SLASHDANCE Offer Up A Spooky Homage To 90’s Industrial w/ Music Video “Everything Goes With Black” - @thebeast

ICYMI: Dan Cadera is now releasing a video for the title track off  “Everything Goes With Black” , his initial offering from his solo project  Slashdance . Started a year before the Covid-19 pandemic, but slowed down on completion because of it, he finally got to release the industrial/goth/post-punk album he had been putting off for way too long. The song kicks into high gear with a relentless industrial rock beat straight from the early ’90s. Overall, it is an ode to Cadera’s favourite colour and a love letter to Ministry. The authentic sound of the era was recreated using period-specific samplers and vintage digital guitar effects. Most of the video was shot across Japan just before the pandemic, as well as at Cadera’s studio. The music video for  “Everything Goes With Black”  can be watched via its premiere on  BrutalResonance  HERE .  As the solo studio project was conceived during the pandemic, this is the first album Cadera has released under the  Slashdance  name. It has received rave reviews from fans already, as Cadera quotes, it’s really a love letter to the late 80’s/early 90’s industrial rock he grew up on and he hopes it brings people warm fuzzy memories of the loud guitars and drum machines of that era. He continues to explain the record: “I think it covers a lot of spooky bases. It’s not typical to have a totally 80’s goth track, followed by relentlessly pounding Industrial rock song followed by a synth-heavy song and back again but hopefully it works for people in a way that’s like listening to a really cool mixtape. I’ve always had good luck writing songs that appeal to a wide audience from goths, to punks to metalheads and everything in between and so far that seems to be the case with this record. People like spooky!” Slashdance ’s goth adjacent, industrial post-punk will interest anyone with a penchant for dark atmospheres, especially those into Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, and Joy Division. The album  “Everything Goes With Black”  was released on November 10, 2020 and  is available at the following links: Slashdance.bandcamp.com ,  Ancient Temple Recordings (Vinyl) Previous Music Video: I Call It Witchcraft -    Track Listing: 1. Slashdance mixes a variety of influences from song to song…. boots firmly planted in early 80’s goth/post-punk on one track then buried in the relentless drum machines and guitar-heavy sounds the defined early 90’s Industrial on the next.

