SÖNUS Unleash New Single “Pagan Woman” First Offering from Upcoming Album Planes of Torment - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SÖNUS Unleash New Single “Pagan Woman”
First Offering from Upcoming Album Planes of Torment

Release Date: February 14, 2026
Genre: Hard Rock, Stoner Rock, New Wave of Classic Rock
FFO: Led Zeppelin, The Cult, Uriah Heep

SÖNUS return with “Pagan Woman,” a hypnotic and hard-hitting new single that marks the opening chapter of their forthcoming album Planes of Torment . Set for release on February 14, 2026, the track serves as both invocation and warning, pulling the listener into a heavy metal pilgrimage shaped by loss, obsession, and transformation.

Rooted in the towering legacy of classic hard rock and early heavy metal, “Pagan Woman” fuses massive, blues-soaked riffs, sensual and ritualistic rhythms, and raw, commanding vocals. Drawing influence from bands like Led Zeppelin, The Cult, Uriah Heep, and Mountain, the song explores the unraveling of love and desire through themes of decay and renewal, destruction and rebirth. Heartbreak becomes ceremony. Longing becomes power.

Recorded live in the studio, “Pagan Woman” captures the primal force of a band playing without a safety net. Every note bleeds urgency, channeling obsession and awakening with the grit and grandeur of rock’s golden age. As the first track unveiled from Planes of Torment , it sets the tone for an album forged through hardship, resilience, and an unbreakable belief in the power of Rock.

SÖNUS is the vision of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter David Wachsman , following the Doom Charts–topping success of 2022’s Usurper of the Universe . After a period of personal collapse and reinvention, Wachsman assembled a formidable lineup to bring Planes of Torment to life. The album is the result of more than three years of relentless effort, literally shaped by blood, sweat, and tears.

Planes of Torment is a blistering journey through madness, heartbreak, and survival, recorded live to preserve the raw, untamed intensity of the band’s performances. It is heavy, human, and unflinchingly honest. The journey begins with “Pagan Woman.”

HOOK & LACE IGNITE WITH NEW SINGLE “BLAZE” Debut Full-Length Album “Unblossoming” Arrives in 2026 - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HOOK & LACE IGNITE WITH NEW SINGLE “BLAZE”
Debut Full-Length Album “Unblossoming” Arrives in 2026

UK-based solo artist Hook & Lace , the project of musician and producer Matt Corné , unleashes “Blaze” , the first single from the upcoming full-length album Unblossoming , out Friday, January 30th via Malonche Records .

“Blaze” hits hard and fast, blending technical riffing, crushing groove, soaring vocals, and a space-like atmospheric edge. It’s aggressive without being mindless, melodic without being soft, and completely uninterested in staying inside neat genre lines. Call it progressive metal if you need a label, but Hook & Lace plays by feel, not rules.

Created entirely independently by Corné, Hook & Lace thrives in the tension between noise and catchiness, heaviness and restraint. Fans will hear shades of Meshuggah’s rhythmic precision and Avenged Sevenfold’s melodic ambition , filtered through a singular vision that values impact over trends.

“ Blaze is the first single from Hook & Lace’s upcoming first full-length album, Unblossoming . It’s meant to hit immediately, then stick around. Heavy riffs, groove, atmosphere, and melody all colliding at once.”

Unblossoming marks the next chapter for Hook & Lace, expanding on this balance of intensity and space while continuing to defy easy categorization. Every note on the project was written, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt Corné himself, keeping the sound raw, focused, and fully uncompromised.

Unauthorized Wayne Static & Tera Wray Documentary to Be Self-Funded by Filmmaker Matt Zane - @thebeast

Unauthorized Wayne Static & Tera Wray Documentary to Be Self-Funded by Filmmaker Matt Zane

Los Angeles, CA — Filmmaker Matt Zane has announced that his unauthorized documentary focusing on late STATIC-X frontman Wayne Static and his wife Tera Wray will move forward as a self-funded project , following the failure of its recent crowdfunding campaign.

The campaign faced immediate challenges after the estates of both Wayne Static and Tera Wray publicly objected to the project less than 24 hours before its launch. The following day, Zane was issued a cease-and-desist notice from both estates , prompting significant backlash from fans and contributing to the campaign falling short of its funding goals.

Despite the setback, Zane says he remains committed to completing the documentary and will personally finance the project.

“I’m sure the estates and everyone over in the current STATIC-X camp thought that if they could prevent my funding, that would be the end of it,” said Zane. “I’m here to tell you I’ll move forward regardless and will self-fund this project to ensure that it’s made.”

