Hard rock and metalcore heavyweights Devil In Disguise returned to the frontlines on October 8, 2025 with the release of their powerful new EP, “Never Meant,” via DI Records . After five years of silence following their 2019 breakout single “Purge,” the band came back swinging with a release that proves they never lost their edge.
“Never Meant” is not just a collection of songs. It is a hard-earned chapter carved out of real-life setbacks, hard lessons, and relentless determination. Across the EP, crushing riffs collide with soaring melodies and emotionally charged vocals, delivering a sound that feels both battle-tested and forward-driven.
The record dives into themes of regret, resilience, self-reflection, and redemption. It confronts the moments that almost break you and flips them into fuel. This is heavy music built on substance, not trends. The kind you crank loud and feel in your chest.
Produced by Devil In Disguise alongside Jay Kirkendall and Miami Dolphin, “Never Meant” sharpens the band’s signature blend of hard rock hooks and metalcore aggression. Fans of Breaking Benjamin , Bullet for My Valentine , and Three Days Grace will find themselves right at home in the EP’s high-impact sound.
“This EP represents growth,” the band shares. “It’s about owning your mistakes, facing your darkest moments, and realizing that even when things feel never meant to be, you can still rewrite the ending.”
Early support from CharmMusic, Noise Disruption Mag, and Discomfort-Wings.com praised the EP’s emotional weight and polished modern metal edge, reinforcing that Devil In Disguise are not just back. They are reloaded.
“Never Meant” is streaming now on all major platforms.

PHASERIP Unleashes Debut Full-Length Album Out of Phase – Out Now - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHASERIP Unleashes Debut Full-Length Album Out of Phase – Out Now
Cross-dimensional, cross-continental metal project PHASERIP announces the release of their debut full-length album, Out of Phase , now available on all major streaming platforms
https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/phaserip/out-of-phase
https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/phaserip/out-of-phase
/>
Blending metal, grunge metal, and alternative metal, PHASERIP crafts a soundscape reminiscent of Faith No More, System of a Down, and Soundgarden, while carving out its own heavy, melodic, and cinematic identity. The album’s narrative follows a man ripped into an alternate reality, exploring themes of isolation, displacement, and identity, perfectly captured by the project’s mascot, ‘Phaser Phil,’ an outsider wandering a distorted mirror of our world.
PHASERIP is led by Fresno songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jawsh Willis, who performs most guitars, bass, and keyboards. The core lineup spans the globe: drummer Cezary Borawski and vocalist Oscar Klassen record from Poland (Oscar originally from Mexico), forming the backbone of the project’s sonic intensity.
Out of Phase features an international roster of guest musicians, including Finnish death-metal vocalist Topias Jokipii, Algerian extreme-metal vocalist Redouane Aoumeur, award-winning Japanese guitarist Preston Murdock, Fresno musicians Matthew Banwart and Grayson Nolan, and former bandmates Trevor Bryant, Joey Ayala, and Daniel C. Wallace. Produced and mixed by Facundo at Sweep Blast Studios in Argentina, the album delivers crushing drop-tuned riffs, soaring hooks, and atmospheric storytelling.
PHASERIP also pays tribute to a personal hero with a cover of Black Sabbath’s “After All (The Dead),” honoring the legendary Ronnie James Dio.
Jawsh Willis on the release:
"Out of Phase follows a man who slips into a reality where no one knows him. It’s a metaphor for the way so many of us feel—out of place, unseen, and searching for meaning in a world that doesn’t feel like ours. If you’ve ever woken up in the wrong universe, this album will feel like home."
PHASERIP is self-managed, independent, and distributed via DistroKid.