Diabology Interviewed By MHF! - @thebeast

ICYMI: Diabology Interviewed By MHF ! Diabology is a perfect example of why it is so important to introduce younger people to the Arts. Whether it is literature, any type of artwork or in this case music, the impact art has on them and subsequent effect it has on society is immeasurable. Diabology is the result of School of Rock and nurturing friends and family…and a love of Metal didn’t hurt either. Their sound is fast, heavy, a bit dark at times and yes, still maturing. No one is over 18 years old, but you would never know it. Their recently released debut album Nobody Believes Me kicks serious ass and I look forward to seeing what these guys evolve into. We wish them all the best.  Jesse Bergen: guitar and vocals Jack Kleinman: guitar Joseph Mazisyuk: bass Matt Morales: drums  Greetings from MHF and Colorado! How are you guys? Jesse: I'm great! Just holding on tight waiting for my Fauci Ouchie. Jack: Excellent! Joe: I'm good. Matt: I'm doing pretty well. You guys met up through School of Rock. Tell us about those days and how things have transitioned. Jesse: The band was actually formed through School of Rock, but all those other members have left by now. The School of Rock is where I got my start playing music when I was 7 years old. It was a lot of fun, but after a few years, playing the same old covers got boring. I wanted to start writing original music, so at 14 I got some friends from the school who also liked metal together and we formed this band. As for the current lineup... Jack: I met Jesse at a show, and he was looking for a guitarist, so it was a natural agreement. Joe: I found out about the band through my parents who have known Jack's parents for many years. Matt: One of my teachers from an after school program knew Jesse from School of Rock. She ended up inviting me to one of Diabology's shows and the rest is history. Congratulations on Nobody Believes Me. I am sure you are tired of people fixating on your age, but you really do sound polished beyond your years. Tell us about the album. Brag a bit. Jack: Well thank you! We had an absolute blast writing and making that album, glad to hear people enjoying it. Jesse: I think our biggest goal with the album was diversity. We wanted every song to sound unique with traces of different sub-genres throughout. For example, the opening track "The Voices" borders on hardcore punk, which is followed by "Deicide", a more traditional thrasher, before going into "Defiling Innocents" which is full-on melodic black metal. It was a challenge to make the songs different but still cohesive. Matt: The album was fun to record, a new experience and it just felt good being in a studio recording for the first time. Being young has some obvious detriments in the industry, but what are some situations when you have been able to use this to your advantage? Jesse: I'd say people underestimate us a lot, which can be good and bad. We catch a lot of people off guard and exceed expectations. At the same time though, since releasing the album, we noticed a lot of reviews with absolutely no criticisms at all that abruptly end with "They have potential" or "They're good for their age." I don't know if they withhold criticism cause they think we can't handle it, but a lot of the time it feels like they wrote that line before they even listened. It starts to feel like a teacher who won't give an A on the first assignment even if they don't have any criticism.   5. All your lyrics are posted on Bandcamp. Thanks for doing that, by the way; not everyone does. Your songs involve subjects and imagery that other artists (in their own way) have also used. I’m talking artists that are now in their 40’s and even 60’s! From a younger person’s perspective, what is the common thread that links all of us Metalheads, regardless of generation? Jack:I think what unites metalheads is love of metal. It's just as simple as that and everyone who loves metal is a metalhead in my eyes regardless of lifestyle. Jesse: I think that regardless of time or subgenre, all metal has a similar attitude. It has an element of rebellion and aggression, but it also promotes unity and camaraderie. As for our lyrics, I try to find new themes, but of course there are always some images that will always go hand in hand with the aggressive sound of metal: blood, Satan, destruction, etc.  6. For your video for “Seas of Eternity,” which we will post here, you commented all of you were underage when this was filmed. How old are you now? Who is the young kid in the video, the “focal point” for lack of a better term? Is he okay after all that  tormenting?  Tell us about the video. Jesse: We're all 18, except Matt who turns 17 next week. Jack: The kid is my younger brother and had a good time. Neither he nor any other children were harmed at all during the making of that video. I would like to visit the song “Seed of the Prophet.” In part, this song takes on an air of Black Metal. I have listed a few lyrics. Can you expound on them and the song in general? "The seed of the prophet shall seat the throne. And drown in flames, the mountains of man. Through baptismal waters I shall be cleansed. I will be born again." Jesse: The lyrics are about a self-righteous religious leader who believes anyone who doesn't follow his doctrine is unworthy of life. The song is meant to read as a sermon, warning non-believers to convert or perish. It ends with a long guitar solo, and during that I like to picture the man raining his fiery, insane judgement down. 8. Two new songs are available, “The Softest Grave” and “Writhe.” Are these still part of a new album? What are you working on currently? Jesse: They are! Obviously things have been hard with COVID. We had to record those two songs in my living room, and we've had trouble getting together safely to practice. We have been spending a lot of time writing and fine tuning songs though. We hope to start recording the second album before the end of the year. What's the best piece of advice you have been given? Have you used to the fullest? Jesse: My mother always told me that money isn't as important as happiness. I would be much happier making a basic living playing music than making millions as some big corporate hotshot.  Jack: The best advice I've received so far is just to go all in when you make a decision that you're certain of. When you commit to making music, you can achieve a lot more. Matt: My advice was "Don't give up, even if you're exhausted or feel like you are not going anywhere. Don't give up because at the end that hard work will pay off." Joe: Mine is the same as Matt's, just don't give up. As usual, I must ask, if I were to visit Los Angeles, what is the one thing I simply must see? Jack: Come see Diabology. Jesse: The Smell is an awesome non-profit venue that constantly hosts cool shows and supports the underground. If you can stand the stench, I highly recommend a visit. Joe: Pink's Hot Dogs. It is an amazing hot dog place in LA. It is amazing, you must try it. Matt: MeowMeowz is an awesome little store in Pasadena that hosts shows and sells cool clothes and rock/metal memorabilia. We thank you for your time and wish you all the best…with lots of years to come. Any parting words for our readers? Jesse: Buy our shit, stay safe, and rock on! Diabology destroys the polls in December 2020 winning the battle of the bands and becomes band Of The Month for January 2021 with 14,770 total votes! Diabology are a teenage thrash metal band from Los Angeles, CA. Members Jesse Bergen (guitar and vocals), Jack Kleinman (guitar), Joseph Mazisyuk (bass), and Matthew Morales (drums), met up on the rock school circuit. They were united by a love of metal and a desire to break out of the rock school mold to start working on original material. Defying the many subgenres of metal, they choose to simply call their music thrash, a tribute to the old school sounds of the late eighties, with a young and refreshing voice.   The band began playing many well-attended and prestigious gigs around the Los Angeles area, but things really took a turn when they released their debut LP, 'Nobody Believes Me'. Taking the metal world by storm, the album was featured in countless magazines and received a fair share of radio play but the icing on the cake was when their song "Defiling Innocents" made it to the top of Kerrang's American Excess Spotify playlist.  There is no saying where Diabology will go from here. Catch them locally while you still can.  Album Links: https://diabology.bandcamp.com/album/nobody-believes-me https://soundcloud.com/user-113498032/sets/nobody-believes-me Social Media: https://www.facebook.com/Diabology-1735649090085063/   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoRQeXQiH1XOqDyqJG6gPBw   Https://twitter.com/Diabology_band   https://www.reverbnation.com/diabology?profile_view_source=header_icon_nav   https://www.instagram.com/diabologyband/ Nobody Believes Me by Diabology

ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD: Portland Psychedelic Stoner Doom Collective To Release Mystic Goddess Full-Length May 21st Via Small Stone; New Track Streaming + Preorders Available - @thebeast