A segment of the fan community previously accused Zane of pursuing the documentary as a “cash grab.” However, with the project now self-funded, all financial risk rests solely with the filmmaker, and the likelihood of profit is minimal. Zane maintains that financial gain has never been his motivation.

“Wayne and Tera asked me to make this. They were my friends,” Zane explained. “I couldn’t get it done while they were here, but I can do it now. They wanted their truth and their story out there, and they trusted me with all of their video projects. I won't let them down.”

Zane has also expressed a continued desire to engage in dialogue with the families of Wayne Static and Tera Wray regarding the film’s intent.

“I sincerely hope their families watch it,” he said. “I truly believe they will come to understand that my intention was always to honor Wayne and Tera’s wishes.”

Weekly updates on the progress of the documentary will be shared via Matt Zane’s Instagram account:

WitcheR Unveil Fourth Full-Length Album “Öröklét” and Release New Ritualistic Music Video - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WitcheR Unveil Fourth Full-Length Album “Öröklét” and Release New Ritualistic Music Video

Hungarian atmospheric black metal visionaries WitcheR have returned with their fourth full-length album, Öröklét (“Eternity”), now fully available on CD, cassette, and vinyl via Filosofem Records and Beveria Productions .

Building on the darkly immersive legacy of Lélekharang , Öröklét draws listeners into a vast, mystical soundscape where icy black metal grandeur meets the solemn elegance of classical composition. The album features four original compositions alongside a reimagined interpretation of Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 2 – Andante con moto , seamlessly merging atmospheric black metal with centuries-old musical tradition.

Formed in 2010, Gere Karola (synths, vocals) and Neubauer Roland (guitars, drums, vocals) have steadily refined WitcheR’s ritualistic approach, drawing inspiration from Summoning , early Dimmu Borgir , and Wolves in the Throne Room . Their sound balances expansive synth layers, haunting melodies, and lyrical themes rooted in witchcraft, Hungarian folklore, and resistance to the modern world. Previous releases include Csendes domb (2015) and A gyertyák csonkig égnek (2019).

“This record is not merely music. It is a gateway. A moment of realization, when one understands that everything fades… and yet, everything remains eternal.”
— WitcheR

Recorded at Vrag’s Forest Studio between 2023 and 2025, Öröklét was entirely engineered, mixed, and mastered by the band. Artwork was created by Grafit & Hamu Artworks , visually echoing the album’s themes of time, ritual, and transcendence.

In addition to the album’s full release, WitcheR have unveiled a new music video for the title track “Öröklét.” The video stands as a unique visual document, created over the course of an entire year and inspired by ancient pagan rituals tied to solstices, witch traditions, and the natural cycle of the seasons.

“We didn’t just want to make a video clip, we wanted to experience the entire year in the spirit of the song.”
— WitcheR

The year-long creative process allows the video to convey the passage of time itself, reinforcing the song’s central themes of cyclicality, renewal, and the permanence left behind by all things that pass.

“This song and this video are about time. About how everything returns, and nothing passes without leaving a trace.”

For fans of atmospheric and symphonic black metal, Öröklét stands as a defining statement in WitcheR’s catalog, bridging the ephemeral and the eternal with unwavering conviction.

Dimebag Darrell’s Secret Tube Amp Weapon Finally Exposed: The Wizard Behind the Wall of Tone - @thebeast

Dimebag Darrell’s Secret Tone: How Tubes, Solid-State, and Rack Gear Made Pantera’s Sound Legendary

For decades, guitar players obsessed over how Dimebag Darrell achieved that monstrous Pantera tone using only solid-state amps. Randall heads became almost mythical—kids spent years chasing that chainsaw grind, convinced transistor power alone was the secret.

Turns out, there was more happening behind the curtain. Dimebag wasn’t just playing solid-state. He was stacking tube amps, rack gear, and solid-state heads to craft his signature tone. And nobody knew—until Vinnie Paul finally revealed some of the secrets.

Wizard Tube Amps: The Hidden Ingredient

Wizard Amplifiers, a boutique Canadian tube brand, were a “secret weapon” in Dimebag’s studio arsenal. According to Vinnie Paul, Wizard heads were used to layer his sound on nearly every major Pantera album , including:

Cowboys From Hell

Vulgar Display of Power

The Great Southern Trendkill

Instead of replacing the Randall solid-state heads, Dimebag blended them with the Wizard Metal series. The result? The Randall provided razor-sharp attack, while the Wizard added harmonic depth, roundness, and fullness —a tone that’s impossible to achieve with solid-state alone.

