The Biscuit Merchant Unleashes Lyric Video for “Victorious” – Third Track from Upcoming Concept Album Tempora (Out June 13, 2025) - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Biscuit Merchant Unleashes Lyric Video for “Victorious” – Third Track from Upcoming Concept Album Tempora (Out June 13, 2025)
Ann Arbor, MI – The Biscuit Merchant, the genre-defying solo metal project, has just released the official lyric video for “Victorious” , the third single from the upcoming concept album Tempora , dropping June 13, 2025.
Watch the video now:
👉 The Biscuit Merchant – Victorious (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)
“Victorious” tells a crucial part of Tempora’s narrative arc—depicting humanity’s desperate creation of a universe-destroying mega-weapon aimed at annihilating time itself. Sonically, the track is an explosive blend of grinding riffs, thunderous drums, cinematic flair, and an arsenal of metal vocal styles, showcasing the emotional weight and technical precision that define The Biscuit Merchant’s work.
Set to release on June 13, 2025 , Tempora is the tenth installment in the monumental ALPHA series—an ambitious 26-album mega-project where each release represents a letter of the alphabet, meant to be experienced in sequence from A to Z. Fans of Between the Buried and Me , Alkaloid , and Psycroptic will find Tempora both familiar and surprising, thanks to its unique mix of death metal brutality, clean vocals, ‘80s synths, and even a haunting piano ballad.
Previous chapters of the ALPHA saga include Unexplained Wounds , Visible Scars , and When Heart and Mind Collide , each contributing to the larger conceptual universe being built album by album.

Matt Zane Shares Unreleased Clip of Wayne Static from Everyone Dies (Rock Stars Don't Count) - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Matt Zane Shares Unreleased Clip of Wayne Static from Everyone Dies (Rock Stars Don't Count)
August 2024 — Matt Zane has unveiled an unreleased clip of late Static-X frontman Wayne Static, pulled from his personal archives and now featured in the newly released extended cut of the documentary Everyone Dies (Rock Stars Don’t Count) . The controversial film dives deeper than ever into the chaos and legacy surrounding some of rock's most notorious figures.
The never-before-seen footage shows Wayne attending Zane’s world-record-breaking body suspension in 2008 — a wild weekend in Las Vegas that also included Wayne's secret wedding to Tera Wray.
“It was a crazy trip to Vegas. I was set to break the world record for longest body suspension, and Wayne and Tera ended up getting married the day before,” recalls Zane. “No one knew but me. They told me right before I was pierced and strung up.”
The clip captures Wayne's candid thoughts on pain and Zane's extreme act. “It was wild times back then,” Zane adds. “After the suspension, all of us actually attended the AVN Awards together and walked the red carpet. I’m literally still bleeding as we’re taking pics and doing interviews.”
The clip is here at this link:

/>
The extended version of Everyone Dies is available now at EveryoneDiesTheMovie.com , offering new insights, raw moments, and unreleased footage that shine a light on a darker side of rock history.

PUNGENT STENCH – Mucous Secretion DEMO RISES FROM THE TOMB! Out June 20th via Hammerheart Records - @thebeast
PUNGENT STENCH – Mucous Secretion DEMO RISES FROM THE TOMB!
Out June 20th via Hammerheart Records
From the bowels of Vienna’s putrid underground, Pungent Stench returns with a reissue of their infamous 1988 demo Mucous Secretion , landing June 20th on Hammerheart Records . Filthy, raw, and absolutely unhinged—this is death metal in its fetal stage, recorded straight to tape with a ghetto blaster , soaked in slime and sweat.
No studio magic. No overdubs. Just blastbeats, bile, and bone-crushing riffs captured in their crusty rehearsal space. This isn’t nostalgia—it’s necromancy.
The reissue includes the original demo plus unreleased tracks from an April ’88 rehearsal, including the unearthed “Melted Corpse” , heard here for the first time ever . Total necro gold for collectors and anyone worshipping at the altar of old-school death.