Stream / Share ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD's “Mystic Goddess”  HERE .   Portland, Oregon based psychedelic stoner doom collective  ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD  will release their   Mystic Goddess  full-length via Small Stone on May 21st!   Forged thanks to a rare 2015 planetary alignment,  ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD  made an immediate impact with a meteor shower of cosmic grooves and high-octane riffs in the galactic vortex where doom, psych, and stoner rock collide. As a live act, they are a force with which to be reckoned and their 2019 debut  Cosmic Riders  has garnered over 300,000 plays and counting on digital streaming sites, including Bandcamp, Spotify, and YouTube.    Eager to take their sound to uncharted regions of the galaxy,  ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD  entered Seattle’s Soundhouse Studios in February 2020 to record with Jack Endino, famed sonic architect of the grunge revolution, and his longtime protégé Mikel Perkins. They emerged through the wormhole with  Mystic Goddess , a forty-three-minute hallucinatory sound excursion through a wide range of styles that keeps listeners engaged while never losing focus or sacrificing flow.    “Raw, powerful, no nonsense production is what we were seeking,” says guitarist Justin Laubscher. After connecting with Endino through a friend and veteran of the grunge wars, Laubscher says the band “scraped up every nickel we could and went for it.”   Recorded, mixed, and mastered in six days,  Mystic Goddess  almost crashed and burned prior to liftoff. Four days in, Endino abruptly fell ill, “wrecked from this weird flu from hell,” according to Laubscher. “At the time, COVID-19 was not yet a thing in the US.” Perkins engineered the final two days of tracking. “Perkins is a legend, stepped in without missing a beat, and we all felt at ease. He entertained our more fringe ideas, the ones up until that point I was apprehensive to present to Jack.” Endino eventually finished the mixes remotely and Perkins is credited as co-producer.    Musically, the new album includes nods to stoner rock titans like the Stooges, Kyuss, and Boris but the band also wasn’t afraid to borrow ideas from Guns ‘N’ Roses and Santana, while deep diving into their usual lyrical fetishes.    “I’m intrigued by psychedelics, esotericism, and conspiracy theories. I love to go deep with secret societies, other dimensions, and all that jazz. So, when you hear the Carl Sagan intro to ‘Cosmic Riders’ or David Icke closing out ‘Mystic Goddess,’ it’s a tribute,” notes Laubscher, “a nod to those dudes who are a creative inspiration for my song writing.”   In advance of the release of  Mystic Goddess ,  ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD  is pleased to unveil the record’s hypnotic opening title track. Vocalist Caleb Weidenbach comments, “I think for us, this song really is in a way a blueprint to our sound. Justin showed up with these killer riffs and I was hooked on the track. A lot of times my lyrics come from a place of feeling and the words often just spill out of my mouth when they are ready. It’s about women who captivate you, it’s about loneliness and those times we feel lost. I was going through some heavy shit at that time and this song pulled out a lot of the feelings.”   Bask in the galactic grooves of “Mystic Goddess” at  THIS LOCATION .   Mystic Goddess , which features cover art by Swedish artist Robin Gnista, will be released on CD and digital formats via Small Stone  with Kozmik Artifactz handling a limited vinyl edition. Find preorder options at  THIS LOCATION .   Mystic Goddess  Track Listing: 1. Mystic Goddess 2. Wasteland 3. Agua Caliente 4. Out Of The Gallows 5. Unholy Trinity 6. MK Ultraviolence 7. Lucifyre 8. "When You're Gone"  is a glimpse of what's to come from the forthcoming, yet to be titled second album. It's a dark love song that finds hope in a horrible situation, musically reflected with the grit and aggression of classic punk rock but with pop undertones of earworm melodies. The track was recorded at award-winning New Scotland Yard Studio in Dartmouth, NS during the summer of 2020. The video can be viewed via  The Bloody Hell 's YouTube channel -  Formed in 2017,  The Bloody Hell  has gotten dirtier and more polished at the same time, with the band infecting fans with their pop-cultural hooks and concepts, while the guitars keep getting louder and the vocals becoming uglier. Suitable for a variety of fans,  The Bloody Hell  cites influences ranging from Misfits, Nirvana and Motorhead, anyone who enjoys a fun and dirty romp with a bull horn of grungy vocals. RockshotsRecords: Signum Draconis To Release Metal Opera of Inferno, From The Divine Comedy by Dante - @thebeast