Even in the video for Drag the Waters , you can spot a Wizard cab in the background, with the logo taped over to say “Richard,” because Dimebag couldn’t resist a little humor while making history.

Rack Gear: The Secret Sauce Behind the Attack

But tubes weren’t the whole story. Dimebag’s studio rig also relied heavily on rack gear to process his signal before it hit tape. These units weren’t for effects; they were precision tone sculpting tools that made the solid-state attack more surgical and consistent.

The rack units handled:

EQ shaping

Noise reduction

Dynamic tightening

Frequency enhancement

Subtle modulation and delay

Blending the rack-processed signal with Wizard tubes and Randall solid-state heads gave Dimebag that signature three-dimensional, aggressive-but-full tone. This is why guitarists trying to replicate his sound with only a single amp always fell short.

The 101 Proof Era: Tube Tone Front and Center

If you want to hear the Wizard influence in its purest form, check out the two studio tracks on Official Live: 101 Proof :

“Where You Come From”

“I Can’t Hide”

These tracks feature a noticeably thicker, richer guitar tone —less “chainsaw” and more full-bodied—showing exactly what the tube + solid-state + rack formula could deliver.

Why the Secret Stayed Hidden

Dimebag’s identity was deeply tied to Randall solid-state amps . He was the ultimate “solid-state warrior,” the middle finger to tube snobs everywhere. Revealing the Wizard layer would have undermined the legend.

The truth? Randall heads gave the bite, Wizard tubes gave the body, and rack gear gave the precision. The perfect tone was a studio-crafted, multi-layered beast—and that’s why it took decades for fans to even suspect there was more to the story.

The Big Takeaway

The razor-sharp, gut-punching Pantera tone wasn’t just solid-state magic. It was layered, blended, and processed with Wizard tube amps and rack gear , giving Dimebag the tools to dominate metal history.

For guitarists chasing that tone, the lesson is simple: it’s never just the amp, it’s the whole rig—and the studio wizardry behind it.

Dimebag tricked us all, but he did it to make the music hit harder. And honestly, the legend is even cooler knowing how clever he really was.

Buried Alive in Southern Doom: Burnt Witch Lights Up The Zach Moonshine Show - @thebeast

Buried Alive in Southern Doom: Burnt Witch Lights Up The Zach Moonshine Show

There is a certain smell to real doom. It is not sandalwood incense or boutique vinyl cleaner. It is cigarettes in a practice space, pawn shop tube amps, and a little swamp rot from the Memphis side of the state line. When it is real, it hits your chest first and your ears second. That is exactly the kind of punishment Jackson’s own Burnt Witch delivered when they rolled into The Zach Moonshine Show for a smoke soaked live interview and the world premiere of their single Bastard.

The band lineup these days is Dustin Morgan on vocals, James Castellaw on guitar, Matt Page on bass, and Myk Robinson behind the kit. Four guys who did not attend the museum of doom to learn how to act like a doom band. They just made the noise that was in their heads and let it go where it needed to go.

How Burnt Witch Came To Be

The origin story is charmingly unpretentious. Dustin and James cooked the idea up as a studio thing. James introduced Dustin to doom, Dustin got hooked, and the next thing you know a project becomes a band. Matt was pulled in because James had known him for nearly twenty years and at some point you have to stop pretending it is casual and just start a band.

The final puzzle piece showed up from an unexpected direction. Myk Robinson, a self described hermit and owner of Black Oak Productions, came to Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest on a press pass just to film bands. He was not a doom guy. Never had been. He caught Sun Mantra’s set, got curious, and next thing he knew he was auditioning for Burnt Witch on drums after answering a drummer wanted post online. He had learned drums years ago because every band he played in kept losing drummers. Old school problem solving at its finest.

The band gives direct credit to Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest for bringing the parts together. Funny how scenes actually work when people show up and participate.

Dialing Tone With Respect For The Ancestors

One topic that kept bouncing back in the interview was gear. Burnt Witch has done their homework. They talked fuzz, tubes, and most importantly doom tone culture. The band called out the Does It Doom channel several times as a resource for tone inspiration and pedal knowledge. Any guitarist who has chased the Electric Wizard or Sleep side of the force knows that the Does It Doom channel and pedal line are practically a textbook for modern doom tone. It was nice hearing younger doom bands say it out loud instead of pretending they invented fuzz last year.

That attention to tone shows up in the recordings. Bastard and Glass Eye hit heavy from two different angles. Bastard is a cinder block. Glass Eye has more motion and rotation. Both crush clean.