HUBRIS UNLEASHES RELENTLESS BLACK METAL ONSLAUGHT “ACTS OF SEDITION” - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HUBRIS UNLEASHES RELENTLESS BLACK METAL ONSLAUGHT “ACTS OF SEDITION”
Buffalo, NY — Black metal veterans Hubris are preparing to incinerate the senses of extreme music fans worldwide with their upcoming full-length, Acts of Sedition , set for release on Good Friday, April 3, 2026 .
Since erupting from the Buffalo underground in 2008, Hubris—founded by brothers Hellskald and Lichfiend alongside Melkorpse, with Deragore joining on drums in 2010—has been delivering a high-octane, uncompromising brand of black metal fused with death metal’s punishing intensity. From Shadow Woods Metal Fest IV to tours across the Eastern US supporting appearances at Hell Over Akron and Slutfest , Hubris has left audiences in smoldering ruins with their searing performances. Fans of Gorgoroth, 1349, and Tsjuder will find themselves right at home in the destructive maelstrom that is Hubris.
Acts of Sedition represents the band’s opus: nearly an hour of scalding black metal tracked across multiple states since late 2022, with final mastering completed in 2025. Following the debut single “Lightless Lantern” , hailed by No Clean Singing as “a destructive warzone of bloodthirsty delirium,” the full album promises 54 minutes of relentless drums, razor-sharp riffs, and withering vocals that drive straight to the heart of humanity’s darkest impulses.
The album’s cover art, created by Triple Seis Design (Santiago Jamarillo) , depicts the ruin of a petty tyrant amid the infernal rise of a new dawn—perfectly capturing the atmosphere of Hubris’ sonic onslaught.
Acts of Sedition will be available for preorder on Bandcamp Friday, March 6, 2026 , with the title track made available for listening that same day. Fans who preorder will receive an exclusive Hubris patch . The album officially launches on Good Friday, April 3, 2026 .

Brian Moody Unleashes Brian’s Brain – A Louisville-to-Moscow Metal Journey Bridging 502 Roots With Global Firepower - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brian Moody Unleashes Brian’s Brain – A Louisville-to-Moscow Metal Journey Bridging 502 Roots With Global Firepower
Release Date: November 24, 2023
Artist: Brian Moody
Release Title: Brian’s Brain
Genre: Melodic Heavy Metal / Progressive Metal
FFO: Ozzy Osbourne , Mastodon , In Flames
Rooted in the forests of Kentucky, sharpened in the mountains of Colorado, and forged back home in Louisville, Brian Moody emerges as a one man melodic heavy metal machine with his debut album Brian’s Brain . Writing, recording, and performing every note himself, Moody delivers a riff-driven, atmospheric, and unapologetically heavy statement that blends old-school grit with modern sonic precision.
The record has already started making noise, debuting on LRS 102 , also known as The Walrus, as the “Humpday for the Locals” kickoff track. That early radio support signals what listeners are quickly discovering. This is not a casual side project. It is a fully realized metal experience built with intention, sweat, and studio obsession.
Produced by Brian Moody and mixed and mastered by Theodor Borovski at Slaughtered Studio in Moscow, Russia, Brian’s Brain represents a powerful Louisville-to-Moscow collaboration. The result bridges Bluegrass State heaviness with global production muscle, giving the album both raw authenticity and polished impact.
Sonically, the album hits like classic metal reborn through a modern lens. Think the theatrical weight of Ozzy-era heaviness colliding with the progressive stomp of Mastodon, smashed in the head by the unhinged intensity of Strapping Young Lad . It is melodic yet punishing. Expansive yet razor sharp. Apocalyptic landscapes unfold through layered vocals, riff heavy guitars, and cinematic keyboards that give the record both scale and soul.
Moody describes the release simply:
“This album is the culmination of years of studio obsession, bridging the gap between old-school 502 heavy metal roots and a modern, global production sound.”
That obsession is paying off. As the Platinum campaign launches, studio performance clips are already generating strong engagement, pulling nearly 1,000 views in the first 24 hours and building steady momentum across platforms.
Released independently under Brian Moody Music and self-managed, Brian’s Brain is a statement of creative control and artistic independence. No committee. No compromise. Just pure heavy metal vision executed at a high level.

