2022 is set to be the return of what was one of Christian Rock’s greatest acts of the nineties. This band made their public debut actually being known as Love Life, releasing an album titled “Goodbye Lady Jane” on Blonde Vinyl in 1991. As the band began to progress, they caught the ears of well-established producers John & Dino Elefante, and a new journey was about to begin. Working with the famed producers the band would change their name to Fear Not and release their self-titled album upon the world via Pakaderm Records. The album would garner great reviews and praise from the media and the band would begin playing shows across the US. Unfortunately, as it happens all too often, life got in the way and the band would never actually make it to release a sophomore effort, ultimately disbanding.
Fast forward to 2017 and indie label Roxx Records would search the band out and ultimately start to work on a complete redesign and rerelease of that amazing debut album. In 2017, working in conjunction with the band, that debut album would be beautifully remastered with enhanced artwork and reissued in a limited-edition CD format and for the first time ever on limited edition vinyl. As a result of this, those four original members of Fear would Not embark on a brand-new journey and rekindle that band relationship and start to work on brand new music for the first time in almost 35 years. Added to the fold would be an additional vocalist working with the band by the name of Eddie Green, a seasoned touring vocalist, who previously fronted the metal band 'Even The Dogs'.
Now as a 5 piece the band would record and release their debut music together as a beautiful new EP titled “For The Wounded Heart”. Five brand new tunes for the world to enjoy as this band was back and just beginning a new journey of life, music and ministry for a world that much needs it. “For The Wounded Heart” would get many great reviews and accolades which would spark that fire amongst the band and even get them out into the world to play shows again as a 5 piece.
It's been over 3 years since that first EP, the world had pretty much come to a stop as we dealt with a worldwide pandemic. While that worldwide downtime was going on these guys were dealing with so much adversity in their personal lives, illness, death of loved ones, and so much more we didn’t think anything more would come to fruition. However, all along that troublesome pathway it inspired the band, and they continued writing new music, recording new music and slowly building a brand new full length release to share with this world. And now 2022 will finally see the release of the much anticipated new full length album from the legendary FEAR NOT.
FEAR NOT are set to embark on a new musical journey with the release of their sophomore full length album entitled “Fields of Sorrow”. “Fields of Sorrow” takes the listener on a heavy and heartfelt journey with the band as they prepare to release this full length album of all new music with meaning. Tracks that tackle many of the issues we face and deal with today, with the addition of some heavy and emotional music as your soundtrack, “Fields of Sorrow” will definitely be on repeat play for many of us this year as we continue to navigate life through these troubled times.
Get ready as we prepare to release the brand new album from FEAR NOT!
Today we unveil the brand new cover art and a world premiere lyric video for the second single from the new album. On the heels of the debut single “Struggle” we are very excited to bring you the brand new single which also happens to be the title track of the new album “Fields of Sorrow” we hope you not only enjoy it but request it to be played wherever you listen or stream your music. The new single is on sale now digitally at all your favorite platforms, and has been serviced to radio around the world.
Fields of Sorrow [Lyric Video]

In addition, on September 17th, 2022 a limited edition black vinyl version will be released and limited to only 200 copies worldwide. Playing guitar since his teen years and finally releasing original Instrumental Prog Music, the Debut EP of Apoorv Singh Kathait follows the primal emotions felt by a hypothetical being for the first time.
'The Chronicles of Shredman Singh'
The EP follows the journey of our titular hero “Shredman Singh” who has discovered a way of communicating with other beings with his guitar. We see as he discovers emotions like - Joy - Being happy with the fact that there is now a way for our hypothetical hero to convey his emotions he is joyous and explores the different types of happiness as the song progresses. Rage - But as he progresses, he realizes that there is a steep learning curve and also sees the other ways people can express themselves. Not being content with himself the rage that follows takes different forms as the song goes on. As he runs out of steam, he starts seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Redemption - While reaching the metaphorical end of the tunnel our hero “Shredman Singh” realizes that even though he is limited with the Guitar being his voice, he still can communicate.
The EP is us observing a "sentient being" going through primal emotions of humanity as “IT” starts to become more human and make music along the way. Shredman Singh can now communicate via guitars and also discovers primal emotions like “ Joy”, “Rage” and “Redemption”

DROWNED (Brazil) - Recipe Of Hate - Featured At Expedição CoMMúsica ! Check it out here at this link: https://www.commusica.com.br/2022/05/25/sons-da-resistencia-39/
Release Date: March 25, 2022
FFO: At The Gates, Death, Sepultura
Location: Brazil
Drowned is a Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band based in Belo Horizonte, the same City of Sepultura, Sarcófago, Chakal, Mutilator and more.