The secret weapon is Myk’s insistence on real acoustic drums recorded live in a room. No sample libraries. No trigger grid logic. Doom needs air moving or it just sounds like sludgy MIDI. Myk has a full drum tracking room at his house and teaches Reaper workflow online. He even has a drum editing course through Pro Mix Academy. You can hear the room in the hits and it makes a massive difference.

Why Doom Should Hurt

One of the funniest detours during the interview came when the guys admitted that Burnt Witch used to be called Dope Glitch. They nearly titled the EP Dope Glitch and the first single Dope Glitch. That is the kind of stoner logic that built this genre in the first place and the universe would not have been mad if they kept it. In the end Burnt Witch stuck and the logo art sealed the deal.

Doom is emotional music and it always circles back to Sabbath. The band talked about Sabbath like scripture and Ozzy’s final show like a funeral. That kind of reverence matters. There is no doom without Sabbath and there is no Sabbath without Tony Iommi. The classics are called classics for a reason.

The World Premiere of Bastard

The broadcast climax was the world premiere of Bastard before it officially dropped at midnight. Thick guitars, venom slow grooves, vocals that feel like they are being exhaled through a cloud of cigarette smoke after a long week. Jackson should be proud. Doom is not supposed to save the world. It is supposed to scorch it one riff at a time.

Burnt Witch confirmed the first EP title as Evil Wizard That Smoked Too Much Weed with a release date of February 13. A Friday the 13th drop because sometimes the universe hands you a perfect setup and you would be stupid not to swing at it.

Support Your Local Heavy

If you missed the live broadcast you get a second chance to be crushed. Just do it loud. Doom played quiet is like whiskey cut with Sprite. Pointless.

Burnt Witch proves that scenes are only scenes when real people make real noise. Jackson has something brewing and the rest of Tennessee better pay attention before the western part of the state becomes the doom belt.

Crank loud or do not bother. Support your locals. Support the underground.

ARANDA DROPS NEW SINGLE “YOU DON’T WANNA KNOW” — OUT NOW - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARANDA DROPS NEW SINGLE “YOU DON’T WANNA KNOW” — OUT NOW

https://hypeddit.com/aranda/youdontwannaknow">
https://hypeddit.com/aranda/youdontwannaknow

Oklahoma City hard rock veterans Aranda return with “You Don’t Wanna Know” , a brooding and hook-loaded new single released November 28, 2025 via Astonish Entertainment LLC . Built on towering vocals, emotional punch, and melodic grit, the track lands firmly in the lane for fans of Nothing More, Shinedown, Bad Omens, Foo Fighters, and Pop Evil .

After more than two decades of touring, charting, surviving label shakeups, and turning setbacks into fuel, the Aranda brothers are still pushing forward instead of coasting on nostalgia. “You Don’t Wanna Know” makes that point loud and clear. The song digs into self-doubt, broken trust, and the fear that love won’t survive your own worst traits.

“‘You Don’t Wanna Know’ is a song about being broken to the point that you don't trust anyone to love you past your mistakes in life, but when someone actually does stay, you ask the question of why would you stay after everything I am and have done?” says Dameon Aranda .

The single follows the band’s 2025 collaboration “Punch Out” with A.D.A.M. Music Project , which climbed to #33 on Active Rock radio , extending Aranda’s run of seven Top 40 active rock singles that kicked off back in 2008 with their breakthrough debut. That record delivered “Still in the Dark” and “Whyyawannabringmedown,” the latter famously re-cut by Kelly Clarkson for her platinum album All I Ever Wanted and used as the theme for WWE’s The Bash .

Signing to Wind-up Records, the band hit a commercial high point with Stop the World (2012) , landing three Top 40 singles — “Undone,” “Satisfied,” and “One More Lie” —plus a RadioContraband Indie Artist of the Year nomination . They followed with Not the Same (2015) which debuted at #12 on Billboard’s Heatseekers and earned two more charting singles. Aranda kept their foot on the gas independently with Recollections of a Painted Year (2022) and their 2025 touring cycle.

Road Tested and Battle Proven

True to form, Aranda continues to build their career the old-fashioned way: on the road. The band has shared the stage with Buckcherry, Sevendust, Saving Abel, Theory of a Deadman, Daughtry, 3 Doors Down, Halestorm, Shinedown, Staind, Papa Roach, Stone Temple Pilots , and more while hitting festivals like Rocklahoma (2010) and Rock on the Range (2016) .