CASUALLY COMMITTED Return With Infectious New Single “Back To Where We Were” Out Now! - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CASUALLY COMMITTED Return With Infectious New Single “Back To Where We Were” Out Now!
Released February 27, 2026 via DI Records
Rocky Mountain emo is alive and kicking.
Casually Committed are back with their third studio release, “Back To Where We Were,” dropping February 27, 2026. Blending rock, pop punk, and alternative into a high energy, emotionally charged package, the band continues carving out a space that feels both immediate and lasting.
For fans of State Champs , Neck Deep , and The Story So Far , this new single delivers soaring hooks, driving guitars, and the kind of chorus built for packed rooms shouting every word back at the stage.
“Back To Where We Were” captures that restless push for something bigger, something different, only to realize the thing you were chasing was right in front of you the whole time. It is reflective without losing momentum, melodic without losing bite.
Recorded in September 2025, the single was engineered and mixed by Van VerHoeven and mastered by Miro, giving it a polished but punchy finish. Tight instrumentation locks in with purpose while the guitars create both urgency and atmosphere, pushing the track toward a massive, full voiced payoff.
At the center is Sydney Monday, whose vocal performance moves from intimate vulnerability to commanding release. Underneath, Toby Sanders and Ben Sawyer lay down a rock solid rhythmic backbone while Alex Lutes builds dynamic tension that gives every peak real impact.
Live, Casually Committed do not just play songs. They create moments. Their performances transform crowds into participants, turning shared emotion into full on connection.
“Back To Where We Were” stands as the band’s most refined and infectious release to date and further defines their place in today’s modern emo and alternative rock scene.
This is a standalone single.

Polish Metal Innovators Lilla Veneda Drop Two Singles, Expanding the Vision of Primordial Movements - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Polish Metal Innovators Lilla Veneda Drop Two Singles, Expanding the Vision of Primordial Movements
WrocÅ‚aw, Poland — February 27, 2026 — Lilla Veneda, the darkly poetic metal force from Lower Silesia, are stepping into new sonic territory today with the release of two singles, Beyond the Lucid Passage and Biomechanical Algorithm (Synthwave Version) . Both tracks serve as fresh extensions of their critically acclaimed 2024 album Primordial Movements , and mark a bold evolution in the band’s sound.
Founded in 2009 by Virian in WrocÅ‚aw, Lilla Veneda takes their name from the iconic Polish romantic tragedy Lilla Weneda by Juliusz SÅ‚owacki. “We were looking for a name that would be unique but also match the musical atmosphere,” says Virian. “ Lilla Weneda is a dark tragedy immersed in a pagan period, akin to Shakespeare’s works but with a Slavic essence.” Over the years, the band has fused philosophy, science, and poetry into a distinct metal framework, blending ferocity with introspection.
Beyond the Lucid Passage emerges as a transitional single connecting Primordial Movements with the band’s current creative trajectory. Originally recorded during the album sessions, the track was reworked and remixed by PrzemysÅ‚aw Nowak at Impressive-Art Studio to reflect Lilla Veneda’s evolving sonic identity. The single combines modern, rhythm-driven riffs with intense vocals and dense production, while retaining the signature melodic structures that define the band. Lyrically, it delves into inner transformation, consciousness, and humanity’s confrontation with the unknown. The cover artwork, reinterpreted from Primordial Movements by Anna Sobczak, reinforces the conceptual link between the releases.
Meanwhile, Biomechanical Algorithm (Synthwave Version) reimagines one of Lilla Veneda’s standout tracks through a retro-futuristic lens. Wojciech Flumen Kostrzewa’s synth-driven reinterpretation, produced by PrzemysÅ‚aw Nowak, immerses Antris’ original guitar melodies in lush analog synths, hypnotic rhythms, and spacious pads. Virian’s expressive vocals cut through the neon-lit textures, creating a haunting atmosphere reminiscent of ‘80s cinema and modern synthwave icons like Perturbator and Carpenter Brut. The track bridges generations, honoring the band members’ formative influences from the late ‘80s while presenting a contemporary, refined sound.
Both singles are now available across all streaming platforms. Pre-orders for Primordial Movements are available at Szataniec.pl.

Lilla Veneda continues to explore the intersection of darkness and intellect in metal, merging ritualistic, trance-driven intensity with reflective, thought-provoking lyricism. With these releases, the band signals a forward-looking chapter while remaining true to the hauntingly melodic identity that has defined them since 2009.