The band was formed by Fernando Lima (vocals) in 1994, but just really started regular rehearsals in 1998. Rodrigo Nunes (bass), Beto Loureiro (drums), Oderus and Marcos Amorim (guitars) joined the band and released a demo-tape, “Where dark and Light Divide…”, in 1999. In 2000 Rafael Porto replaced Oderus and this is, incredibly, the same line-up today.
The first album was BONEGRINDER, in 2001, released by legend label Cogumelo Records and Drowned has never stopped. A new album is coming, RECIPE OF HATE, 8th of a two-decade career, including Greyhaze Records USA/EU distribution.
Drowned has a solid place in the Brazilian Metal Scene, with tons of concerts in Brazil and one European Tour.
RECIPE OF HATE is the new album of Drowned – release date programmed: March 25th, 2022, via Cogumelo Records (BRA)/Greyhaze Records (Exterior).
The new album is a back to the roots, the same line-up of the first releases. It’s a full-length with focus in the chaotic reality of Brazil and the World today. Emergent, aggressive, bluntly, no lost words…
Songs and Lyrics speak for themselves, and the sound is what you expect from the band. Politics, preachers, false philosophers, influencers, scientists, denialists, conspiracy theories, Environment, obscurantism, stupidity, scoundrel and more, nothing scapes.
The Recipe of Hate Drowned didn’t develop, but no one will stop the band to transform it in brutal music, as a Brazilian Metal knows how to do.

New Promo: LOCKJAW - Breaking Point - (Heavy Metal) - @thebeast
Release Date: Jun 3, 2022
FFO: Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Chimaira, Mudvayne, Slipknot
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
The Texas metal outfit is ready to make a huge and much overdue comeback.
Lockjaw is a band based in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. he Fear. From the depth and energy of alternative rock down the impactful edge of heavy metal, there are no rules. The group has a rather long history, fueled by the friendship of the band members, who got together to form this band while in high school in the late 90s. The music scene was quite different back then, but just like today, Lockjaw was never interested in chasing trends. These talented musicians had the vision to make their own music and truly give it their all. Lockjaw started making music in 1998, and it didn’t take long for the group to be able to record and release a handful of EPs throughout the local scene. The band’s music earned a solid reputation, and Lockjaw soon grew to the ranks of excellent local bands, on stage and in the studio.
The group is on the verge of making their return with some brand new music! The band hit the studio with famed producer Chris Collier, already well-known for his work with seminal bands such as Korn, as well as Lynch Mob, Prong, and KMX, only to mention a few. Without spoiling anything, let’s just say that these songs depict the band at its best. Instead of releasing a whole record at once, Lockjaw is set to be releasing a handful of singles throughout the years, allowing their releases to seamlessly spread over time and giving the audience a nice constant stream of content.
If you are a fan of artists such as Metallica, Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth, Opeth, and MachineHead, and Slipknot, this one is definitely going to be right up your alley. Production-wise, the band’s new music is just as exciting and crisp as you might expect from such high standards of recording and production.
Find out more about Lockjaw, and do not miss out on the band’s upcoming music, which is going to be available throughout the web’s premier digital streaming platforms.

New Promo: Idol Throne (USA) - The Sibylline Age - (Thrash/Power/Prog Metal) - @thebeast
Release Date: July 12th, 2022
FFO: Heathen, Symphony X, Paladin
Location: Northwest Indiana, U.S.A.
Formed in late 2018 by guitarists Jason Schultz (Wraith, Mind’s Horizon) and Martin Bowman (Farwatch), Idol Throne is a band with a sonic mission and vision; the blending of elements from U.S. Power, Bay-Area Thrash, Neoclassical and Traditional Heavy Metal, combined with a progressive sense of songwriting and a strong focus on melody.
Joined by drummer/percussionist Aaron Grove (Axxios) in early 2019, and vocalist Jake Quintanilla (Mind’s Horizon, Berith) in 2020, the band made the most of the extended downtime caused by the global pandemic and recorded demo “Proof of Life” in the Fall of 2020, which saw release on streaming platforms January 1st, 2021. The 3-song recording serves as an introduction to the band’s sound, and as a small taste of what to expect on the upcoming debut LP “The Sibylline Age” to be released on July 12th 2022.