To close out 2025 rolling into 2026, Aranda joins The Founder and A.D.A.M. Music Project for a short run of U.S. dates:

2026 Tour Dates
• January 15 — Dallas, TX — RBC
• January 16 — Wichita, KS — Wave
• January 18 — Oklahoma City, OK — Beer City Music Hall

Metal Hammer & Louder Name Distant’s “Nothing Left To Hate” One of the Best New Metal Songs You Need to Hear - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Metal Hammer & Louder Name Distant’s “Nothing Left To Hate” One of the Best New Metal Songs You Need to Hear

Dutch/Slovakian deathcore bruisers Distant are turning heads with their ferocious new single, Nothing Left To Hate , out now via Century Media Records . The track has already earned major acclaim, landing on Metal Hammer and Louder’s lists of the best new metal songs right now—a massive nod to the band’s raw, relentless sound.

"2025 was a seriously big year for deathcore, and 2026 already looks like it'll keep the momentum up. Distant kick things off with the utterly feral Nothing Left To Hate, a track that walks away from modern deathcore's high-end production to get back to the genre's gritty, gruesome roots, pig squeals and all," says Metal Hammer .

The single marks a return to deathcore’s unpolished, brutal essence, packed with crushing riffs, relentless drumming, and guttural vocals that leave no room for compromise. Fans looking for intensity, aggression, and pure chaos will find it all here.

Distant will also be hitting the road in the UK and EU opening for Sylosis , bringing their feral live energy directly to audiences across the continent.

Stream “Nothing Left To Hate” now via Century Media Records and experience the raw power of Distant.

Check it out here:
https://www.loudersound.com/best-new-metal-songs-alter-bridge-hanabie-of-the-lost

The band comments:
“‘Nothing Left To Hate’ is DISTANT at full destructive force. Thicker riffs, deeper grooves, and a raw dive into self-destruction and chaos. This track is built for circle pits, rage workouts, and letting the anger out.”

The release lands just days before DISTANT hit the road with Sylosis for a massive European tour beginning January 16, putting the band in front of thousands of new fans across the continent. The momentum follows an already relentless run, including the Evisceratour across the USA and Canada with Ingested and Ov Sulfur , plus their own Dutch Xmas Special supporting the local scene.

DISTANT have become one of the defining forces in modern European deathcore. Blending brutal death metal, slam, noise, and beatdown with a hyper-dissonant atmosphere of impending doom, the band has evolved far beyond their early metalcore roots formed among friends in Rotterdam and Bratislava. What remains is pure sonic annihilation, refined and weaponized.

BRAVEWORDS FEATURES BABYLON AD’S NEW VIDEO “POWER OF MUSIC” - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BRAVEWORDS FEATURES BABYLON AD’S NEW VIDEO “POWER OF MUSIC”

Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that Bravewords has spotlighted the latest music video from veteran hard rock outfit Babylon AD . The feature highlights the band’s new single “Power Of Music,” taken from their sixth studio album When The World Stops , released September 3, 2025 through Kivel Records and Apocalypse Records .

Written by vocalist and songwriter Derek Davis , “Power Of Music” pays tribute to the artists and genres that shaped him coming up, from Motown and early blues pioneers to the classic and arena rock bands that defined his generation. Musically, the track hits with a melodic high-energy drive while staying true to Babylon AD’s established hard rock grit.

The accompanying video intercuts live shots of the band with archival performance footage from influential artists across decades, reinforcing the single’s theme and title.

Formed in 1987 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Babylon AD originally operated under the name The Persuaders before signing to Arista Records under legendary music executive Clive Davis . Their gold-certified self-titled debut (1990) produced MTV staples “Bang Go The Bells” and “The Kid Goes Wild,” the latter appearing in promotions for RoboCop 2 .

Following the release of their 2024 album Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day , Babylon AD returned to steady touring across the US, UK, and Greece, pushing new momentum for the long-running Bay Area outfit and reaffirming their place among hard rock’s most road-tested survivors.

The Bravewords feature marks another strong media response for the band as they continue supporting When The World Stops .

ARCHFIEND ANNOUNCES NEW CONCEPT ALBUM “LOST FOREVER” OUT NOW! - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARCHFIEND ANNOUNCES NEW CONCEPT ALBUM “LOST FOREVER” OUT NOW!

Midwestern metal outfit Archfiend released its latest album Lost Forever on December 19, 2025 , delivering a hard-driving blend of classic Metal and Hard Rock that nods to legends like Metallica , Megadeth , and Iron Maiden while tackling a story heavier than any riff.

On first spin, Lost Forever comes across as a good-time, fist-in-the-air metal record. But beneath the shredding and hooks lies a concept album centered on the grim realities of human trafficking , tied together through a chapter-based narrative and accompanying visual content.