W.E.B. Unleashes "Morphine for Saints (Live)" Video from Darkness Alive - @thebeast
W.E.B. Unleashes "Morphine for Saints (Live)" Video from Darkness Alive
Greek symphonic extreme metal force W.E.B. has dropped a crushing live video for “Morphine for Saints,” taken from Darkness Alive , their first-ever live album released last week via Metal Blade Records.
The band’s signature blend of drama, extremity, and sheer bloodthirst comes through in full force on the video. W.E.B. thrives on stage, and Darkness Alive captures them at their most commanding, transforming each performance into a relentless display of adrenaline-fueled metal.
Vocalist and guitarist Sakis Prekas explains the significance of today’s video:
“‘Morphine For Saints’ has been a fan favorite from the start. It’s one of the peak moments of every concert—it kicks off with a wall of death and a crowd chanting alone in the middle. It’s the perfect connection between W.E.B. and every audience.”
Watch the live performance video of “Morphine for Saints”
Darkness Alive is available now digitally at metalblade.com/web.
Born to scream, blast, and channel raw emotion, W.E.B. combines darkness, death, and poetry into a visceral live experience. Darkness Alive follows five previous studio albums, including Colosseum (2021), the band’s first release with Metal Blade. This live album documents the lineup of Prekas, Hel Pyre (bass/vocals), and new drummer Vasilis Nanos. Since recording, the band has expanded their sound with the addition of lead guitarist Alex Despotidis and second bassist Babis Kapageridis.
W.E.B. is already working on their next full-length album, promising fans their heaviest and most intense material yet. Prekas concludes:
“It is by far the best material we’ve ever had on a record. All new material must be better, otherwise there’s no reason to release it. Stay Dark.”

Greek symphonic extreme metal force W.E.B. has dropped a crushing live video for “Morphine for Saints,” taken from Darkness Alive , their first-ever live album released last week via Metal Blade Records.

Greek Black Metal Titans Yoth Iria Reissue Landmark Debut As The Flame Withers on Vinyl - @thebeast
Greek Black Metal Titans Yoth Iria Reissue Landmark Debut As The Flame Withers on Vinyl
Pagan Records is set to unleash a piece of Hellenic black metal history with a limited 2026 reissue of Yoth Iria’s seminal debut, As The Flame Withers . Originally released in 2021, this album marked a resurgence of the dark, occult spirit that defined ’90s Greek extreme metal, and now it’s back in a definitive collector’s edition.
This edition is strictly limited to 300 copies and pressed on 12” 180g smoked splatter vinyl, complete with a deluxe gatefold sleeve and printed insert, making it a must-have for collectors and fans of the scene. The recording, engineered at Pentagram Studio with George Emmanuel (Rotting Christ, Septicflesh, Lucifer’s Child), captures the full diabolical majesty of the album, while Harnasash Singh’s cover art seals the visual intensity.
Yoth Iria is the brainchild of two of Greek black metal’s most influential figures: Jim Mutilator, a founding member of both Rotting Christ and Varathron, and The Magus, mastermind of Necromantia and ex-Rotting Christ. Their collaboration on As The Flame Withers blends centuries-old Hellenic occult sensibilities with a forward-looking vision, producing music that is simultaneously ritualistic, crushing, and epic in scope.
Jim Mutilator’s history reads like a blueprint of Greek black metal: from the genre-defining Thy Mighty Contract with Rotting Christ to the swampy, dark atmospheres of Varathron’s His Majesty at the Swamp . The Magus’s work with Necromantia and contributions to Thou Art Lord and Rotting Christ helped define the sound that Yoth Iria channels so fully on this record.
Since The Magus’s departure in 2023, Jim Mutilator has steered Yoth Iria into a bold new era. Their sophomore album, Blazing Inferno (2024, Edged Circle Productions), introduced the haunting vocals of Rustam Shakirzyanov (aka “He”) and earned critical acclaim. Momentum continues as the band has recently signed with Metal Blade Records and is already in the studio crafting their third full-length, slated for Spring 2026.
Fans can also experience Yoth Iria live in 2026, with a European run that includes a confirmed appearance at Poland’s Mystic Festival. This reissue of As The Flame Withers is more than a collector’s item—it’s a reminder of the power and longevity of Greek black metal, and the living legacy of two of its foundational architects.