With the addition of bassist Trevor Kuta (Xenopredator) in the Winter of 2022, and a full docket of live performances scheduled throughout the Midwest, Idol Throne is poised to become a name to know in the modern heavy metal scene.

VIDRES A LA SANG premiere new track at NoCleanSinging.com - features members of OPETH, DOLCH, FOSCOR, WHITE STONES+++ - @thebeast
Today, extreme metal titans Vidres a la Sang premiere the new track "Salveu-me els ulls" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com . The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated fifth album, Fragments de l'esdevenir , set for international release on July 1st via Abstract Emotions . Hear Vidres a la Sang 's "Salveu-me els ulls" in its entirety exclusively HERE .
Vidres a la Sang is an extreme metal band originated in Terrassa (Catalonia). The act has been active for 20 years as of 2022, gaining recognition and a cult following as one of the most recognized and pioneering bands of its genre within the Spanish State.
Now, on July 1st, Vidres a la Sang will release its fifth album, titled Fragments de l’esdevenir , through the veteran and newly resurrected label Abstract Emotions following their 2018 release Set de Sang , a unanimously highly acclaimed release by both press and public that meant a return to their activity as a band after a 10-year-long hiatus.
After this period of idleness, Eloi Boucherie - also known from White Stones, Vidres a la Sang 's mastermind as well as guitarist, vocalist, and producer - decides to rebuild the path of the band during the last two years of pandemic to compose new material comprised of five new songs: five new fragments of the future through the prism of near present, reflection, introspection, complaint, and abhorrence of a society in ever-flowing decadence but also as a homage to the poetry and life chants of the immortal Catalan author Miquel Martí i Pol.
Fragments de l’esdevenir features an exceptional collaboration by Martin Mendez, of Opeth fame, who tracked bass guitar for the album in replacement for the absence of Marcos Garcia, the original member of the band. The recording and official lineup is thus completed by Albert Marti (Foscor, Jade) on lead guitars and Jordi Farre (DOLCH, Rumours, Crippled Black Phoenix, Foscor) on drums.
In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Salveu-me els ulls" exclusively HERE , courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. VULNIFICUS - INVOCATION - Reviewed By Kyle Messick ! Check it out below!
VULNIFICUS – Invocation (2022). The debut EP by new American brutal death metal project Vulnificus is raw, noisy, and grindy brutal death. I really dig how the bass cuts through on this. It’s an intense and frantic release, but that bouncy, tight bass keeps me hooked. It’s quality, fresh sounding stuff that makes me look forward to what they’ll do next. - Kyle Messick
Release Date: June 10, 2022
FFO: Deeds of Flesh, Defeated Sanity, Mortician
Location: USA
Short Bio: VULNIFICUS is a dynamic duo surfacing the roots of brutal death metal from the United States. Formed in the fall of 2021 by W. Sherels - All Instruments (Urotherapy, Epidermolysis) and E.Browne - Vocals (Abolishing the Ignominious), VULNIFICUS attempts to push death metal back to its extreme limits with their debut "INNOMINATION", released November 26, 2021. INNOMINATION was recorded, mixed and mastered at Demolition Studios by W. Sherels with additional recording/mixing of vocals by E. Browne at BWNTWN STN. Drawing comparisons to old Cannibal Corpse, Condemned, Defeated Sanity, Mortician and others, VULNIFICUS signed a deal with New Standard Elite and shortly released their debut single "Induced Rampage". After the overwhelming feedback of "INNOMINATION", VULNIFICUS began to record the follow up to their debut EP the very next month, titled "INVOCATION". Completed at Demolition Studios again, VULNIFICUS blast, grind and shred their way with 5 tracks of audio devastation blending influences from the past and present. Scheduled to release June 2022.

MOTÖRHEAD Guitarist Defends LEMMY Against 'Nazi Sympathizer' Accusations - @thebeast
MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell has shot down a suggestion that the band's late mainman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister was a Nazi sympathizer.
Lemmy had an extensive collection of military and particularly Nazi paraphernalia from World War II, and he had been known to wear Iron Crosses and hats from the German air force. However, he publicly condemned racism, claiming he "only collected the stuff" and "didn't collect the ideas." He explained in an interview: "I've got friends of all colors and religious persuasions. I ain't got a racist bone in my body."