FYI: On Italy's National Dante Day, March 25th ,  Rockshots Records  announce they will be presenting later in 2021,  Signum Draconis ' heavy metal opera of Inferno, from The Divine Comedy written by Dante Alighieri. Featuring 17 songs by the band all sung in English, the double album is the first in a triptych of the complete work of Dante's magnum opus with  Purgatory  and  Paradise  to follow, and will also feature duets with selected special guest vocalists, narrations of selected chants, and an orchestral accompaniment by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Album Teaser -    Signum Draconis takes their name from the medieval knights' Order of the Dragon, and has opted for a classic 80s-influenced metal sound in homage to the rock and metal icons that inspired them to be musicians, and aim to produce a truly musical, timeless and epic recording that will absorb and reward from repeated and dedicated listening.  Guitarist and composer Oscar Grace reflects on t he history of the project: "The story of Signum Draconis can be said to begin in 2010, after two years crossing what felt like a personal hell, I was sitting in my car gazing at the sky when a message came to me as it were, a vision clear as day: ‘Put The Divine Comedy to music!’ At that moment Signum Draconis was born. I returned home immediately and hunted out an old copy of Dante’s masterpiece I had owned for years and began furiously reading. Two full years of study and research followed, reading and re-reading all three books many times and even traveling to Florence to visit the 13th Century poet’s own house, trying to envisage what it would have been like to be him and the world in which he lived his story. It took t wo years to extract the parts that would form the material for the songs, and a further year working with my good friend Frederick Pollock to compose the lyrics, bringing to each song its own meaning whilst maintaining the thread that binds all the songs together, at all times remaining faithful to the source and paying the utmost respect to the poet Dante with regards to the correct register with perfect meter and rhyme in English.   “I believe Dante’s Inferno perfectly suits the musical style of Heavy Metal, but given the epic scale and cultural importance of Dante’s books, I wanted to bring something else to the music, something that lent grandeur and elegance, and to that end, I began to write parts for a symphony orchestra, in an old-fashioned way, with a fountain pen and sheet music and no new technology to guide my hand." Overall, this project too k four years to compose the music for the band as well as the orchestra and along the way Oscar Grace searched for the companions who would join him on this voyage of grand musical ambitions. The first was Francesco Micieli, the drummer with whom he had already worked on other projects, then Max Morelli to be the voice of the band, and later on, after an arduous search, Oscar Grace found Filippo Martignano for keyboards and Stefano Antonelli on bass. A teaser for the double album can be viewed via   Rockshots Records   YouTube channel  -  More details on the album will be revealed in the coming weeks. SLASHDANCE Offer Up A Spooky Homage To 90’s Industrial w/ Music Video “Everything Goes With Black” - @thebeast

Dan Cadera is now releasing a video for the title track off  “Everything Goes With Black” , his initial offering from his solo project  Slashdance .