Frontman Brian Lee sums it up in a way that cuts straight through the noise

“It sounds like a good time hard-driving album when you first listen to it, but then you listen and watch the videos that go along with the album. This album is a concept album about human trafficking. There is a story that plays along with each chapter then you realize this is an album. You can cry too.”

The visual chapters are handled through CGI animation, offering an unusual combo of storytelling and sonic force that doesn’t let listeners (or viewers) off the hook.

No label. No management. No safety net. Archfiend is rolling this release out the old-school way, relying on the strength of the work and word of mouth from the metal community.

For Fans Of: Mechina, Mick Gordon, Fear Factory

Prepare to step into the abyss. Voidmonger, the visionary audiovisual project fusing industrial metal, movement art, fireshow, and narrative storytelling, has officially released their first concept album, Lies of Aquarius . Available on all digital platforms and as a limited vinyl edition, the album is the opening chapter of a three-part saga exploring cosmic justice, human arrogance, and the dark machinations of the universe.

At the center of Voidmonger’s universe is the Juggernaut , a mobile, autonomous tower-stage of fire and steel. Through it, the Preacher—the enigmatic ambassador of the god-like Creator—delivers judgment on humanity’s failings. Accompanied by the Mechanic, the Executor, and the Slaves to the Void, the Preacher enforces the Creator’s sentence: a stark confrontation with the void of eternal emptiness for human hubris and moral transgression.

Lies of Aquarius sets the tone for this intergalactic mythos, combining the crushing power of industrial riffs with cinematic soundscapes and sci-fi storytelling. The album navigates themes of cosmic judgment, the consequences of exploiting faith for personal gain, and the eternal struggle between civilizations that evolve or collapse under the weight of their own sins.

“ Lies of Aquarius is more than music—it’s an experience. It’s the first step into the Voidmonger universe, where sound, story, and spectacle collide,” says Voidmonger’s creator.

Production Credits: Produced and mixed by Otus Hobst, mastered by Jan Zborovjan.

Fans of Mechina, Mick Gordon, and Fear Factory will find themselves at home in Voidmonger’s sonic and narrative depth—a relentless exploration of industrial metal pushed to its most cinematic extremes.

Rotting Christ Announce 2026 North American Tour with Behemoth, Deicide and Immolation - @thebeast

Rotting Christ Announce 2026 North American Tour with Behemoth, Deicide and Immolation

Greek extreme metal legends Rotting Christ are gearing up for a full-scale North American assault in 2026, joining forces with Behemoth, Deicide and Immolation for The Godless IV Tour. After thirty five years in the trenches, Sakis Tolis and company are showing zero interest in slowing down. If anything, they’re swinging harder than ever.

Fresh off the release of their fourteenth studio album Pro Xristou and the massive live set 35 Years of Evil Existence: Live in Lycabettus, the band is now adding live firepower to their already busy schedule. A re-recorded version of their groundbreaking album Aealo is set to drop on January 23, keeping momentum rolling straight into tour season. Metal Injection summed up the current era with blunt admiration: “Even after a mind-blowing thirty five years and fourteen records, Rotting Christ might actually be at their very best right now”.

A True Legends Tour, Not a Nostalgia Trip

The Godless IV trek isn’t one of those “four bands share a poster and nobody remembers who played what” situations. This is a rare alignment of lifers from the early days of extreme metal who actually survived the wars. Between them, these bands built entire subgenres and influenced half of the scene that came after. As Sakis himself put it, this is a run with bands that have been “in the metal scene since its creation” and are still out there playing the real dark stuff.

The tour hits 24 dates across the US and Canada, with Rotting Christ bowing out of select festival plays and location-specific dates. Fans looking for something extra grim should mark Maryland Deathfest on the calendar. That appearance will be Rotting Christ’s first time at MDF and will feature an exclusive old-school set drawn from Thy Mighty Contract, Non Serviam and other early classics from 1989 through 1995. That’s the kind of set most fans assumed would never happen again.

Tickets are available now at the band’s official site.

A Band That Refuses to Fade Out Quietly

While some veteran bands try to coast on name recognition, Rotting Christ continue to write new material that actually moves units and impresses critics. Pro Xristou earned some of the strongest reviews of their career:

Metal Hammer called it “their most accessible – and perhaps most magnificent – album yet”.

No Clean Singing praised its arena-ready sound.

Blabbermouth highlighted the importance of their new live album as a historical document.

Heavy Music HQ noted the band’s stamina, saying they show “no signs of slowing down or stopping any time soon”.

