Webb of Deceit, the brainchild of Carl Webb, proudly announces the release of their latest single, "Center Of Your Spine," available now. This electrifying track features the exceptional lead guitar work of renowned virtuoso Jason Aaron Wood, further enriching the project’s evolving sound.

About the Project: Webb of Deceit began as a solo project for Carl Webb, sparked by his experience at the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest. The camaraderie and raw talent he encountered at the fest reignited his passion for creating music. Inspired by the connections he made, Carl began collaborating with fellow musicians, leading to the development of Webb of Deceit’s distinctive sound.

"Center Of Your Spine" follows the release of the first single, "Peace Of Chaos," which features a guest appearance from Brandon Barker of the thrash metal band Crazy Mad Ride. Both tracks are part of the upcoming EP, Evil In Progress, set to drop this fall. While "Peace Of Chaos" showcased Barker's aggressive thrash guitar work, "Center Of Your Spine" highlights Wood's technical brilliance, pushing the boundaries of metal even further.

Production and Collaboration: All songs on Evil In Progress, including "Peace Of Chaos" and "Center Of Your Spine," have been expertly mixed and mastered by Zach Moonshine of Moonraven Studios. Known for his deep involvement in the Tennessee metal scene through the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest, Metal Devastation PR, and Metal Devastation Radio, Zach Moonshine’s production work has been instrumental in bringing Webb of Deceit’s vision to life.

Formed in The Woodlands, Texas in 2005 by singer/songwriter Damen Martin and drummer Matt Burgon, Proverbial Cool Aid originally recorded their self-titled debut album at Houston's Sugarhill Recording Studio between 2005 and 2009. After a brief release on iTunes in 2010, the band went on a 12-year hiatus before re-emerging in 2022 with a re-release of their debut album.

"Proverbial Cool Aid 2023" marks a new chapter for the band, recorded over the past year at Houston's Wire Road Studios by Martin and producer Josh Applebee. With Martin's recent signing to Do It Records in March of 2024, both "2023" and their first self-titled album were re-released under Do It Records/The Orchard label. The band is also proud to announce their signing with Extreme Management Group, a move that will further propel their music to a wider audience.

Fans can expect a mix of raw emotion and refined musicianship in the new album, showcasing the band's growth while maintaining the heartfelt storytelling and dynamic sound that initially earned them a dedicated following.
