth.
But not to be deterred from killing those who deserve it, “Contract Killer” makes sure you know some people need to be taken out. Remember, killing needs to have honor as discussed above. “We Fight” tackles the topic of fighting for sport in the arena. Death is entertaining and the mob must be placated. The central theme being “Victory or Death”, this is the eternal fight, not just a match for a belt. This is not a competition; it is life at its’ most brutal and visceral.
“Chaos” and “Divided” both leave you with a feeling of doom and possibly horrified at what is to come. Leaders will rule with fear and will take everything you hold dear; freedom being the most important. The leaders are coming, it is time to not be divided by fear, but united in the fight against the New World Order. You have to wonder if these guys are reading history books or just watching the news….
The final track on the EP is “Eye For An Eye”, a little ditty about vengeance. This is another good example of their harsh rhythms and killer guitar work. Reminiscent of the FLOTSAM AND JETSAM song “I Live, You Die”, the attitude of song is I will prevail. The songs do not sound like each other, but they have the same feel, same attitude, same outcome. Make no mistake, these guys are here to claim victory.
FROM THE RUINS is a guitar driven band, but don’t discount the rhythm section or the vocalist. Instead, be happy those guitarists found other musicians with the same desires and skills. Every member of this band has a place and fits in well. It took them five years to put out their first recording, and they spent that time wisely. They are well rehearsed and tight knit. This is a really good thrash metal record.

NoLifeTilMetal Records is proud to be releasing the new album by FROM THE RUINS titled Into Chaos
For fans of Death Angel, Kreator, Metal Church
From the Ruins is an unadulterated and unapologetic thrash metal band! Formed in Reno, Nevada , USA in 2016, the band quickly exploded onto the scene and began obliterating clubs across the West Coast. The bands sound is built around the machine gun riffing of Chuck Reyome and Scott Schlingheyde, as well as the powerhouse vocals of Isaac Wilson and the lethal rhythm section of Jim Wilson (bass) and Robert Landers (drums).
"Into Chaos" is six songs of razor-sharp thrash metal with influences from Death Angel, Kreator and Slayer as well as some of the melody and progressive tendencies of early Savatage and Metal Church . GRIDFAILURE To Release Epicenter MMXX: Quarantine Instrumentals Next Week; "Depression Floodgate" Streaming - @thebeast
New York solo outfit GRIDFAILURE presents Epicenter MMXX: Quarantine Instrumentals , a new EP created in home quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, which continues to spiral out of control as the record sees release.
Epicenter MMXX: Quarantine Instrumentals sees GRIDFAILURE creator David Brenner working without any outside collaborators found on many of the act's releases, and no vocals. Handling all performance, design, and mixing aspects alone, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, several types each of synth/keys and digital drum/percussion setups, acoustic percussion, effects, field recordings, and more are performed in a layered but minimalistic dark ambient/industrial approach.
Without a fraction of hope or light to be found, the record breathes the panic and confusion of living in the epicenter of the pandemic in its onset, the angst and consuming depression the ongoing crisis bears, and the fear and disillusion of what's still to come from a failed and corrupt dystopian-edged government. Heavy, offset biomech beats parallel sorrowful bass flows, pensive soundscapes auras, and unstable guitar and synth/keys dirges. A paranoid-stricken sense of ultimate demoralization is the outcome.
The EP's seven songs were performed, recorded, and mixed by David Brenner at The Compound in Valley Cottage, New York, mastered by Dan Emery at Black Matter Mastering (Kool Keith, Lost Dog Street Band, Thetan), and completed with cover photography by Lisa Haas and Brenner with manipulation and design by Brenner.

Ironstone: Australian Progressive Metal Band Release New Video/Single Hollow - @thebeast
Australian Progressive Metal Band IRONSTONE releases Hollow. They state:
“We’re thrilled to present 'Hollow’, the third single from our debut EP, Prophecy. The song addresses one of the largest challenges facing our generation today... the state of the Earth’s ecology. This topic evokes a range of emotions, from anger and despair through to disbelief and sadness. Despite this, Hollow is about hope and the part we need to play in affecting our future for the better."
Hollow’s lyrics caution against a path of ongoing greed and excess and cynically invite the listener to ‘gorge upon the bounty’ without considering anyone else or the consequences of their actions, giving a healthy dose of clarity in a reverse psychology package.
Hollow has a sound that is as nuanced as the message it delivers. The guitars while conveying frustration and rage are offset by carefully placed ambient elements. The whole song fluctuates between bursts of percussive, aggressive guitar, technical drumming and beautiful melodies that overflow with emotional tension. All of this culminates in a big build-up and pay-off to help drive the message home!
The video for Hollow features orange and blue lighting, giving it a jarring, dramatic theme. Individual shots are complemented by graphics, glitches, and symbols, giving the clip a frantic atmosphere that helps to convey a feeling of urgency.
Hollow was mixed and mastered by Chris Themelco of Monolith Studios, Melbourne.
IRONSTONE are:
Dan Charlton - Lead Vocals
Edward Warren - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Aidan Kalms - Rhythm Guitar
Oliver Hosking - Bass Guitar
Jackson Whyte - Drums, Vocals
IRONSTONE is a progressive metal band from Bendigo, Australia. With influences coming from a range of modern metal genres, their music features the duality of clean and distorted vocals, djent driven riffs and breakdowns, atmospheric layers and catchy choruses. The result is a contemporary metal sound that is sophisticated, melodic and hard-hitting.