FOLLOW ME DARK Interviewed By MHF! - @thebeast

FOLLOW ME DARK Interviewed By MHF ! 1.Greetings from MHF and Colorado! How are you guys?  Fucking cold!  It just snowed here in Grass Valley California.  But just last week we were disc golfing in t-shirts.        Congratulations on the new self-titled album and condolences on releasing it during what is arguably the worst time in history to be starting out. Tell us all about the album…in other words, time to brag a bit.    The band started in 2019 and has mostly played locally here.  We had recorded a few songs, done a radio appearance, and just been involved in the concentrated effort to create a body of songs that we feel are worthy of our time and worthy of the listeners’ time.  We were planning on doing some west coast touring last spring when the quarantines started and we had to cancel a slew of planned shows.  We decided to shift gears and get our material recorded as a good use of the time.  We’re pretty proud of ourselves for sticking it out, and the album is a testament to that.  It represents an entire body of work, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.  And a way to keep us all centered and sane as we’ve been enduring what everyone else in the world has been enduring these last twelve months.   You guys got together in Grass Valley, CA via happenstance and good chemistry. Prior to that (individually) what were guys doing from a music standpoint?  Stephen had just moved here from Chicago where he had an electronic rock project called Sun Machine.  Elliott had another band that ran concurrently, a funky rock project called Shai Tuesday.  Sean and Jim had both been on a bit of a hiatus after playing with a variety of bands, mostly metal.  We bring an eclectic set of influences to the mix.  There are a few bands we all agree on, like Deftones, Tool, Alice in Chains, bands that are heavy, progressive, and strong melodic songwriters.     I have listened to Follow Me Dark several times now. I dig it. To me, it is a “dark room, headphones, no distraction” type of album. At the earliest stages, what were you envisioning this album to be? Was the result right on the mark or did it evolve into its own thing?    We’re glad you feel that way, as we in the band set out to make that type of album.  It’s an interesting thing because the vast majority of the songs came up organically and one at a time.  So on one level, the album traces the developing sound of the band in real-time.  Oftentimes Elliott, Sean, or Stephen will bring a riff to the group, it can be a brand new idea or something that’s been kicking around for years, and we develop it as a band as a live arrangement.  We’re kinda old school.  What you’re hearing is vocals, guitar, bass, and drum, usually full takes and minimal overdubs, so what you hear on the album is very close to what we sound like in the room.  Moving forward we may get more elaborate with recordings but we designed these songs to work with just four concurrent parts at a time.   As for the album itself, Stephen and Elliott stayed up all night figuring out a sequence that had a loose three-act structure, with the right peaks and valleys.  It’s definitely meant to be visceral and emotional.  It starts out with a bang.  We deliberately opened the album with several of our more hard-hitting, fast-paced, approachable songs, before switching into full overdose mode by "Ancient Ones" which is a sort of doom metal epic.  The middle section is super heavy and guitar-driven.  Then we end with a trio of more spacious, contemplative songs.  It’s definitely a three-course meal, as it were.  There’s a lot to chew on.    I am literally writing my interview questions while watching your January 21st performance at The Brick in Nevada City, CA.   A big tip of the hat to The Brick. Tell us about this unique experience. Anything else like this in the works?   The Brick is pretty much the only rock venue here in town and is our informal home stage, so we were thrilled when we were asked to do a live stream.  It was our first time in an actual venue in nearly a year so it was a great experience for us and we made sure to capture it so that you can pull it up on YouTube and have a virtual experience of seeing us live.  It was also our first show since we finished the album so we were able to get some of the new songs up on their feet.  We were hungry for it.  We are in the planning stages of doing a more low-key, acoustic live stream soon.  And hopefully, be able to be back on stage in person in a matter of months.   During your aforementioned performance at The Brick, at 22:38 who is the young lady asking, “Are you gonna take another shot?”  Just kidding…no names please…but it did give me a chuckle. 😊 .   For an emerging band (in 10 words or less) how important is it to have grassroots support? Any words for those folks?   We have many talented friends who have supported us, collaborated with us, fed us, housed us.  One of the best aspects of being in a band is having the opportunity to build that community around you that incorporates creativity and the DIY ethos.  Dark Army represent!   “As She Feeds.” Personally, I think this an outstanding tune. There is a very cool video for this, which we will feature in this interview. Please explain the story behind this song. Any moments on this album you are particularly proud of?  Lyrically, the song has to do with the darker aspects of the Mother or Earth Goddess archetype.  Stephen is a big fan of Joseph Campbell and this kind of philosophical question gets into the lyrics.  The line "as your blood feeds the earth" represents that kind of raw statement, an acceptance of the cost of living.  The video was a labor of love for our entire circle of friends and collaborators.  We shot it in a day on a minimal budget and everyone was pretty thrilled with the result. As far as the album goes, we all have our favorite moments, I think a group favorite is the closing track, “Alone”, where we are able to use polyrhythms to take an acoustic ballad and push it into something a lot more intense.  That last drop in that song is one of our proudest musical moments.   The current album just hit the streets and I hear you are already working on new stuff? What can we expect?  In fact, we have taken a left turn and are working on several new songs that feature piano, cello, acoustic instruments, and overall softer dynamics.  It’s been really cool to explore the farther reaches of what this band can do and what our sound can be.  We also have a couple epic rock tracks in the works that are in the 7 to 15-minute range.  The new stuff is a bit more unpredictable, sweeter in some ways, and haunting.  So there will be some releases coming before we shift back into touring mode (hopefully) by the end of 2021.   Ok. Grass Valley, CA. If I were to visit, and it is a mere 1,100-mile drive, what would be the one thing I simply must see?   Summertime at the river is a magical thing here, but in general, it’s just a beautiful area with a lot of really talented folks around.   We thank you for your time, wish you all the best, and look forward to seeing you guys live one of these days. Any parting words for our readers?  Keep your chin up and keep the rock alive! December 9, 2020 - Alt Rock/Metal band Follow Me Dark ends 2020 on a high note with the release of their self-titled odyssey “Follow Me Dark”. Slated to go LIVE on the winter solstice, the 12/21 release is an impeccable testament to their dedication and perseverance. COVID truly changed everything for musicians, putting them in an introspective position to create art during a time when nobody is playing shows. In light of this, Follow Me Dark chose to focus on finishing their album right in time for the changing of seasons. In the spirit of challenging comfort zones, their full length album is meant to welcome people into listening to something outside of their realm of comfort. Instrumentally, the band taps into multiple genres in an attempt to convey a mood through music to reflect the dimensions that are inside of all of us. Their intricate textural interludes and melodic choruses captivate fans of alt rock, metal, psychedelic rock, indie rock and even rock opera. The modern psychedelic grooves and metal attacks tap into fans of Muse, Alice in Chains and Deftones.  Follow Me Dark’s emotional new album isn’t afraid to confront human nature in a very raw and transparent way. Consisting of Stephen Kozak (vocals/guitar), Sean Batinic (guitar), Elliot Grove (bass) and Jim Boots (drums), the band reveals a chemistry between bandmates that assists in amplifying their message in a relatable yet ‘larger than life’ way. Hailing from Grass Valley, CA, the band has successfully introduced their grassroots following to a progressive approach to songwriting. And in “Follow Me Dark”, the band embraces very organic musical peaks and valleys, offering a refreshing complexity to the alt rock/metal genre. “Too much music nowadays is predictable, it’s unexciting. It’s not surprising. That’s something we pride ourselves in; we try to make music that pushes you into “I didn’t see this coming. I’m off my rocker. I can’t categorize this” says vocalist/guitarist Stephen Kozak. Follow Me Dark by Follow Me Dark Full length albums are often hard to come by in our singles-laden world. But “Follow Me Dark” has a unique way of provoking you to commit to listening from beginning to end. The “Follow Me Dark” project embraces the darker parts in all of us that we aren’t always consciously aware of. With the release of their self-titled project, they hope to create an outlet for people who might be confronting some of the same feelings that they do; those feelings of dread, confusion, chaos and anger. In the words of drummer Jim Boots, “There’s a dark, shadowy feeling to the music that’s kind of what the world is going through right now.” And after such a turbulent year, it’s important not to ignore those feelings but to welcome them knowing that many are experiencing the exact same thing. While the light and positive emotions bring us together, so do the dark ones. Our imperfections make us relatable to one another and after a culmination of two years of intense creativity, Follow Me Dark hopes to provide their fans with cathartic & spiritual experience to wrap up a year that is sure to go down in history books. Diabology Interviewed By MHF! - @thebeast

