Rezet Unleash New Video 'Duck & Cover' Ahead of Upcoming Self-Titled Sixth Album
New Album "Rezet" Out August 30, 2024 via Violent Creek Records
Speed/thrash metal aficionados, get ready for a sonic onslaught! Rezet is set to release their highly anticipated sixth studio album, simply titled "Rezet," on August 30, 2024, via Violent Creek Records. Fans can get an electrifying preview of what's to come with the release of their second single, "Duck & Cover," out now.
For fans of bands like Destruction, Megadeth, Heathen, and Traitor, Rezet's new album promises to deliver the adrenaline-fueled, riff-heavy experience they crave. Hailing from Schleswig in Northern Germany, Rezet has become synonymous with uncompromising thrash metal, blending the ferocity of the genre's classics with a modern twist.
"Rezet" features eleven blistering tracks, including a unique piano intro, showcasing the band's evolution and maturity. The album seamlessly weaves between the golden era of thrash metal and contemporary influences, offering fans a new, devastating experience.
This release marks a new chapter for Rezet, with the addition of string sorcerer Nikolay Atanasov (AGENT STEEL) and bassist Lorenz Kandolf (TRAITOR) to the lineup. They join the band's founder, singer, guitarist, and main composer Ricky Wagner, along with exceptional drummer Bastian "attt" Santen. The result is a lineup that sounds stronger and more energized than ever before.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by the renowned Eike Freese (HELLOWEEN, DEEP PURPLE, HEAVEN SHALL BURN), "Rezet" was partly recorded at the band's own "Rad Toad Studios" in Schleswig-Holstein. The album's dystopian artwork, created by Pär Oloffsson (Exodus, Aborted, Pathology, Traitor, Finsterforst), depicts a mechanical landscape being reclaimed by new life, echoing the album's themes of renewal and aggression.
"This album represents a second spring for Rezet," says the band. "It's honest, direct and bursting with aggressiveness. We've never sounded fresher."
Prepare for a thrash metal revolution as Rezet resets the bar with their self-titled album coming August 30th, 2024.

Press Release: Glasgow-based Metal Band 'Tantrum' Announces "No Place For The Damned" - @thebeast
Release Date: August 30th, 2024
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Glasgow-based Metal Band 'Tantrum' Announces "No Place For The Damned"
TANTRUM, the Glasgow-based metal band known for their classic guitar-driven riffs and thought-provoking lyrics, is set to release their highly anticipated third album, No Place For The Damned, on August 30th. The album, featuring eleven tracks that showcase the band's evolved sound and songwriting prowess, takes listeners on a dark and introspective journey through themes of destruction, inner turmoil, and the search for redemption.
No Place For The Damned opens with the haunting "Manifest Destiny," which explores the devastating impact of the Manhattan Project. The fast-paced track sets the tone for an album that fearlessly tackles complex subjects and emotions and serves as the first part of the band's new Trinity trilogy.
The album's lead single, "The Darkest of Times," is a powerful exploration of the intrusive thoughts that can plague the mind in the moments before sleep. With its driving rhythm and soaring vocals, the song is sure to become a fan favorite and a staple of TANTRUM's live shows.
Other standout tracks include "Minotaur," a traditional British metal-inspired retelling of the classic Greek myth; "W.A.I.L," a poignant look at homelessness and the struggle for compassion; and "The Deepest Line," a haunting exploration of a world where lies manifest as physical scars, with the deepest scar belonging to a person who must repeatedly comfort others with falsehoods.
The album also features the hard-hitting "Hellbound Planet," the second part of the Trinity trilogy, which tackles the urgent issue of climate change and environmental destruction. "Internal Bleeding" is a harrowing portrayal of the effects of gaslighting in a relationship, while "Scarred" delves into the haunting memories and struggles of a person trapped in the aftermath of a loved one's suicide, resulting in their own.
"The Judge" is a dark and brooding track that plays on the double meaning of both the classic comic book character Judge Death and the Grim Reaper himself, with its gang-vocal-driven chorus sure to make it an audience favorite. "Traveller," the final part of the Trinity trilogy, tells the story of a scientist's ill-fated mission to find a new home for humanity, leaving him trapped and alone in space for eternity.
The album's closing track, "The Pit and the Pendulum," is an epic collaboration between Baz Fitzsimmons, Chris Horne, Mark Reid, and Micah Snow. This heavy-metal retelling of Edgar Allan Poe's classic story with an atmospheric intro and explosive crescendo serves as a fitting end to an album that takes listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions.
"No Place For The Damned is our most ambitious and personal album to date," says vocalist Mark Reid. "Each song tells a unique story, but they all come together to create a cohesive narrative about the struggles we face as individuals and as a society. We poured our hearts and souls into this album, and we can't wait for our supporters to experience it."
Guitarist Baz Fitzsimmons adds, "I think this album perfectly captures where Tantrum are as a band now and where we are heading. We have been determined to push ourselves musically, while still retaining the elements that have brought people to our shows. I'm hugely proud of what the band has produced in the past, but this album signals a real step up in songwriting, sound, and direction."
"This album has no doubt been the most challenging and rewarding product that I have had the great pleasure to be a part of," notes bassist Chris Horne. "Hearing the songs come to life during the mixing process, I had listened through them hundreds of times yet I'm still excited to get to listen to them again and again."
No Place For The Damned was recorded between January and May 2024 and features the powerful production work of Chris Horne. The album will be available on CD starting August 30th with streaming services to follow shortly thereafter.