💀 TRACKLIST:
Rehearsal Demo – Mucous Secretion
1.Intro – Extreme Deformity
2.Festered Offals
3.Pulsating Protoplasma
4.Pungent Stench
5.Embalmed in Sulphuric Acid
Rehearsal – April 10, 1988
6. In the Vault
7. Mucous Secretion
8. Hypnos
9. Strappado / Incinerator
10. Melted Corpse (previously unreleased)
11. Rip You Without Care
If you crave that rotten, primal filth from death metal’s earliest days— this is essential . Pungent Stench helped build the sewer this scene still crawls through. Now's your chance to own a piece of that festering foundation.

SLAYER’s Kerry King Reflects on His Relationship With Tom Araya: "He's Not the Guy I Started the Band With" - @thebeast
Photo credit: Ryan Segedi (courtesy of Cosa Nostra PR)
In a recent interview with Luiz Cesar Pimentel of Brazil's Cucamonga, SLAYER guitarist Kerry King revealed candid details about his relationship with bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, especially in the aftermath of Jeff Hanneman's death in 2013.
When asked how Hanneman's passing affected his bond with Araya, King responded (via Blabbermouth transcription):
"I think Jeff's passing weighed harder on Tom than it did me. Of course it was horrible, but it really weighed on Tom. I think that's what led to him wanting to retire earlier than me, because I think he felt the band was different."
King explained that despite Araya expressing a sudden interest in playing SLAYER shows again last year, the two have never been personally close outside of the band:
"Just like it was in [the earlier years of] SLAYER, [Tom and I] don't talk on the phone. We rarely text each other. He's not the guy I started the band with. He's a different person. I basically stayed very similar to who I've been in my twenties."
Despite these differences, King insists there’s no bad blood. After SLAYER's reunion shows at Riot Fest and Aftershock Festival in 2023, he and Araya even shared tequila shots backstage:
"We got together after the second one, had a shot after the show. He'll drink tequila and I love tequila, so that's what we had."
How Jeff Hanneman's Death Impacted SLAYER
In January 2011, Jeff Hanneman contracted necrotizing fasciitis — a life-threatening infection — from a spider bite. After numerous surgeries and hospitalizations, Hanneman tragically passed away in 2013 from alcohol-related cirrhosis. His death left an undeniable hole in SLAYER, especially considering his role in writing classics like "Angel of Death" and "South of Heaven."
King acknowledged that Hanneman’s death hit Araya particularly hard, accelerating his desire to leave the relentless touring lifestyle behind.
Why Tom Araya Chose to Retire From SLAYER
In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, King recalled the moment he realized Araya wanted out:
"We were on tour and some kid was interviewing him. He said, 'I've got to get together with Kerry and talk before we talk about the next record.' I was just assuming, 'Oh fuck, what's this going to be?' And it was, 'I'm done.'"
King respected Araya’s decision but admitted it wasn't what he expected.
The physical and emotional wear and tear of the road, combined with a growing desire for a quieter life, contributed to Araya's retirement. Unlike King, who "tolerates fame," Araya has always been more reclusive, much like Hanneman was.
Personality Differences and Political Tensions in SLAYER
Kerry King also pointed out that personality differences were always present in SLAYER:
"Me and Tom have never been on the same page... We're just different people. And together, we made great music and a great live show."
One source of friction came in 2017 when Araya made a controversial political post about then-president Donald Trump using SLAYER’s official Instagram account. King was "super pissed off" but clarified that the political rift alone wasn’t enough to split the band.
"That's what your personal social media is for. You're the only one in this band that gives a shit about this idiot."
King confirmed that neither he, nor fellow bandmates Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph, supported Trump's presidency, highlighting how Araya’s actions misrepresented the rest of the band.
SLAYER's Reunion: A New Chapter, But A Different Band
Prior to SLAYER’s 2024 reunion, Kerry King admitted he hadn’t spoken to Tom Araya since their final farewell show in 2019.