Brutal Christian death metal force King’s Hammer is locked, loaded, and ready to detonate. - @thebeast
Brutal Christian death metal force King’s Hammer is locked, loaded, and ready to detonate.
On February 27, 2026, the band will unleash their debut full length album, The Color Of The Soul , through a strategic partnership between Broken Curfew Records and Rottweiler Records . It is a calculated strike in a scene that rewards precision and punishes hesitation.
The record arrives hot on the heels of the crushing single “Earth Slam,” released February 13, and builds on the momentum generated by their critically acclaimed 2025 EP To Speak In Tongues . If that EP was the warning shot, The Color Of The Soul is the full barrage.
King’s Hammer doubles down on everything that defines them. Relentless blast beats. Punishing, down-tuned riffs. Vocals that sound like they were dragged up from the abyss. But beneath the sonic violence lies unwavering lyrical conviction rooted in unapologetic Christian faith. There is no compromise here. No softening of edges. No watering down of message.
In today’s hyper-saturated music landscape, where new releases drop every hour and disappear just as fast, this collaboration between Broken Curfew Records and Rottweiler Records is more than a business move. It is a deliberate effort to amplify underground metal that might otherwise get buried in the algorithm. By combining platforms, audiences, and promotional firepower, the two labels are cutting through the noise with something that demands attention.
King’s Hammer stands firmly in the tradition of extreme metal while pushing forward with sharpened production and more disciplined songwriting. The band’s sound is tighter, darker, and more focused than ever. There is an atmosphere here that feels both confrontational and reverent. It is brutal, yes, but it is purposeful. Every riff hits with intent. Every lyric carries weight.
This is not trend chasing. This is not chasing streams. This is conviction forged in distortion.
Prepare for the onslaught on February 27, 2026. The hammer falls soon.

Thy Sanatorium Announce Self-Titled Debut Album Out April 24, 2026 - @thebeast
Thy Sanatorium Announce Self-Titled Debut Album Out April 24, 2026
There’s something cool about a band that lets the music do the talking first and the names come second. No hype circus. No overexposed backstory. Just atmosphere, riffs, and a vision. That’s exactly how Thy Sanatorium are stepping into the spotlight with their self-titled debut, Thy Sanatorium , set for release on April 24, 2026.
The anonymous multi-national collective has been quietly building momentum with three singles that introduced listeners to their horror-drenched fusion of melodic death, black, and gothic metal. Now, with an eight-track full-length, they’re expanding that sonic world into something deeper, darker, and more immersive.
This isn’t just extreme metal for the sake of extremity. The band threads horror through the album as a narrative backbone. The themes feel unsettling but strangely familiar, like flipping through a forgotten nightmare that somehow still hits close to home. There’s a deliberate sense of pacing here. The record moves with intention, balancing raw force with brooding melody and gothic nuance.
The album was produced by founding member and lead guitarist Aries at The Sanatorium Studio, with mastering handled by Colin Davis of VILE at Imperial Mastering. That final polish gives the record clarity without sanding down its edge. It still bites. It just bites clean.
“This all started as a single song that we released just a few months ago,” says Aries. “It began with ‘Torment’, then suddenly here we are. I’m excited for the full album to be out in the world. Everyone involved brought their own talents and unique style. That’s why Thy Sanatorium sounds fresh and a little different, while still staying familiar and respectful to the genres we blend.”
That balance is key. You can hear the reverence for bands like Opeth , Dimmu Borgir , and Children of Bodom , but this isn’t imitation. It’s evolution. The melodic leads cut sharp, the blackened passages bring the frost, and the gothic elements add atmosphere without watering anything down.
Line-up:
Ra – Vocals
Aries – Guitars
Nyx – Guitars & Vocals
Crux – Bass & Vocals
Remus – Piano & Keys
Pyxis – Drums
The self-titled debut Thy Sanatorium drops April 24, 2026 on all major streaming platforms, as well as vinyl and CD formats for those of us who still like to hold the music in our hands. Because some records deserve to be experienced on wax with the lights low and the volume up.