The upcoming Aealo re-recording is also stirring interest. When it dropped in 2010, Aealo pushed cultural and historical influences into black metal long before it became fashionable. Angry Metal Guy noted that it shows the band “thinking outside the box”, while Last Rites highlighted its mythical, geographical flavor — elements the Tolis brothers have always known how to wield without turning their music into a museum exhibit.

What’s Next

Pro Xristou and 35 Years of Evil Existence: Live in Lycabettus are available now through Season of Mist, and Aealo (Re-Recorded) lands January 23. If the current pace is any indication, this next chapter isn’t about victory laps or coffee table retrospectives. It’s about staying creative, staying active and staying dangerous.

And honestly, it’s refreshing to see a legacy band that treats its legacy as fuel instead of a cushion.

Korbo Returns with Ambitious Concept Album Amnésiste; Lead Single “Sans Maintenant” Out Now - @thebeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Korbo Returns with Ambitious Concept Album Amnésiste ; Lead Single “Sans Maintenant” Out Now

French progressive metal innovators Korbo are back with their highly-anticipated follow-up to 2024’s debut 6ème Extinction . Their new album, Amnésiste , drops March 13th, 2026 , continuing the band’s exploration of progressive metal’s boundless possibilities. Ahead of the album, the lead single “Sans Maintenant” has already arrived January 16th , with its official video releasing January 23rd .

Formed in 2018 by guitarists Aaron Djéla and Léa Périgois , Korbo carved their niche by blending the thunder of metal riffs with the unpredictability of progressive rock. Drawing inspiration from bands like Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, and King Crimson , the band delivers complex, evolving compositions that take listeners on medley-like journeys through shifting musical landscapes.

After establishing a solid lineup in early 2024, Korbo hit the road, performing across French cities including Paris, Lyon, and Strasbourg, and expanding internationally with shows in Luxembourg and Belgium. Their debut album, 6ème Extinction , showcased the band’s signature fusion of melodic, acoustic atmospheres with heavy, distorted riffs, tackling themes from ecological emergency to existential unease.

Amnésiste is a conceptual tour de force exploring the harrowing reality of Alzheimer’s disease. Each track acts as a fragment of a forgotten tale, immersing listeners in a visceral narrative of struggle, anger, and isolation. Across its five vibrant tracks, the album traces the story of a character grappling with memory loss, the quest for meaning, and the emotional void left by absence and longing.

“ Amnésiste is an ambitious and conceptual album that dives us deep down into the hellish state of a person suffering from Alzheimer. This forgotten tale, of which each song is a fragment, draws us ever so deeper into this atmosphere of struggle, anger, loneliness, and wandering,” says Korbo.

Eihwar Announce New Album Hugrheim, Drop Electrifying Video for Lead Single “Nauðiz” - @thebeast

Few acts in the modern pagan world have carved out their own lane quite like Eihwar. Folk N Rock wasn’t exaggerating when they said the duo has been hard to ignore. With their strange brew of Nordic folk ritual and electro-industrial sweat, Eihwar have gone from underground curiosity to full-blown cult force.

After a year hitting battlefields like Wacken Open Air, Midgardsblot and European dates with The Hu, the project now returns to drag the world deeper into what they’ve dubbed Viking War Trance.

Today, Eihwar have officially announced their highly anticipated second full length Hugrheim alongside a new music video for its lead single, “Nauðiz.” The track embodies the band’s signature fusion, hammering out a narrative that transformation isn’t chosen, it’s survived. War drums and horns collide with trance-laced chants until the whole thing feels half ritual and half confrontation.

The video takes that energy even further with a cinematic, live-action aesthetic. Struck down by her most intimate fear, Asrunn faces annihilation before rising through the protective magic of Mark. Fire becomes both executioner and catalyst, turning “Nauðiz” into a tale of sacred trial and rebirth.

Watch the video for “Nauðiz” on Eihwar’s official YouTube channel:

Hugrheim will be released March 13, 2026 via Season of Mist.

Doro Announces Special VIP Celebration for Warlock’s “True as Steel” at Dingbatz - @thebeast

Doro Announces Special VIP Celebration for Warlock’s “True as Steel” at Dingbatz

Heavy metal royalty is coming back to Jersey. Legendary vocalist Doro Pesch, iconic frontwoman of Warlock and widely hailed as The Queen of Metal, has confirmed an exclusive VIP event set for March 21 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. Doors open at 7 PM with the performance kicking off at 8 PM.