"Not even a text. Not even an email."
However, when the opportunity to perform again arose — including a special Black Sabbath tribute show in Birmingham, UK — both musicians set aside differences to honor SLAYER’s legacy.
King summed it up perfectly:
"We're not going to hang out or anything because we are very different people. And together, we made great music and a great live show."
Conclusion
Kerry King's brutally honest comments about his relationship with Tom Araya offer a raw glimpse into the reality behind one of metal’s most legendary bands. Though they’ve grown apart personally, their ability to reunite for monumental shows proves that SLAYER’s legacy is bigger than any single difference between its members.
Fans eagerly await what’s next, even if it’s clear that SLAYER — and its members — will never be quite the same.

The wait is over. After months of anticipation and a storm of teasers, the new era of GHOST has officially begun. The band’s sixth studio album, SKELETÁ , is out now via Loma Vista Recordings , marking yet another monumental chapter in the band’s ever-evolving legacy.

A Worldwide Phenomenon Reignited
GHOST’s global fanbase—an army of ghouls, outcasts, and loyal disciples—has waited with bated breath, and SKELETÁ delivers in every conceivable way. Released today, April 25th , the album arrives amidst a whirlwind of global celebration.
Earlier this week, the band unveiled the recorded version of the monumental new single "Peacefield" , the track that opens both the album and the explosive live setlist on the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2025 . The single sets the tone for an album that is equal parts theatrical, heavy, melodic, and unmistakably GHOST.
In celebration of the release, nearly 150 record stores worldwide hosted SKELETÁ-Eve Midnight Sales , drawing fans in full costume and spiritual fervor. When the demand overwhelmed physical capacity, GHOST answered the call with a live-streamed “SKELETÁ Rockin’ Eve” , extending the ritual to devotees across the globe.
The Songs That Summoned the Album
Before the full release, GHOST dropped two lead singles that ignited the inferno:
"Satanized" , praised by VICE as a “catchy goth-rock epic”
"Lachryma" , described by PASTE as “economical, vicious, and contemporary,” and dubbed “phantasmagoric” by REVOLVER
Both tracks have dominated streaming charts and stoked anticipation for SKELETÁ 's arrival. GHOST currently boasts more than 10 million monthly Spotify listeners and a rabid YouTube following, proving their reach is as massive as their sound.
Papa V Perpetua Takes the Stage
The launch of the SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR 2025 has been nothing short of historic. The spectacle kicked off on April 15th at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK, with deafening applause greeting the live debut of GHOST’s newest frontman incarnation— Papa V Perpetua .
With arena dates already sold out across the UK and Europe, the tour is set to hit North America beginning July 9 in Baltimore , including the band’s first-ever headlining performance at Madison Square Garden on July 22 .
KERRANG! hailed the Manchester performance as “bones and wings and sparkling and bedazzled macabre glory… f***ing brilliant,” setting the tone for what promises to be GHOST’s most ambitious tour to date.
GTV & Ghoulbangers’ Ball
Adding to the buzz, GHOST has launched GTV , a new digital channel serving up exclusive content from the tour. Hosted by Vanessa Warwick , the Ghoulbangers’ Ball invites fans into the backstage madness, rehearsals, fan rituals, and more—providing a deeper look into the supernatural world of GHOST.
Whether you’re a long-time follower of the clergy or a curious newcomer, SKELETÁ is a sonic cathedral of darkness and light, ready to be explored. From shimmering hooks to apocalyptic grandeur, it’s a celebration of the eerie, the theatrical, and the divine.

ANTI MOZDEBEAST UNLEASHES "VISION III" — A HARROWING EXPOSÉ OF CORRUPTION THROUGH INDUSTRIAL SONIC ART - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANTI MOZDEBEAST UNLEASHES "VISION III" — A HARROWING EXPOSÉ OF CORRUPTION THROUGH INDUSTRIAL SONIC ART
Release Date: May 23, 2025
Genre: Industrial Electronic Metal
FFO: Nine Inch Nails, Joy Division, Puscifer
Label: Self-Released
Produced, Written, and Performed by: Gabriel Palacio
Queens, NY — AntiMozdeBeast, the dark and unrelenting industrial metal force helmed solely by visionary artist Gabriel Palacio, returns with the long-anticipated new release, Vision III , out May 23rd, 2025 .