Diabology Interviewed By MHF ! Sebastiano's statement: "The film shoot with my bandmates has been a magical moment. ICYMI: Halifax, Canada's  The Bloody Hell  has a new full-length in the works to follow their  award-nominated 2018 self-titled debut album   (Loud Recording of the Year” - Nova Scotia Music Awards 2018), and as they currently work on the sophomore release, they are sharing with fans a   new music video for the single  "When You're Gone". The band has teamed up once again with stop motion animator Diane Lindo who also did their 2019 video " Out of Our Minds ", which was nominated for an Independent Music Video of The Year Award by  Dropoutentertainment.ca . The Bloody Hell 's previous releases can be found on the following platforms:   Bandcamp ,  Apple Music ,  Spotify . Other Music Videos: "Nobody Cares About America Anymore" -    "The Last Word" -  For more info: Facebook.com/thebloodyhellhfx Instagram.com/thebloodyhellhfx About: The Bloody Hell is what would happen If George Thorogood sang for the Misfits but all the songs were written by Tom Petty. Super catchy horror rock songs about drinking and heartache played at punk rock speed.

RockshotsRecords: Signum Draconis To Release Metal Opera of Inferno, From The Divine Comedy by Dante - @thebeast

ICYMI: On Italy's National Dante Day, March 25th ,  Rockshots Records  announce they will be presenting later in 2021,  Signum Draconis ' heavy metal opera of Inferno, from The Divine Comedy written by Dante Alighieri. Canada's Vinyl Hero Shares Cover of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” - @thebeast

L-R - Costa Siarlis (Bass/Vocals), Ray Howard (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Tiburce Perlau (Drums, Vocals) Montreal’s  Vinyl Hero  is paying homage to one of the great English rockers with their cover of “ Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel . The song will be celebrating its 35th anniversary, as it was  originally released on April 21, 1986. The band  will also be commemorating the classic track with a music video to follow next month. The cover version can be heard at the following links: YouTube -    Spotify -  https://spoti.fi/3sr1i9n   Committed to breaking the mold of creativity and stretching the boundaries of what we all grew up calling  “Good Old Rock n Roll” , the band pulls no punches when delivering bouncy, enthusiastic songs. The cover of  “Sledgehammer”  is no exception and is the first in a series of singles set to be released as they explain: “We decided to release single by single. To make it easier for our fans to get to know us better and join us in the excitement after every single release. Fans should be expecting a bunch of new material for 2021.” Vinyl Hero  has established a distinct sound over the years and continues to release songs with a lot of soul, depth, tone, heartfelt lyrics, and powerhouse choruses. Along with this colourful reimagining of a classic track, the upcoming batch of singles will be a great representation of the band and the story they want to tell to their fans. Page by page, chapter by chapter.  No strangers to the stage,  Vinyl Hero  boasts an impressive live performance resume including multiple appearances at Indie Week in Toronto and Nappanee’s VoodooRockFest as well as touring across Quebec and Ontario. Their live shows are a continuous rollercoaster of entertainment from start to finish. They deliver high octane, fast-paced, honest, and real rock show. No bells or whistles, just three guys on one stage. Vinyl Hero ’s tunes are recommended for anyone who appreciates rock in all forms, especially fans of Queens Of The Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, and Big Wreck.  For more info: VinylHero.com Facebook.com/VinylHero Instagram.com/vinylheroband Twitter.com/Vinyl_Hero EPK About: Heavy and gutsy rock riffing served alongside palpable and unmistakable lead vocals! The feeling you get when headbanging to a Vinyl Hero tune is best described as a Symphony of Synchronicity. Three different individuals with one main goal. Ray Howard and Costa Siarlis (founding members) had a couple of years to curate their songs and sound with different members and once drummer Tiburce Perlau was added to the lineup their overall sound hit a level that has become Vinyl Hero's trademark sound! No strangers to touring, Montrealer’s Vinyl Hero have been hard at work tilling the soil along the Quebec/Ontario’s 401; headlining venues in Montreal such as Club Soda, and playing important support slots to blues legends like Pat Travers, Stu Hamm, and Alex Skolnick at the towering Le National Theater. The band has been a fan favourite at Mont Tremblant's Blues Fest and by way of consistent, steady, touring has built a vibrant and reliable following in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Kitchener, even as far away as Victoria B.C. along with numerous markets in their native province of Quebec. Vinyl Hero has graced Major Canadian Festival stages including Toronto’s Indie Week (three years running) and Nappanee’s VoodooRockFest. FM Radio spins include CHOM 97.7’s show Montreal ROCKS, and Oshawa’s the Rock 94.9 FM who have been ambassadors for the band in the greater Toronto area. Vinyl Hero was also nominated for Canada's best independent Rock Video in 2018 by Dropout Entertainment and was named Montreal's most popular vote for CBC's Searchlight. Their 2016 E.P. ‘Seven Days On A Train’ was released to great acclaim “Glam stomping, bratty tear away, excellent musicianship, ragged glory and scarves trailing all over the script” (Steve Swift – PowerPlay magazine UK)(Pure Grain Audio) “They crunch about that gravel path of theirs like there is no tomorrow .” (RockmusicRaider, Newsflash). In 2020, Vinyl Hero released their single "VULTURES" recorded at Montreal’s #churchofrocknroll recording studio The Freq Shop ran by Dave Traina (The Damn Truth) and multi-instrumentalist Derek Orsi. With influences drawing from Queens Of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, as well as fellow Canadians Big Wreck, Vinyl Hero has not placed its cross-hairs on adhering to a particular sound or bandwagon. The Montreal power trio is best described as Deep, Honest, Powerful, and True. Their ethos; to embody in music, humanity, living emotion, and the organic nature characteristic of music during the vinyl era, all while delivering smart arrangements with impactful dynamics and deft akin to power trios such as Nirvana and The Tea Party.