This one isn’t just another gig. It marks the anniversary of Warlock’s True as Steel , Doro’s first American album release, originally issued in 1986. That milestone record coincided with her debut promotional tour of the United States, beginning in New York at the height of the eighties metal explosion. For Doro, that first American encounter lit a fuse that never went out.

She fell head over heels for the country, the culture and, most importantly, the passion of U.S. metal fans. The creative spark from that tour would propel Warlock’s next studio assault, 1987’s Triumph and Agony , a landmark release that blasted the band to worldwide prominence. That album carried the now-immortal anthem “All We Are,” a sing-along war cry that became a global hit and a defining moment in Doro’s career. Decades later, it remains a fist-pumping staple of heavy metal history.

The Dingbatz event promises an extremely up-close acoustic performance with full band, offering an intimate look at Warlock classics from this pivotal era along with updated material. For diehards used to stadium volume and pyro, this is a rare chance to hear these songs stripped down to their emotional core.

“ True as Steel is very special to me because it was my first American record and the first time I came to the United States, starting in New York, ” says Doro. “ I fell in love with America immediately. The people, the energy, the metal fans. That experience led directly to Triumph and Agony and ‘All We Are.’ I can’t wait to celebrate this music in such a personal way and spend time with the fans in New Jersey. This will be a night from the heart. ”

VIP Perks and Collectibles

VIP attendees won’t be walking out empty-handed. The package includes:

• VIP laminate credential
• Signed commemorative poster
• Signed photo
• Exclusive jacket patch

On top of that, fans can expect limited-edition merchandise created specifically for this one-night celebration. It won’t be sold online and it won’t pop up on tour later, so collectors are already circling the date.

After the performance, Doro will meet with all VIP ticket holders for photos, additional autographs and a Q&A session. True to her long-running reputation as one of metal’s most fan-centric artists, she’s making sure the night isn’t just nostalgic but personal.

Tickets are limited, and they’re already in motion at dingbatzlive.com . Any metal fan who grew up on Warlock or found Doro later in her solo career knows this doesn’t hit the calendar every year. Clifton just became the spot for old-school heavy metal reverence and a slice of living history.

Bound In Fear Announce New Album ‘A Mind Too Sick To Heal,’ Drop Pulverizing New Single “Three Knee Deep” - @thebeast

Photo credit: Rosa Saul (IG: @disgrace_photography)

UK deathcore wrecking crew Bound In Fear have officially lifted the lid on their third full-length album, A Mind Too Sick To Heal , due out March 13, 2026 through Unique Leader Records . The announcement lands alongside the release of their newest single and video, “Three Knee Deep,” which wastes zero time showing listeners that the band hasn’t softened during their time away from the spotlight.

Pre-orders for A Mind Too Sick To Heal are live now in multiple formats, and for anyone keeping score at home, the album also includes their previously dropped single “Sentenced” and the 2025 track “Chasm.” The band bills this record as their most punishing and personal work yet. Judging from the singles, they’re not kidding.

From Underground Brutality to Festival-Stage Force

Bound In Fear first crawled out of the UK extreme scene in 2016, quickly gaining attention for their downtempo savagery layered with bleak atmospherics and uncomfortably real lyrical themes. Releases like the Regicide EP and 2019’s The Hand of Violence put them on the map, backed by steady touring through the UK and Europe and a growing fanbase hungry for heavier and darker.

Their output in 2021 — the Eternal EP and sophomore LP Penance — pushed deeper into personal territory, detailing vocalist Ben Mason’s upbringing and battles with depression, anger, and abuse. Critics and fans praised the emotional weight, with Distorted Sound Magazine calling Penance “crushing from start to finish.”

Then the band disappeared into the workshop for three years. No gimmicks, no forced hype cycle, just silence. In a time when bands struggle to stay “algorithm relevant,” Bound In Fear did it the old-school way and wrote the heaviest record they could muster.

The New Era Arrives

Now in 2026, the group is ready to re-emerge armed with A Mind Too Sick To Heal , which they describe as:

“A crushing statement of intent... our signature suffocating blend of down-tempo brutality and emotional uncomfortable torment... our most punishing and personal album yet. A visceral descent into darkness that won’t loosen its grip.”

Honestly, it’s refreshing hearing a band not trying to sell sunshine. Metal was never supposed to be polite.

Live Plans

Bound In Fear will be hitting the legendary Bloodstock Festival in the UK on August 8, 2026 , which feels like a fitting battleground for this new era.

Lineup

Ben Mason – Vocals
Steven Hunt – Guitar
Sam Mitchell – Bass
Kim Hughes – Drums