Nattsjäl – ‘Chaosweaver’ - Reviewed By Metal Digest! Check it out here at this link:
https://metal-digest.com/2024/06/26/nattsjal-chaosweaver/
Nattsjäl are a blackened thrash metal band out of Sweden and “Chaosweaver” is their third full-length album. They may be listed as thrash/black metal, but there is so much more going on here as there’s plenty of atmosphere, as well as folk/Viking and trad metal influence. Veteran metal vocalist, Thomas Vikstrom shines, transitioning from raspier black metal vocals to Bruce Dickinson-esque cleans. From piano intro’s, slower melodic guitars, and guest female vocals on certain tracks, Nattsjäl show off the full range of their songwriter abilities. It may sound like there is too much going on here, but they weave it all together expertly to create a truly captivating listening experience.
Release Date: May 10, 2024
FFO: early Månegarm, Slayer, Satyricon

Nattsjäl Unleashes Third Full-Length Album "Chaosweaver"
Prepare for the horrifying and crazy sounds of Nattsjäl from their long-awaited third album, "Chaosweaver," released on May 10, 2024. Originating from Norrtälje, Sweden, Nattsjäl has become a name to be feared in the black/thrash/experimental metal scene.
Nattsjäl's "Chaosweaver" is a perfect mix of bands like early Månegarm, Slayer, and Satyricon. The song is full of aggressive riffs, blistering solos, and haunting atmospheres. The band's fans will be totally transported into the world of the genre where the dark and the chaotic are the main themes.
"Chaosweaver" is going to be the best album of Nattsjäl's career because it features collaborations with famous artists such as the founders of Månegarm, members of Therion, and the founders of bands like Deranged and Sorg. The album is like a trip to the hell hole of Chaosweaver, the not-so-friendly, and his tricks that deal with the themes of darkness, madness, and the occult.
"Chaosweaver" is now on Spotify for the listeners to be in Nattsjäl's dark and chaotic world. Fans can put the album in their playlists and get ready for the trip that is unlike any other.

Mechanical Necrosis Tour Disrupted by Sudden Show Cancellation in Rapid City - @thebeast
The Mechanical Necrosis Tour, featuring the bands Gorgatron , Casket Robbery , and Voraath , hit an unexpected snag on June 20th when their scheduled show in Rapid City, South Dakota, was abruptly canceled by the promoter, Kipple City Productions.
The cancellation occurred due to a misunderstanding regarding the bands' stage plot and input list, which the promoter erroneously interpreted as a demand for additional gear. This miscommunication led to Kipple City Productions canceling the concert without attempting to clarify the issue with the bands or their agents, despite the bands driving eight hours to reach Rapid City. Understandably, the situation has left the bands and their fans frustrated and disappointed.
Adding fuel to the fire, Kipple City Productions took to social media to publicly denounce the bands, their booking agents, and the entire metal genre in an extreme and out-of-touch manner. The promoter's posts quickly garnered widespread backlash from artists across various genres and music fans alike, who condemned his behavior and rallied in support of the bands.
Gorgatron addressed the incident in a social media post, expressing gratitude for the support they received: "Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support and understanding for today’s headache/cancellation with a promoter that decided to not communicate a misunderstanding and completely jumped the shark. ONWARD!!!!"
The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the importance of clear communication and mutual respect in the music industry. It also highlights the strong sense of community within the metal music scene, as fans and fellow artists have shown their solidarity with Gorgatron, Casket Robbery, and Voraath.
Despite this setback, the bands remain undeterred and are committed to continuing their tour with the same energy and passion that has defined their performances so far. The outpouring of support from the music community serves as a testament to the resilience and unity of the metal genre, proving that not even a canceled show can dampen their spirits.
For fans eager to catch the Mechanical Necrosis Tour, keep an eye on the bands' social media channels for updates on upcoming shows and any potential rescheduling of the Rapid City performance. The tour rolls on, stronger than ever, embodying the true spirit of metal.