Crafted entirely by Gabriel—who writes, records, produces, and performs every note— Vision III continues the evolution of AntiMozdeBeast’s brutally honest narrative. Channeling the turmoil of personal loss, existential conflict, and a fierce critique of organized religion and societal control, the album serves as both a sonic weapon and a spiritual reckoning.
Born with congenital heart disease and shaped by a life of surgeries, tragedy, and emotional upheaval, Gabriel Palacio’s art comes from a place of pain transformed into power. Raised in a deeply religious household, Gabriel’s path diverged as he developed his own interpretations of God, good and evil, and the afterlife—visions which now bleed into every layer of his music.
AntiMozdeBeast first emerged in 2019 and made an impression with the release of Vision I via SlipTrick Records. Now fully independent, Gabriel continues his mission to expose the dark underbelly of religion, politics, and modern society with Vision III . With blistering electronics, distorted soundscapes, and harrowing vocal intensity, this release is designed to awaken, provoke, and challenge.
“This is about truth,” says Palacio. “This is about rejecting control and embracing awareness. Art is my sanctuary, and Vision III is my weapon.”
For fans of boundary-pushing sound and philosophy, AntiMozdeBeast is not just a band—it is a movement.
Track listing, videos, and exclusive content will be revealed in the lead-up to the release. Stay tuned.

CHIRONEX UNLEASHES DEBUT ALBUM THE CRUCIBLE OF BRUTAL OPPOSITION — AVAILABLE NOW! - @thebeast
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHIRONEX UNLEASHES DEBUT ALBUM THE CRUCIBLE OF BRUTAL OPPOSITION — AVAILABLE NOW!
A Progressive Death Metal Odyssey for Fans of Devin Townsend, Gojira, and Sylosis
The wait is over. Progressive death metal force Chironex has released their debut album The Crucible Of Brutal Opposition , now available on all major streaming platforms.
Fusing ferocious riffs with cinematic atmospheres and world music influences, Chironex brings a bold and immersive sound for fans of Devin Townsend , Gojira , and Sylosis . Self-produced and fiercely independent, the album is a 10-track voyage through myth, sacrifice, and the brutal beauty of overcoming adversity.
The name Chironex —derived from the Greek word Cheiro (hand) and Latin Nex (murder)—means “the hand of death,” yet for the band, it symbolizes rebirth through struggle . Each track draws on legends, beasts, and battles from global mythology to reflect the sacrifices we all must face in the modern world.
“This album is about facing down the overwhelming — whether mythic or personal — and emerging changed. It’s brutal. It’s beautiful. And it’s ours,” says the band.
The Crucible Of Brutal Opposition was mixed by Donovan Henry and Zach Hobbs at Squarewave Live and mastered by Christopher Kritikos at Southwing Audio — ensuring both sonic clarity and overwhelming heaviness.
This is more than a debut. This is a declaration.

Faith No More’s Uncertain Future: Mike Bordin Opens Up About the Band’s Hiatus and Mike Patton’s Absence - @thebeast
During a recent appearance on the Let There Be Talk podcast hosted by comedian Dean Delray, FAITH NO MORE drummer Mike Bordin broke his silence on the band’s extended absence from the stage — and the complicated state of affairs surrounding frontman Mike Patton. It’s been over three years since the band abruptly canceled its scheduled fall 2021 tour, a move that left fans disappointed and curious about the band’s future. Now, Bordin offers a rare and honest look into the events that led to that decision — and where things stand today.