West Tennessee Doom Four-Piece Burnt Witch Unleash Crushing New EP Dopelich - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Tennessee Doom Four-Piece Burnt Witch Unleash Crushing New EP Dopelich
West Tennessee – Rising from the smoke and swamp of West Tennessee, Burnt Witch are dragging slow, crushing riffs straight through the mud with the release of their new EP Dopelich, out now as an independent release as of February 13, 2026.
Burnt Witch is a doom and sludge four-piece dealing in suffocating heaviness, occult atmosphere, and Southern grit. Built on fuzz-drenched bass, monolithic riffing, cavernous drums, and vocals that swing from blues-soaked cleans to unhinged screams, the band channels the oppressive weight of classic doom while keeping one boot planted firmly in Tennessee soil.
Formed from a shared obsession with bands like Electric Wizard, Crowbar, and Eyehategod, Burnt Witch craft songs that feel summoned rather than written. Their sound leans into hypnotic repetition, bleak atmospheres, and grooves that hit like a slow collapse. It is immersive. It is uncomfortable. It lingers.
The band recently caught the attention of Weedian , who featured Burnt Witch with the following praise:
“Burnt Witch is a West Tennessee doom/sludge band delivering crushing low-tuned riffs, occult atmosphere, and slow, punishing heaviness rooted in Southern grit. They bring a unique twist to the doom genre that could only be achieved in the deep south, melding clean bluesy vocals with extreme screams, and groovy stoner riffs with soul crushing slams and spacy leads. From the ritual sacrifice of biker cults, to fortune tellers, to evil wizards with drug problems, you won't wanna miss what Burnt Witch brings to the table.”
That kind of recognition from a respected name in the underground doom community only reinforces what Dopelich proves front to back.
Released February 13, 2026, Dopelich pushes deeper into the smoke. The EP blends sludge-soaked aggression with creeping doom textures that feel both familiar and freshly unearthed. Each track unfolds like a ritual, thick with tension and drenched in distortion.
Early reactions have already started turning heads:
“Move over Electric Wizard, here comes Burnt Witch!”
- Reaper’s Underground, Black Flame Entertainment & Tracks of the Damned Podcast
“Doom is not supposed to save the world. It is supposed to scorch it one riff at a time.”
- Zach Moonshine, Metal Devastation Radio
“Dopelich will take you on a ride that will leave you feeling like you are deep in Occult ritual, begging for more.”
- Cody Gray, Defiler Magazine & Tracks of the Damned Podcast
Burnt Witch have also appeared on The Zach Moonshine Show via Metal Devastation Radio and on Tracks of the Damned Podcast with Reaper, further cementing their presence in the underground heavy scene.
Fans of Dopethrone, Weedeater, Electric Wizard, Crowbar, Eyehategod, Dopelord, Down, Superjoint Ritual, Brainoil, Cough, and Coffinworm will find plenty to sink into here.

UNMERCIFUL Unleashes James “Freight Train” Lee on Vocals for Maryland Deathfest Debut - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UNMERCIFUL Unleashes James “Freight Train” Lee on Vocals for Maryland Deathfest Debut
Kansas death metal powerhouse UNMERCIFUL is set to make their first-ever appearance at Maryland Deathfest 2026 , and they’re bringing a very special guest along for the carnage. James “Freight Train” Lee—renowned for his monumental work with Origin on III , Echoes of Decimation , and Antithesis —will be stepping in on vocals, delivering an unforgettable performance of UNMERCIFUL’s relentless death metal assault.
The band shared the news directly:
“Our first ever performance at Maryland Death Fest is just 3 months away. With that, we want to announce a very special guest that will be performing on vocals. This man is none other than the almighty James ‘Freight Train’ Lee!!! Hearing him performing our material will be something NOT to miss!!
Also, Trynt is still dealing with some health issues, so Andy Vincent will be handling the relentless drum duties. We are in the process of booking some shows around this time (May 20th–May 28th). More information on show dates and venues coming soon.
We look forward to delivering an unforgettably crushing set! We will see you all soon.”
Following the recent tour cancellation with Vitriol and Weeping due to drummer availability, UNMERCIFUL is back stronger than ever, promising fans a blistering return to the stage. Their latest album, Devouring Darkness (Willowtip Records), has already been hailed as a brutal triumph:
“ Devouring Darkness is an unceasing beatdown of a death metal album where technicality takes a backseat to brutality.” – Angry Metal Guy
“Malicious guidance does well to hold their focus tight on bludgeoning brutal death metal here, an ideal ratio of unreal skill and severe impact.” – Mystification Zine
“Unmerciful are among us to blast our ears with Brutal Death Metal at its finest.” – The Headbanging Moose
“A swirl of riffs will wrap themselves around you like a coiled snake, and the drums will cave your head in.” – Dead Rhetoric
With longtime guitarist Jeremy Turner returning and Josh Riley debuting on vocals, UNMERCIFUL continues to define the cutting edge of American death metal. The record was engineered and produced by Clinton Appelhanz at Waveworks Studio, mastered by Alan Douches ( Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal ), with artwork by Santiago Francisco Jaramillo.
Fans can expect crushing new performances and select shows leading up to Maryland Deathfest. UNMERCIFUL’s blend of technical ferocity and unrelenting brutality guarantees that this set will be one for the ages.
Stay tuned for full tour dates and ticket information. Devouring Darkness is available now wherever extreme metal is consumed.

