Formed in 2023, Chronepsis has quickly carved a name for themselves with a sound that merges the brutality of guttural vocals , ground-shaking bass , and scorching technical riffs with razor-sharp precision and dark emotional depth. A Dark, Thrashy Powerhouse


“Ominous One” finds LEACH diving deep into their death-thrash toolkit, blending Gothenburg-style melodic brutality with a sharp modern edge and their own signature DNA. The track kicks off with blackened riffs that nod to old-school Swedish death metal, before shifting into a socio-political steamroller — an emotional outcry against the chaos of today’s noisy political climate.

From Slayer-inspired riffage to soaring solos and an anthemic, irony-tinged chorus that riffs off Emma Lazarus’ The New Colossus , “Ominous One” is a calculated punch to the gut — and a cathartic release for fans of heavy music with brains and bite.

As the band puts it:




“When it comes to the stick, it's strongly Slayer-influenced with the slow pace but signature right-hand ride pounding that doubles when the vocals kick in... The chanting here is also reminiscent of Seasons in the Abyss ... a solo that's just over the top and blends well musically and floats seamlessly into the ending chorus.”




The track was recorded and produced at Studiomega in Varberg, Sweden — a studio known for refining the works of Kreator , Arch Enemy , and Soilwork — with producers Christian Silver and Manne Engström once again behind the boards, bringing “Ominous One” the same high-octane production that powered New Model of Disbelief .

“This will be a first for us in Hungary and Romania, so we are a bit extra excited for those dates. It was a bit of a struggle to find a venue in Budapest, so that was actually a fan reaching out and making all the right connections in order to make it happen. Such an awesome community effort!”

Emerging from the depths of emotional expression and sonic grandeur, The Lucidia Project announce the release of their highly anticipated EP, The Twilight Affliction , available everywhere on June 30th, 2025 . Fusing symphonic metal with alternative, doom, and death metal elements, this six-song release weaves intimate, confessional lyrics through a massive and atmospheric soundscape.

Founded in 2022 by Chase Baldwin (vocals, keyboards) and Benjamin Jacobs (bass), The Lucidia Project blends orchestral arrangements with the weight and grit of heavy music. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Tori Amos , Nightwish , and Katatonia , the band crafts songs that are both crushing and cathartic.

Following their 2022 self-titled demo and their debut EP Requiem in 2023, the band continued evolving with the addition of guitarist Daniel Williams in late 2023. Their 2024 standalone single, “Soul Killer,” signaled a sharp step forward in both production and direction. In January 2025, guitarist Garrett Carroll joined the lineup, and shortly thereafter, Aaron Bedford stepped in on drums to complete the band’s full formation for live performances.

Produced by Danny Meyer (also handling mixing and mastering), with co-production and recording engineering by Chase Baldwin , The Twilight Affliction stands as the band’s most cohesive and emotionally resonant work to date. The release is a testament to the band’s growing sonic identity—moody, orchestral, and unapologetically vulnerable.




“This EP is a journey through the darker corners of the human experience—loss, disillusionment, resilience,” says Baldwin. “It’s not just about grief or despair; it’s about finding clarity in the twilight, even when the light fades.”