An exclusive  Decibel Magazine  vinyl edition of  Violence Unimagined  can also be pre-ordered here:  https://store.decibelmagazine. com/products/cannibal-corpse- violence-unimagined-exclusive- coke-bottle-swamp-green-lp Comprised of eleven tracks,  Violence Unimagined  is state of the art death metal played with passion and breathless precision, making for another flawless addition to what is inarguably one of the premier catalogues the genre has thrown up.  "It really follows the path we've been going down for a few years now,"  states bassist and founding member Alex Webster.  "I think we approach the writing in a similar way most every time: each of us try to write the heaviest, most memorable songs we can. We want each song to have its own identifiable character. Showing my age, I like to say you can 'drop the needle' on any point of one of our albums and quickly tell which song you're listening to." While they continue to do what they do with aplomb, the one substantial change to  Cannibal Corpse  is the addition of guitarist Erik Rutan to their ranks, joining Webster, founding drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, guitarist Rob Barrett and vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. Known for his roles in  Morbid Angel, Ripping Corpse  and most notably fronting the mighty  Hate Eternal , Rutan has long established himself as one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary death metal. Simultaneously, he has built up a reputation as one of the most in demand producers in metal, having previously produced four  Cannibal Corpse  albums (in addition to  Violence Unimagined ), alongside the likes of  Goatwhore, Soilent Green  and  Belphegor . Filling in live on guitar since 2019, in 2020 he became a full member, contributing to the writing process.  "I think the most noticeable difference on this record will be the addition of Erik to the band. He wrote three full songs for the record, music and lyrics, and his song writing and guitar playing have added something new, and I think his musical style integrated into ours very well,"  Webster enthuses. This is not all that he brings to the band.  "He's a great friend of ours, so on a personal level, he's been a perfect fit, as we knew he would be. Beyond that, he's one of the hardest working people I know, in music or otherwise, and he maintains a high energy, positive demeanor in challenging situations where other people might go in a negative direction. This energy and great attitude rubs off on the rest of us as well. That's really a perfect situation to have when you add someone to a band, or any kind of team: someone who's great at what they do, and also inspires the people around them." Already well known for the level of extreme technicality they bring to every record, on  Violence Unimagined , Cannibal Corpse  have further upped their game, particularly in Mazurkiewicz's drumming.  "I think we all pushed ourselves a bit technically on this one, with Paul probably pushing the hardest. This album is probably the most drum-intense album we've done yet. Part of that could be a result of Erik joining the band. His song writing style often features technically challenging drumming, probably owing to his years of experience in high speed death metal."  And with typically dark and warped lyrical content, Mazurkiewicz came up with the fitting title of the record,  "summing up what the band is about in every facet, and taking violence to another level of extremity." Royal Hunt - Dystopia - Reviewed By Fireworks Magazine! - @thebeast