At The Gates Announce Eighth Studio Album The Ghost of a Future Dead; Debut Single "The Fever Mask" Out Now - @thebeast
At The Gates Announce Eighth Studio Album The Ghost of a Future Dead ; Debut Single "The Fever Mask" Out Now
Swedish melodic death metal legends At The Gates have announced their highly anticipated eighth studio album, The Ghost of a Future Dead , set for release on April 24, 2026 via Century Media Records . Pre-orders are officially live, and fans can now get a first taste of the record with the debut single and video, "The Fever Mask."
The follow-up to 2021's adventurous The Nightmare of Being , this album carries a weight of significance as a final tribute to frontman Tomas Lindberg , who tragically passed away in September 2025. Lindberg’s vision and artistry permeate the album, cementing it as a true parting legacy.
Recorded and mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, the album showcases the band's signature blend of ferocious energy and hard-hitting melodic precision. The visual side is equally striking, with artwork by Robert Samsonowitz of rbrt.org .
Speaking about the release, the band shared:
"We are proud to finally share some news about our eighth studio album, 'The Ghost of a Future Dead.' The album will be released on April 24, 2026 – more than two years after it was completed in the studio. As you all know, Tomas Lindberg passed away last year due to complications from his cancer treatment. Over the past few years, we worked closely with Tomas, discussing and refining every detail to ensure nothing was left to chance. In accordance with Tomas' wishes – including the album title, sound mix, track order, artwork, and overall presentation – 'The Ghost of a Future Dead' remains true to form. It combines the ferocious energy and hard-hitting powerful melodies that are the essence of At The Gates. This album is Tomas' legacy."
Fans can stream the album’s opening track "The Fever Mask" now, accompanied by a deeply moving tribute video to Lindberg, assembled by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus . Watch it here:
With The Ghost of a Future Dead , At The Gates not only honor Lindberg’s memory but reaffirm their status as one of melodic death metal’s most influential forces, delivering an album that hits as hard emotionally as it does musically.

Italian Black Metallers Calvana Premiere New Track “Summer Storm” at NoCleanSinging - @thebeast
Italian Black Metallers Calvana Premiere New Track “Summer Storm” at NoCleanSinging
Italian black metal collective Calvana have unveiled their latest track, “Summer Storm” , exclusively at the heavily trafficked portal NoCleanSinging.com. The song is the second glimpse into the band’s highly anticipated third album, Sub Janus , set for an international release on March 20th via Adirondack Black Mass . Fans can stream “Summer Storm” in full exclusively
https://www.nocleansinging.com/2026/02/23/an-ncs-video-premiere-calvana-summer-storm/
/>
Formed in 2015 at the foot of the Calvana massif , Calvana are a band devoted entirely to the raw, monolithic voice of the mountain. Their members remain completely anonymous, allowing the focus to stay on the music and the elemental landscapes it evokes. Their first two releases, the cryptically titled IÉ… (2020) and III┼ (2022) , carved a singular path in black metal, combining primal intensity with a defiant, trend-free approach.
With Sub Janus , Calvana strike again, channeling the unrelenting fury of nature through old-school black metal. The album balances cryogenic stillness with lava-like eruption, maintaining an all-analog sound where each instrument is vital—especially the bass, often overlooked in black metal but here grounding the elemental force of the music. The songwriting moves through hypnotic states of violence, interspersed with grim marches, evoking a stark and desolate landscape that feels both expansive and intimate. Fans of obscure, uncompromising black metal may find echoes of Altar of Perversion , but Calvana’s voice remains uniquely their own.
In addition to “Summer Storm” , the band previously shared “Death of Pan” , available