After a MOTÖRHEAD fan from Venezuela praised Lemmy on Twitter on Friday (June 4),calling him "the best rocker in history" despite his "Nazi tendencies," Campbell chimed in, writing: "FYI, Lemmy DID NOT, have any Nazi tendencies. He was a historian."
A short time later, Lemmy 's longtime bandmate in HEADCAT (formerly THE HEAD CAT ), Slim Jim Phantom of THE STRAY CATS , also weighed in, tweeting: " Phil Campbell is 100% correct & I will vouch for this true statement all day long. Best, SJP ". Campbell then thanked Slim Jim Phantom for his words of support, writing: "Thanks Jim , we should know."
In a 2017 interview with Billboard , MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee was asked what Lemmy might have said about the events that took place earlier that year in Charlottesville, Virginia, where a white supremacist protest against the removal of a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee descended into violence that culminated in the death of activist Heather Heyer and injuries to almost two dozen others after a car rammed into a group of counter-protestors.
"Oh, he would have fucking hated it. I can totally speak for him there: He hated that shit," Dee said. "A lot of people judged him on the fact that he collected war stuff. A lot of people did not look behind the curtain. He hated fucking Nazis. He hated stupidity and he was fascinated by the stupidity of the human race. He would probably write some incredible lyrics about it — he thought it was so ridiculous."
More than a decade ago, DISTURBED frontman David Draiman , who is of Jewish descent and has spoken out against anti-Semitism for many years, had strong words for rock musicians who collect Nazi memorabilia. When asked in an interview with Revolver magazine about artists such as Lemmy and SLAYER guitarist Jeff Hanneman who collected Nazi artifacts, Draiman said: "That's super-duper taboo and offensive to me. I don't understand the fascination. It's the most provocative imagery that you can brandish, and that's why people utilize it. And if that's their goal, I guess they're achieving it."
When told that Kilmister defended himself by saying he was just collecting artifacts of war history, Draiman replied: "I don't give a fuck who you are. If you're going to brandish Nazi symbolism, I'm going to have a problem with you because I don't understand how anybody could think it's okay to wear something on their body that symbolizes the annihilation and genocide of my people. I'm not okay with that and there is no excuse and there is no explanation."
Back in 2008, an investigation was reportedly launched into whether Lemmy committed a crime under German law by wearing what appeared to be a Nazi cap in a published photo. The picture in question appeared in a German newspaper prior to the band's July 5, 2008 "Wacken Rocks Seaside" concert in Aurich, Germany with MACHINE HEAD and SAXON .
All "anti-constitutional propaganda" — and specifically any attempt to propagate Nazism — is illegal under article 86 of the German Penal Code. Article 86a also prohibits all "anti-constitutional" symbols, including all Nazi insignia, flags, slogans and salutes.
Speaking to the New York Waste web site, Lemmy stated about his Nazi collection, "I don't only collect Nazi stuff, I collect objects from all the 'axis countries.' Also from countries who aren't even mentioned anymore as former part of the axis. Like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Hungary. Okay, in the end, they all said, 'We're no Nazis' when they saw that the Germans were losing it. But five years before that, they went, 'Yeah!'"
When asked where he gets the objects he collects, Lemmy replied: "The USA is a great place for collecting that shit, 'cause the GIs took everything back to America. They took fucking warehouses full of uniforms, Mercedes staff cars. One guy shipped a Focke Wulf 190 fighter home in pieces and rebuilt it in America. Now he owns the only fucking FW 190 in the world. I used to buy a couple of things in Germany, but now you can't take anymore knives or things back home in a plane. And it's become more relaxed to buy stuff like that [in Germany]. There's five or six stores in Hamburg especially. They're advertising it. What's the point, anyway? It's not a nationalistic kind of thing, I mean, what the fuck you're gonna do? Pretend it never happened? There's airplane model kits of Messerschmidt 109 fighters. Shouldn't you touch them?"
On the subject of whether people should wear uniforms, Lemmy stated: "I'll tell you something about history. From the beginning of time, the bad guys always had the best uniforms. Napoleon, the Confederates, the Nazis. They all had killer uniforms. I mean, the SS uniform is fucking brilliant! They were the rock stars of that time. What are you gonna do? They just look good. Don't tell me, I'm a Nazi 'cause I have uniforms. In 1967 I had my first black girlfriend and a lot more ever since then. I just don't understand racism; I never thought it was an option."