Royal Hunt - Dystopia - Reviewed By Fireworks Magazine ! Check out the except from the magazine below! Royal Hunt are one of those perennial favorites who have the unmitigated talent to blend elements of a multitude of Heavy Metal subgenres. Drawing from Power, Melodic, Fantasy and Symphonic Metal, this band has built a reputation of releasing consistently favorable material. Unsurprisingly, ‘Dystopia’ is yet another wonderful addition to their ever-growing discography. Not being privy to a many Royal Hunt releases, ‘Dystopia’ hosts a plethora of notable guest vocalists. Unfortunately, a detailed outline was never provided as to who sang on what (female voice notwithstanding), so any praise is only speculative. Songs like ‘Burn’, ‘Hound Of The Damned’ and ‘Black Butterflies’ are absolute standouts. The illustrious list of guest vocalists include Mats Leven (Candlemass), Mark Boals (Ring Of Fire), Henrik Brockmann (Evil Masquerade), Kenny Lubke (Narita) and Alexandra Anderson (JSP). Unfortunately, the continually changing tonal aspects of the vocals is a bit of a mixed bag for me personally, but the effect on the overarching story/concept does make the totality of the album arguably more satisfying. Although it provides continuity for the story of this concept album, the duet ballad with Alexandra Anderson titled ‘I Used To Walk Alone’ seems to be the album’s only minor misstep. As majestic as it sounds, its over-the-top cloying sentiment makes it more suited for inclusion on any one of Disney’s classic animated feature films. Like many concept albums, this is no short listening affair which nearly runs an hour in duration. With the exception of the Introduction and two brief Intermission bits, no song clocks in at less than six minutes. For those entrenched in the style, that will be a welcome metric and it does allow for the conceptual aspect of the album to mature. Not surprisingly, ‘Dystopia’ is an album best listened to in its entirety and in sequence rather than shuffled. The album will appeal to a really broad range of Melodic Metal fans and all the subgenres mentioned earlier. While it never chases the tail of Progressive Metal for any instance, its ambition, concept and execution is not only expected, but is delivered convincingly by this band of veterans. Those who know Royal Hunt will be pleased and those new to the band will have a fantastic starting point before diving into their lengthy back catalog.  - Brent Rusche - Fireworks Magazine “ Dystopia ” released on December 16th via King Records (Japan/SE Asia) and on December 18th (UPD: physical format on the 15th of January 2021) via NorthPoint Productions (Europe / N / S America). A concept album offering a considerable expansion of the band´s trademark sound and featuring performances by guest vocalists: Mats Leven ( Candlemass, TSO, Skyblood ), Mark Boals ( Y.J. Malmsteen, Ring of Fire ), Henrik Brockmann ( Royal Hunt, Evil Masquerade, N´Tribe ), Kenny Lubcke ( Narita, Zoser Mez ) and Alexandra Andersen ( Royal Hunt, JSP ). “Dystopia” is available on ALL digital platforms (as MP3, FLAC), and as a regular CD (jewel case), various deluxe editions / bundles and a double heavy vinyl LP at  royalhunt.com Spotify:  http://bit.ly/dystopia-spotify   iTunes:  http://bit.ly/dystopia-itunes YouTube:  http://bit.ly/dystopia-youtube Amazon:  http://bit.ly/dystopia-amazon ROYAL HUNT - " The Art Of Dying " ft. Mats Leven (single version)  ROYAL HUNT  keep intriguing fans with their adventurous endeavors and the band´s 15th studio album is no exception: a monumental concept opus featuring symphonic, progressive yet hard hitting compositions full of impeccable performances, wrapped tightly into immediately accessible format and a lush, contemporary production. The addition of some extraordinary guest singers and their outstanding performances combined with vastly extended orchestrations creates a truly conceptual, cinematic feel throughout each and every track. Streaming Now! Progressive Metalcore NEXT DOOR TO HEAVEN's New EP "Inside" - @thebeast

Russian progressive metalcore band  Next Door To Heaven 's new EP   "Inside"   is now out as of Thursday, March 25th. The self-released EP is the follow up to the band's 2020 single   "Dance With Me"   and the 2019 sophomore album   "V Ways To Accept"   released on Sliptrick Records. "Inside"   features five djenty melodic prog tracks along with special guest vocals from Lord Nelson (ex-Stuck Mojo) on the record's closing song   "Flare Up" . The band's discography has always been known for flirting with djent metalcore influences and this new release is no different, except this time guitarist Evgenii “Gene” Mazunov took the helm on the band's sound with the use of a 9-string Ibanez along with bass, arrangement, and composition duties. Also joining as a guest for the recording is well-known Russian drummer Pavel Lokhnin (God Eat God, Dominia, Perimeter). Vocalist and lyricist Daria Mazunova comments: "We put our souls into the music we create, always. It’s not about making music for something in return, not about making it for fun. It’s about emotions transformed into music.  I would say for 'Inside', we entered into more metalcore territory though it doesn’t mean there aren't prog components or experimentation done. Conceptually, t he general idea of the EP is a fight between a human and a machine and a master/obeying inside one person. If you look at the cover art you will see a heart combined with a car engine in the moment of ignition."  "Inside"  is available at the following links: Bandcamp -  https://nextdoortoheaven.bandcamp.com   Spotify -  https://spoti.fi/3sfKjH3   Apple Music -  https://apple.co/3c4b8Z8   Amazon -  https://amzn.to/2PdmXDm   Track Listing: 1.