“We Were Ready”
According to Bordin, the band had spent six months rigorously rehearsing for the 2021 dates, preparing both musically and logistically. “We incredibly sounded phenomenal,” he said. “The bass player said, ‘I've never heard us sound this good. This is how these songs sounded in my mind.’” The excitement and momentum were tangible — until just 36 hours before their first scheduled show, when Patton failed to appear for the only full-band rehearsal. With equipment already en route to the venue, panic set in.
“We go to see him and see what's going on… and it was very clear that he was unable at that point to physically do it,” Bordin recalled. “We made the decision that, ‘Look, we’ve gotta support our guy.’” Despite the massive logistical and financial implications of canceling roughly 75 shows, the band unanimously agreed that Patton’s well-being came first.
“From Unable to Unwilling”
Since then, Patton has slowly returned to the stage — but only with his other project, MR. BUNGLE, performing sporadically over the past couple of years. For Bordin, this change in circumstances has brought a shift in perception. “He's gone from being unable to do the shows to clearly being unwilling to do shows with us. And that's heavy. That's a big difference,” Bordin stated. “We haven’t really had much dialogue on it.”
Though careful not to cast blame, Bordin admitted that the situation has taken an emotional toll. “It kind of hurts my feelings a little bit, but that's personal. That’s a private thing. It’s business… but I can’t force him to do something that he, from where I'm sitting, doesn’t seem to wanna do.”
No Hard Feelings — Just Uncertainty
Despite the frustration, Bordin maintains a tone of gratitude. “I'm grateful for what [Patton has] given to us,” he said. “Certainly am I grateful for the time with Mike Patton? Yeah, because my life would be very different without it.” Yet, when asked about the future, he doesn’t sugarcoat the uncertainty: “Will he be willing to do stuff or not? It's not for me to say.”
The sentiment echoes that of bassist Bill Gould, who told Chile’s Radio Futuro earlier this year, “I honestly don't know. And you don't have to believe me, but there's nothing… Right now we're in a really weird spot.” Even keyboardist Roddy Bottum described the band as being on “semi-permanent hiatus” as far back as October 2023.
Mike Patton’s Perspective
Patton himself has previously spoken candidly about the mental health issues that led to the 2021 cancellations. In interviews with The Guardian and Rolling Stone , he described struggles with agoraphobia, depression, and alcohol abuse exacerbated by pandemic isolation. “I got freaked out by being around people,” he said. “It was right before our first rehearsal, and I just freaked out. I just said, ‘I can’t do it.’”
Although he acknowledged the impact on his bandmates — “They had been rehearsing so [pauses] if I were them I'd be really pissed off at me. And they were.” — Patton also emphasized the importance of prioritizing his mental health: “It was just like, ‘Goddamn it. Maybe I don't need to do this… I gotta take care of myself.’”
Where Do They Go From Here?
FAITH NO MORE hasn't performed live since 2016, and their last studio album, Sol Invictus , came out in 2015. While their 2009 reunion and the years that followed reignited the band’s legacy, the road ahead is uncertain at best. With no clear communication among members and diverging personal paths, the idea of another tour or album remains just that — an idea.
Still, fans can take some solace in knowing that the band’s silence hasn’t been rooted in animosity, but in compassion, struggle, and respect — however painful or complex those dynamics may be.
“Appreciate what you have and don't really trip on what you don't have,” Bordin said. And for now, it seems that’s exactly what FAITH NO MORE’s members — and fans — will have to do.

SAVATAGE Returns to the Stage After 10 Years at Monsters of Rock Festival in Brazil - @thebeast
Legendary progressive metal outfit SAVATAGE made their long-awaited return to the stage after a decade-long absence with a powerful performance at the Monsters of Rock festival in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The show, held at Allianz Parque, was part of a massive lineup that included SCORPIONS, JUDAS PRIEST, EUROPE, OPETH, QUEENSRŸCHE, and STRATOVARIUS—a dream gathering for classic and modern metal fans alike.
The reunion performance marked SAVATAGE’s first live appearance since their historic 2015 set at Wacken Open Air, and fans were treated to a carefully curated setlist that spanned the band’s rich and influential catalog.