Press Release: Mass Punishment Release Hard-Hitting New Single "Blood Dirt" - @thebeast
Released on: June 20, 2024
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mass Punishment Release Hard-Hitting New Single "Blood Dirt"
Mass Punishment, the fierce four-piece Metalcore/Extreme Metal band from New Jersey, is proud to announce the release of their latest single, "Blood Dirt." Recorded at Trax East and Bullet Proof Studios in NJ with producer Eric Rachel, and featuring additional post-production work by George Pond at The Bomb Shelter Studio, this powerful track delves into the harrowing realities of the wars in the Middle East, focusing on Operation Iraqi Freedom and the hidden agendas behind the conflict.
"Blood Dirt" tackles the intense and often grim subject matter of the US invasion of Iraq, reflecting on whether the motivations were liberation, revenge, or oil. The song's poignant lyrics, such as "Blood turns the sand to soil," challenge listeners to ponder the true reasons behind the war and its devastating impact on both the region and the world.

Exclusive Interview: Archspire's Dean Lamb Talks "The Everything’s F#*!@D Tour" and Latest Release "Bleed the Future" - @thebeast
We sat down with Dean Lamb from Archspire for an exclusive interview about their current tour! Check out the conversation below:
Can you tell us how "The Everything’s F#*!@D Tour" with Aborted, Carcosa, and Alluvial came about What are you most excited about in this lineup?
So we've been planning this tour for over a year now, and the early stages really started with building the package. We knew we wanted a unique blend of different extreme music, which is something we learned from Despised Icon when we supported them in Europe in 2017. That tour featured Despised Icon, Malevolence, Archspire, and Vulvodynia, which is just a great combination of slam, tech death, hardcore, and deathcore.
For this run, we wanted to bring an array of newer and established bands. Aborted have been touring buddies for many years, Carcosa is an up-and-coming band from Vancouver, Canada, and Alluvial has been crushing it touring with bands like Animals as Leaders lately, so it came together really nicely.
How do you go about planning the setlist for a tour like this, especially with a lineup of such diverse and talented bands?
Well, we're still supporting an album that's nearly three years old at this point, which in music industry years is an eternity. So to keep it fresh, we're playing songs from that album that we've never played live before, which was a real challenge. Turns out this music is really hard to play, hahaha.
What can fans expect from Archspire’s performances on this tour? Any surprises or special elements you’re planning to incorporate?
We know that all the other bands are going to be bringing their absolute best, which means we have to outdo our last headliner. That means bigger production, more on-stage surprises, and really fun (and stupid) crowd interaction. We want people to come to an Archspire show expecting a party, never entirely sure of what's going to happen next. Death metal is a very extreme genre of music, so incorporating unique on-stage ideas is vital to keeping people's attention during a 4+ hour-long concert.
Also, we play Twister at our shows with the audience now, for some reason. Don't ask.
"Bleed the Future" has been well received by fans and critics alike. How has the response to the album influenced your live performances or tour preparations?
Bleed the Future really did help bring us a new wave of fans, and we're still feeling that even years after its release. We have been writing a ton of music lately for the next album, and when we're back home, we'll revise the material a ton. This tour was mostly about giving Bleed the Future one last run before we head into writing hibernation and hopefully have something new for fans in 2025.
Can you share some insights into the creative process behind "Bleed the Future"? How did you approach the songwriting and recording for this album compared to your previous works?
We spent almost two and a half years writing Bleed the Future, six months of which were during the pandemic. Honestly, our writing style hasn't changed much in the history of the band. We still write mostly everything in a room together. We have a system where if one person doesn't like a part, we work with them on making it something that they do like; and if we can't manage to salvage it, then we just scrap it entirely. That writing style is super time-consuming, but our three-day-a-week schedule seems to work pretty well - any more than that would drain you mentally, and wouldn't allow for much reflection and time at home working on parts.
We've continued that writing style, but now our jam spot is completely set up with mics, so once we have an idea, we just track it then and there. Back in the early days, we would do zero demoing of the material; we'd just memorize the parts and go into the studio. I can't imagine ever going back to that; it just doesn't allow you the granular control of such fast and complex ideas. Also, if you listen closely to our first two albums, you might be able to hear all the wrong notes. We tracked most of those albums at night because the studio time was cheaper. So if Tobi and I weren't in the studio together at the same time, we might just forget a part and take a wild guess, which often ended up in us playing conflicting stuff. Man, we were idiots!

Touring can be both exhilarating and challenging. What are some of the biggest challenges you anticipate for "The Everything’s F#*!@D Tour," and how do you plan to overcome them?
The biggest thing to worry about is whether or not the new dumb jokes on stage will bomb, but honestly, if Oli does a bit that falls flat, it just makes us laugh even harder. Also, finding new stage outfits has been a big stress point. I found these sick blazing red blade running shoes that Jared hates. Oli is wearing gold light-up high tops, and Tobi found some awesome radioactive runners. That's probably the hardest thing about touring. The next step is trying to get Jared to find funny shoes, but he's wearing these Skechers that just seem kinda regular, which isn't any fun for anybody.
Come see us on tour through the rest of the month!