Lemmy , who celebrated his 70th birthday on December 24, 2015, learned two days later that he was afflicted with an aggressive form of cancer. He died two days later, on December 28, 2015, at his home in Los Angeles.

Remastered Beavis and Butt-Head Episodes Will Include Music Videos - @thebeast
Over 200 remastered episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head are heading to Paramount+, and unlike the titular heroes, the audience is set to score. Paramount has confirmed to Consequence that these updated old episodes will include the original music videos.
Before they became big movie stars, Beavis and Butt-Head spent plenty of time on the couch watching music vids, saying awesome stuff like, “These dudes are pretty cool for a bunch of mimes,” of KISS, or wondering if Yanni is Beavis’ dad. This new brand of music criticism could be found on MTV from 1993 through 1997 (plus a one-season revival in 2011) and was reportedly improvised by creator Mike Judge, who voiced both characters. They belong with the show as much as T.P. belongs with a bunghole, so it’s great to hear that they’ll be included in the jump to Paramount+.
These socially stunted teens have a lot more to look forward to. The new film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe arrives June 23rd, and features the voices of Judge, Gary Cole, Chris Diamantopoulos, Nat Faxon, Brian Huskey, Chi McBride, Tig Notaro, Stephen Root, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, and Jimmy O. Yang. Revisit the trailer now. Via COS

CRISIS BENOIT: Italian death grinders premiere new album "El Culto De La Muerte" At No Clean Singing! - @thebeast
Italian death grinders CRISIS BENOIT will release their debut album "El Culto De La Muerte" on June 10th 2022 via Slaughterhouse Records .
Today, No Clean Singing is premiering the record in full in advance of its release date. Stream it at THIS LOCATION !
CRISIS BENOIT have long been known in the Italian underground scene for their furious mix of punk, grindcore and old school death-black metal, combined with a lyrical concept closely linked to the world of wrestling. The new opus "El Culto De La Muerte" , recorded and produced by Carlo Altobelli at the Toxic Basement Studio and graced by a cover by Ester Cardella, is undoubtedly the most complete and belligerent record of the young Italian act. This first full-length embraces the band’s extreme metal influences more frequently, without forgetting their infamous punk attitude.
The video of the album's lead single, the title track "El Culto De La Muerte" , is now available HERE .
"El Culto De La Muerte" tracklist:
01. Macabre Coffin Cremation
02. Awekened Corpses Desperation
03. Deadlifting Cadavers
04. Tornado Of Thousand Broken Light Tubes
05. Kneeling Reverse Piledriver But Your Skull Exploded In Fragments
06. El Culto De La Muerte
07. The Eternal March Of The Dead
08. Raging Bulldozer
09. Teacherous Techniques As Casues Of Death
10 Death Grip In A Bar Fight
11 Back From The Dead
CRISIS BENOIT is a wrestling oriented theme grindcore/death metal band with a punk attitude.
Each member wears a scary luchador mask during live set. The project started in 2016 to combine extreme music with extreme wrestling and extreme horror. After a DIY demo "... just a RAW demo" [2017], Crisis Benoit released through Slaughterhouse Records three EPs: "Violence Era" [2018], "Icon of Violence" [2018], "Night of The Living Deathmatches" [2019]. The new album "El Culto De La Muerte" is going to be released soon.
CRISIS BENOIT is a natural born live act: from 2017 to 2020, the band performed several gigs in Italia, 9 European tours and one Mexican tour (June 2019).
CRISIS BENOIT wrote the entrance theme for the maltese pro wrestler Gianni Valletta (All Japan Pro Wrestling), for the Italian hardcore tag team Urban Guerrilla, and for the Mexican extreme wrestling federation Zona23.
Some of their songs are part of the soundtrack of “Kami No Virusu” a cult cyberpunk movie.
The band collaborated with “Rise Underground Pro Wrestling” for a music/deathmatch show in Leeds (UK).
The band members remain anonymous. According to Mexican lucha libre tradition they use pseudonyms: El Terrible (drum/vocals), El Canibal (guitars) and Aidu Ientus (bass).
They played in several bands such as Calvary, Ass Ache (the very first Italian grindcore act), Vatican City Syndrome, Lacerater, Repressione, Cerebral Extinction, Cinerarium, Orcrist, Brutal mutilation, Pagan place, Dismhal, Oracles, Morning Flame, 2MinutaDreka, Devoured by Vermin, A Place for Murder.