🔥 Setlist Highlights & Rare Performances
The night was filled with emotion and nostalgia, as the band dusted off deep cuts that hadn’t been played live in decades:
The Ocean (first time since 1998)
Welcome (first time since 1998)
Jesus Saves
The Wake Of Magellan (first time since 2002)
Dead Winter Dead
Handful Of Rain (first time since 2002)
Chance
Gutter Ballet
Edge Of Thorns
Believe (a poignant tribute to Jon Oliva, with him playing and singing via video as the band joined in after the first chorus)
Sirens (first time since 2003)
Hall Of The Mountain King
🎸 Who's in the Lineup?
The 2025 SAVATAGE touring lineup includes:
Zak Stevens – Lead Vocals
Chris Caffery – Guitar
Al Pitrelli – Guitar
Johnny Lee Middleton – Bass
Jeff Plate – Drums
Paulo Cuevas and Shawn McNair – Touring Keyboardists
Notably absent from the stage was Jon Oliva, the band’s founding vocalist, songwriter, and soul. While he was present in spirit—and even in voice and image during "Believe"—his ongoing health challenges have made live performance impossible at this time.
💔 Where is Jon Oliva?
Oliva has been battling a number of serious health issues in recent years, including a fractured T7 vertebra, multiple sclerosis, and Ménière's disease, which have left him largely immobile and in chronic pain.
In a recent interview with Brazilian journalist Igor Miranda, Jon shared, “I can’t even sing right now because of the pain. I can’t stand for too long, and I need time for my vertebra to heal naturally.” He opted out of spinal surgery after advice from friends and medical professionals who warned against it.
Despite his absence on stage, Oliva remains heavily involved behind the scenes and in the band’s future plans.
🗣️ The Band Speaks: A Rebirth Fueled by the Fans
In a January interview with The Metal Voice, drummer Jeff Plate and guitarist Chris Caffery reflected on the reunion:
“The fanbase never gave up on us,” said Plate. “The band never broke up... We’ve all been active with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, keeping the spirit of SAVATAGE alive through that.”
Caffery added, “After Wacken in 2015, we wanted to keep going. But then Paul O’Neill passed, then COVID hit, then Jon’s injuries... ten years just flew by. We realized we had to do this now before it’s too late.”
🎤 The Legacy Continues
Vocalist Zak Stevens, who joined SAVATAGE in 1992 and recorded landmark albums like Edge of Thorns, Handful of Rain, and Dead Winter Dead, is leading the band’s charge forward on stage. Meanwhile, the bond among Caffery, Pitrelli, Middleton, and Plate—strengthened over years of performing with TSO—is palpable.
“It means a lot for me to be back in that family,” said Caffery. “SAVATAGE was my life for decades. Getting to celebrate what Jon, Paul, and Criss built—it’s beyond emotional.”
⚠️ A Complicated History
SAVATAGE’s journey hasn’t been without turbulence. After the death of Criss Oliva in 1993 and Jon’s personal struggles with addiction, health, and a recent history of legal troubles—including drug-related arrests in 2021 and 2023—many feared the band’s story had quietly ended. But even amid tragedy and chaos, SAVATAGE has remained a name fans chant with unwavering loyalty.
Jon himself reflected back in 2016 after suffering a stroke, saying, “I lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle since I was 18... I enjoyed the ride very much. But there comes a time where you have to make life-changing decisions… which I have.”
🌍 Looking Ahead
With new shows planned across Europe and beyond this spring and summer, and with Jon contributing from the sidelines, SAVATAGE’s return feels less like a reunion and more like a rebirth. There’s no talk yet of a new album, but the spark has been reignited—and with it, hope for a new chapter in the band’s epic saga.
Stay tuned. The Mountain King has stirred once more.
📸 Images and videos from the performance are already spreading across social media, capturing moments fans have waited a decade to witness. SAVATAGE is back. Long live the legacy.