Claim HG - In Your Face -Reviewed By Metal Digest ! Check it out here at this link: https://metal-digest.com/2022/05/16/claim-hg-in-your-face/
Cuba is an idyllic island paradise within the Caribbean Sea and in the modern era of metal, the island is throwing its hat in the ring with Claim HG, the Cuban thrash metal band who added the HG onto their name earlier this year before releasing their debut album ‘In Your Face’.
Claim HG are a band which have been raised on thrash metal and with ‘In Your Face’, they’re going to tell you all about it because they’re going to spend just under 35 minutes regurgitating everything they know. Through tracks such as ‘Fight’, ‘Death Awakening’ and ‘The Call’, Claim HG drag you into their pit with a sound that would appeal to fans of Slayer, Testament and Kreator with some meaty chugging riffage mixed with melodic flourishes and jackhammer drums. However, there are points where this album meanders, ‘Into the Emptiness’ just really doesn’t fit the mould and wouldn’t be out of place on a Gothic/alternative metal album whereas ‘Welcome to the End’ has a meaty staccato riff that wouldn’t be out of place on a metalcore album.
For a debut album, ‘In Your Face’ is a decent offering from Claim HG, there isn’t anything here that is new, but it places a good foundation down for the thrashers to expand on as they push their blend of thrash into the wider world. - Metal Digest
Release Date: April 9th, 2022
FFO: Metallica, Megadeth, Testament
Location: Holguín, Cuba
Claim HG hail from Holguin, Cuba. Four friends spearheading the Cuban metal scene for more than 15 years now. Their style combines heavy, thrash and progressive elements. With more than 400 concerts throughout the island and participating in all rock festivals, Claim HG are considered one of the most relevant acts around. Several recognitions have been achieved such as the Venga la esperanza awards of the Hermanos Saiz Association among others. Stay tuned for their studio debut and a live album coming in 2022!

The Strange Seeds - Plant - Reviewed by Metal Integral ! Check it out here at this link: http://www.metal-integral.com/fr/chroniques/8288/the-strange-seeds/chronique-plant.html
A simple look at the colourful illustration of this first album, not to mention the logo, the name of the band and the title of the record: you do not have to be a great cleric to understand from the outset that the four members of THE STRANGE SEEDS have an inveterate love for Rock as it was practiced between 1965 and 1975, with a particular appetite for Blues Rock and Psychedelic Rock. And yet, the group was born at the beginning of 2020 in Passau, a medium-sized city in Bavaria! Over the course of jams, the four friends decided to formalize somewhat this passion for this period that saw the development of Blues Rock, soon enriched by the acid scents of psychedelia, then hardened by the burning embrace of Hard Rock.
The formula remains simple, in accordance with the fundamentals of Blues Rock: rather short formats – three to four minutes, except the beautiful Gardens Of Marrakech which culminates at 6'39 -, short and incisive riffs, thickened by an agile and muscular bass, brief guitar solos, favoring expressiveness over technical exuberance, a dry and flexible drum playing, a clear song, a little nasal. In order to enrich the overall sound, the group completes its rhythms with the presence of a thick and warm organ, sometimes taking a solo of good quality.
The structure of the pieces remains quite classical, with brief instrumental introduction, verse, chorus, and we put the cover back, with the brief intrusions of the solos. This demonstrates in passing that THE STRANGE SEEDS has retained from psychedelic Rock only a certain coloration in the sound, rather than adventurous instrumental explorations. Between a rather ugly back approach, sensual groove and nervousness under control, we enjoy a warm, comforting music, without giving in to ease. In the small game of references, we can evoke the most subtle side of Jimi HENDRIX, the limpid Blues Rock of FREE, the richness of sound of BLIND FAITH, the melodic attractiveness of the beginnings of BAD COMPANY, the nervousness of STEPPENWOLF, the scoundrel charm of HUMBLE PIE ... Only references of good taste, in short. And a Plant that brings a retro, pleasant, comforting pleasure. Satisfactory first harvest... when will the second one? - Metal Integral
Release Date: April 15th, 2021
FFO: Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Cream, Jimi Hendrix
Location: Passau, Bavaria, Germany
"We are The Strange Seeds from Passau, Germany. We started jamming together in 2020. We play a blend of acid, psychedelic, and hard rock. We’re inspired by the Greats of the 60s and 70s - Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, Santana. Every moment we share on stage is a moment of unspoken bliss. Our mantras are peace, love, acceptance - and a damn good soundtrack to spend the night with."
